To anyone who might ask why there isn't that much in the way of cross references with Bible history to the histories written by other cultures, I would say that things were the same way then that they are now. When the Lord does some great work people find ways to explain it away because of their own lack of faith. Your Herodotus quote definitely proves this to be true.

Sad to say, because most "Christians" do not dig deep enough for themselves to find out the Truth - AS IT IS IN CHRIST JESUS, they are stuck in the "Courtyard" of the Blueprint Sanctuary looking up at Christ , but never going any further, not "seeing" the WAY, as He truly is!

Our Creator God has protected His Holy Bible from evil political, and religious leaders for many , many years!! The enemy of souls, Satan has used other tactics like perverted versions that cause doubt about the character of Jesus, His eternal roots, and His equality with His Heavenly Father, makes light of the cost of His blood on the cross, and others !! It takes a lot more faith to believe the earth came about by an accident , or big bang, and that mankind came from monkeys, and no wonder life is so worthless to many people around this earth! I choose to have my heart filled with the faith , and love of Jesus, and look for His second coming as my Blessed Hope !! Thanks Shawn for sharing this, even learned Christain can learn from this !! God keep you faithful to Him now, and eternally!!!

Are you aware that Shawn used a perverted version for "the Bible" quotations in this video? Here's something from the version Shawn used.
"For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, [in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison, because they formerly did not obey, when God's patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water." 1 Peter 3:18-20 from the English Standard Version (ESV), a Roman Catholic bible.
Notice that Christ was "made alive in the spirit" which means not in a flesh and blood body. Then His spirit preached to the spirits of wicked people that had died in the flood. If He spoke to tose wicked spirits, it would mean they were still capable of salvation. What a great passage to teach the immortality of the soul and the doctrine of purgatory.

This isn't the only Adventist ministry or channel. Many Sunday denomination ministries and channels also play background music.
They do so coz some subscribers like the music and these channels think they'd attract more viewers if the have background music. Yet, they don't realize they repel others.

The Bible is full of mistakes discussion reminds me of the time another Bible discussion was taking place involving Ruth & Orpah Naomi's sweet kind hearted Daughter's in Law.
Some how it was forgotten that Ruth and Orpah were both Moabitess.
I got seemingly and angry response sighting that if that were true than the Bible was a contradiction because Israel wasn't too intermarry with Ammonites or Moabites.
At first I wanted too say but refrained have ? Mark person's read their Bible.
I didn't instead I just said The Book of Ruth identifies Her and Orpah as being Moabitess.
That Naomi's husband moved the family from Bethlehem too Moab because of a Famine an The Book of Ruth maintains that this moment in Israel's History in The Promised Land took place during The Period of The Judge's.
So Yes God did say don't marry Ammonites or Moabites I'm fairly certain not even too the 10th generation in which I'm just guessing is about um 1,000 year's? Into the Future?
I realized going back and Reading Ruth for myself that possibly the individual in the discussion was probably Bewildered by this aspect of The Bible.
What a few may forget is that The Bible wasn't Contradictory it was God's Children Israel living in Contradiction too The Covenant and The Commandment's of God so there are moments in Bible Study we kind of forget those Biblical Lessons.
It's why we must remember too Read our Bible's everyday.

If I were you, I wouldn't ask Shawn because he apparently doesn't even know which Bible is the real one and isn't aware that the "the Bible" he's using has mistakes galore.
      1. Start with the King James Version. It has no errors and if you're smart enough to write a coherent sentence in English you can understand it.
      2. I recommend that you start with Matthew, Mark, Luke or John. When you're finished with one of those gospels, then read the other three. After that you can go on to more challenging books and eventually the whole Bible.

I am curious what you have seen as "the big stuff" and the "small stuff" that Christians have agreed/disagreed on. This is not a slam at you, I am honestly curious as I am personally trying to understand that same distinction in my own beliefs. Growing up I was taught (without actually saying the words) that those outside my demonimation were sinners and going against the Bible on purpose. Is this something you could touch on in a video perhaps?

It has been 11 days and no answer from Shawn.
Here is one of the BIG ones. Close to all Protestant denominations teach that you should obey God's commandments, i.e., all the Ten Commandments except the fourth one that says to keep the seventh day of the week (Saturday) holy. Here is how it is...
"After all, fundamentalists meet for worship on Sunday, yet there is no evidence in the Bible that corporate worship was to be made on Sundays. The Jewish Sabbath, or day of rest, was, of course, Saturday. It was the Catholic Church that decided Sunday should be the day of worship for Christians, in honor of the Resurrection." Catholicism and Fundamentalism by Karl Keating with the nihil obstat of "Rev. Msgr. Joseph Pollard, S.T.D. Censor Librorum" and "+ Most Reverend Roger Mahony Archbishop of Los Angeles."
By the way, though Saturday is kept holy by the Jews, it was kept holy by God's people long before there was a body of people called Jews. As it says in Genesis 2:3, at creation God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it.

Christ was resurrected in a spiritual form, not a fleshly one. So how do we know the same doesn't apply to Lazarus, Jairus' daughter, and the son of the widow of Nain? I never make any assumptions based on apocryphal church tradition.

    • @martinlohne5128
      @martinlohne5128 8 месяцев назад

According to the Protestant Bible, Christ was raised in the flesh. According to the Roman Catholic bible which Shawn used in this video, you can come to the conclusion that Christ was raised "in the spirit" and you can use the same passage to teach the doctrine of purgatory. Here's the passage.
"For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison, because they formerly did not obey, when God's patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water." 1 Peter 3:18-20 from the ESV.

  • @martinlohne5128
    @martinlohne5128 8 месяцев назад

Well Shawn, you're using the English Standard Version (ESV) in a video intended to show there are no mistakes found in "the Bible." Kindly explain the following passage found in your "the Bible."
"Saul lived for one year and then became king, and when he had reigned for two years over Israel, Saul chose three thousand men of Israel. Two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and the hill country of Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin. The rest of the people he sent home, every man to his tent." 1 Samuel 13:1-2 from the ESV.
Let me explain this for you. If Saul had "lived for one year and then became king" that means he was one year old when he became king. If you wish to claim that the living started at conception, I'll give you an additional 9 months. That means Saul may have been around three years old when he "chose three thousand men of Israel. Even more remarkable, Saul was sent searching for his father's donkeys before he was king so must have been sent on that errand when less than one year old (See 1 Samuel chapter 9).
If you're going to try to show that "the Bible" has no mistakes, don't embarrass yourself and at least use a "the Bible" that has no mistakes.
If you wish to learn about more mistakes in your "the Bible," just ask and I'll be happy to share more with you.

👍 It irritates me when they can't indicate the translation version next to the text reference. To make it even more deceptive, images are inserted showing that the Bible is KJV. It's almost as if they're trying to show they're using KJV when in fact not using KJV.
The unnecessary background music with unnecessary high decibels also gets to me!

@@john843unbearabletestimony6 I don't think I said that so the answer to your first question is no. The majority believe there is no Bible on earth at this time that doesn't have mistakes. As for "a Scriptural stance on majority vs minority" the answer is yes. Very consistently throughout Scripture, meaning the real infallible Bible, it's very apparent that the majority has consistently been wrong.

  • @FollowGodsWord

The Bible is unique, in that it covers over 4000 years of Earth's history. It's composed of 66 books written by several authors spanning over 1500 years all to be accounted as divinely inspired by God.
There are several prophecies in books written hundreds of years before the prophecy was fulfilled and recorded by other authors. The Bible provides a historical account for major events on Earth, like the global flood that is alse evidenced by the Geologic Column and Fossil Record, along with pictographs by other ancient civilizations.
Unlike mythology books, thousands of people died as a result of demonstrating faith in the Bible. The vast majority of Jesus' disciples were martyred for their belief in Him (The Word - John 1:1-14). Many early Christians were fed to wild animals or burned as human torches as a result of their faith. Around 50,000 Christians were murdered by the Roman Catholic Church for believing the Bible holds more authority than the RCC. Even today, people across the globe are persecuted for publicly pronouncing faith in God and His Word. They continue because they believe.
Many people shared personal testimonies how God intervened in their lives. Their experiences helped them understand how real and how good God is.
I'm thoroughly convinced the Bible is divinely inspired by God. Even so, we must have the option to doubt to maintain the ability to demonstrate belief. For this reason, no amount of evidence can remove your ability to generate an alternative explanation.
Stories from x-witches who later became Christian explained some of their supernatural encounters, possession, magick, and God's protection from the evil they were instructed to perform against His people.
Limiting our interest to comprehend truth doesn't make it fictional.
