I don’t have sympathy for any of them simply because they have the same legal path as anyone else that does the process the legal way and I work my butt off at my job in the US only to have my tax dollars support illegal immigrants here for things like free money and medical and all sorts of things. I just don’t have sympathy for those breaking the law. Sorry not sorry.

hah.. just got to that point, "and then it got to C!" As a person with a BS in CS.. you START with things like C (or java) in undergrad LONG before you ever get a Bachelor's degree.
Sometimes, people come from environments where government officials don’t work as they are supposed to. I once flew to the Dominican Republic, and I had brought some morcillas (blood sausage) from a specific store a friend of mine, whom I was visiting, had requested that I bring...and I didn’t know morcillas were a prohibited item! When I declared it, the customs officer actually suggested that I give him some US$, so he’d look the other way. People from such environments probably expect the immigration officers in UK, US, etc. to be the same way.
my heart breaks for the lady who had to be denied entry. I know where she comes from, and it must feel bad knowing you're the only one who can provide for your brother's college and your mom while living in a town where it's hard to get money. I hope she's doing well right now

She can work 20 hrs/week on a student visa, but a work visa will allow her more hours. I hope she does well.
Stop and think for a moment: if these rules weren't in place, there would be literally hordes of people coming from these countries, and would be by definition the poorest, least educated, and most in need of public assistance. No country could sustain that!

Did you see his face when he found out his wife was called??!! I suppose it's not their business if you're planning to spend time with someone who isn't your spouse...
Having watched several of these videos I have come to a few conclusions to ensure entry if you are not an EU citizen..... 1) No matter the purpose of your trip or how long you plan to stay...always purchase a round trip plane ticket. 2) Set in place a plausible reason to visit....have a legit person you can stay with or book a hotel, have all booking documents 3) When asked how long you plan to stay be sure your dates align with the previously purchased round trip air fare and your hotel booking.
Those are also the rule when any Westerners travel to other nations -- and we generally do. But for some reason, when we hold people to the rules we are evil...
5 hours is a long time to make sure he has enough money and a legit friend to visit. That should have been 2 phone calls and a bag search. 30 minutes tops. I'd have been pissed too.

I heard her mention St Pauls College. Well, I've found their website. They're based in an office block in London and you can order a student ID card on their website. This is how these people can get fake IDs. Its as simple as putting in your name and a photo and then they send your ID card to your home.

It is unfair but part of the risks so UK lorry companies tell drivers never to sleep near calais and not to stop once at any place immigrants can get in.
They need to get rid of those fabric side walls on the trailers. Solid metal walls with triple locks and triple seals on the trailer doors. Add in multiple exterior and interior recording video cameras for the trailers.
First off, it depends on if they can find a passport for that person. If immigration does find a passport, then regardless of the county, the deportation can simply take days because that is what immigration needs to send the person back. If no passport can be found, then it depends on the other country as to how long it takes to send the person back. Some countries can be quick in issuing emergency travel documents, others can be notoriously slow. When it takes 12 months to get documents, there is not enough room to hold those people so immigration lets them go.
I suspect it may be because they are in an area of the UK which is rural and a long way from London so have many many fewer immigration issues so have the time and money to do things properly. it is harder in London where they seem to let most of them go

An hour's commute is absolutely nothing in much of USA. It often takes that much time just to cross the I-5 parking lot in Seattle and about that much time to cross Prague. Sometimes the reasoning is a bit unreasonable. Rather flimsy assumption.
In the UK and many other Commonwealth countries - i.e. not the USA, State employed Customs staff are referred to as "Customs Officers" - not Agents. Agents are go-betweens engaged in commercial enterprise and facilitate imports and export - not people.
There is no doubt that an Officer is a person that performs a function for government. An Agent is a vague term, may be either a person or business delivering a service to any entity.
Just like in the USA many are visa overstays. They get in legally then decide not to leave.
