As a new Christian you better investigate the supernatural changes that were made in your bible in recent years because none of the ''men of God'' on YT are ever going to tell you about them.*
You better read Daniel 3:25 28 in KJV then NASV. KJV reads the Son of God, NASV reads a son of the gods. Make sure you read 28, it reads the same for both versions, God sent his Angel ie. Jesus is the Angel of the Lord.❤❤❤
I definitely was attacked yesterday, not face to face, but in social media. I was sharing Daily Strength and Jesus Calling devotionals and prayers from books. I didn’t feel discouraged by their hatred towards God and Christianity, I just felt annoyed. I used to feel nervous/discourage to share the gospel and the love of God like years ago but my faith I believe has grown stronger. Praise Lord Jesus.

THANK YOU, I hear people argue about the location of the Garden of Eden, and I always think about the fact that it was before the flood, and that we can not possibly expect to be able to find the location. Noah probably looked out upon the landscape and decided to name the Euphrates and Tigris rivers after the original rivers from before the flood. Like how people will name a city after another, York -> New York. I have NEVER understood why people think that the earth would be even remotely similar after the flood, if you believe in the bible you have to understand that the flood destroyed the old world. Lands ripped apart, layers and layers and layers of sediment containing the tsunami remains of animals swept away... where Noah landed, was the new location of humanity. Before.. only God knows.
I completely agree with you! Plus, I tend to wonder if most of what has been the dry land, post-flood, might have originally been the seabed, pre-flood; and vice versa, if most of what has been the seabed, post-flood, might have originally been the dry land lived on by Adam and his antediluvian children (so that, for instance, for ought we know, the garden of Eden may well now be at the bottom of the Sargasso Sea, or the Mariana Trench). A global inversion, so to speak. Not saying I think that was the case, or that anything leads me to think it was (though, on the other hand, I don't know that any of the Biblical data contradicts it). But, if God has a sense of humor, He surely could have done so...all the while making sure man will never locate Eden short of His direct revelation of it!
The Garden of Eden is a spiritual garden located in Paradise. The banishment of the fallen angels was initially to Paradise where that well known event took place. It was following that further act of disobedience that the physical creation of the earth as the highest level of Hell was necessary as part of God's Mysterious Plan of Redemption.
I forgot how much I love this organization. I am currently in Bible college, and even then, doubts can still creep in, but videos like this help to strengthen my faith! Thank you Answers in Genesis for being a light in the Darkness!
As you know, in Genesis are the correct, God-breathed answers to these two, interesting questions: 1. *What is earth's all-time lowest, greater-than-0 human population number?* Answer: *1 individual* (namely, Adam). 2. *What is earth's all-time lowest, greater-than-1 human population number?* Answer: *2 individuals* (namely, Adam and Eve). Have fun trying to get any Darwin cheerleader to answer either of these questions. The Darwin cheerleader learns very quickly how utterly worthless to him is his falsely so-called "science" ("science" is what he asininely terms his vacuous Darwinistspeak) when it comes to a confrontation with such questions. I mean, what's he going to do? Answer them respectively, "1 individual" and "2 individuals"? Obviously he's not going to do _that,_ since those are the same answers God gives in His Word, and he's a fist-clenching, dyed-in-the-wool rejecter and denier of God's Word. In short, what it comes down to is that he is forced into silence regarding these questions, pretending as though he never heard them asked, since he, as a Darwin cheerleader, has not a shred of hope of ever responding rationally to them.
ANSWERS IN GENESIS needs to stop associating Science with a SCIENTIFIC WORLDVIEW. There is no such thing as "secular" Science anymore than their is "Christian" science. Science is a METHOD and it seeks TRUTH. While it's true than the NEW ATHEISM is thankfully failing and THEISM back on the rise, saying the Earth is 6000 years old and ignoring the fossil record isn't needed to believe in GOD ALMIGHTY and JESUS CHRIST as the redeemer of mankind!! ANSWERS IN GENESIS makes alot of mistakes and tells alot of UNTRUTHS (not sure if these are intentionally lies or just ignorance) but GOD is the GOD of Science, just as GOD is the Almighty Creator GOD and author of the BIBLE. All this said, we don't have to tell UNTRUTHS to push for JESUS CHRIST!! The Earth is ancient and GOD made many life forms along the way before GOD made MODERN MAN and made modern man in the IMAGE of GOD!! The EARTH is 4.5 Billion years old, any Christian PhD Geologist and Christian PhD Astronomers will verify this!! This isn't CONTESTED fact, it's TRUTH!! GOD BLESS!!

There's a RUclips page that concentrates on nothing but showing alleged contradictions in the Bible, often using mocking cartoons to try and get a laugh (humor is a tool people use to get you to like what they post). I was challenged to watch them and respond, and I did, and I enjoyed it as they were all SO EASY to refute! I have read the Bible cover to cover several times and studied it in depth (not bragging, just stating facts) and so it was easy for me to refute them. I went into reading God's word to learn the truth. They go in looking for errors (this is also what God's word refers to when it comes to looking into God's word with an "unholy curiosity", if you're looking for contradictions, that's exactly what that is, you have evil intent) and they find errors because they don't understand what they're reading and they haven't read it all. It was actually an interesting challenge and I highly recommend you ALL go looking for these contradiction videos and then refute them publicly, showing off how foolish they are. It will sharpen your knowledge of the scriptures and you may just help someone else out there who could be duped by these lies into understanding the truth.
I find it helps my own study to search out these allegations because the truth always refutes them. I’ve found most who criticize the holy Bible have no idea what’s in it.
Sometimes we gloss over the word substance in the verse...Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Substance in the greek is hypostasis. Hypo means below and stasis means to hold or stand. It literaly means to hold or stand under. We can visualize this, as in a building, like a foundation or piling or column on which the building is supported. So faith is not just some willy-nilly belief floating around in the clouds. It is a belief born out of physical and spiritual evidence that God gives us so that we have a "reaasonable expecation" that supports our belief. We hope for eternal life and more importantly we hope for a loving relationship with our creator. He has given copius evidence that this is true.....sub - stance... stand under...Understand?
@@nathanielalderson9111 faith is belief in a proposition without evidence to support the conclusion. In contrast, trust would be an evidence based reason to believe a statement or action to be true.

2 Timothy 3:16,17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
And that means "life giving." It is not a reference to NT scripture, as none of the authors had a NT. The author of 2 Timothy is referring to the Hebrew Bible. This entire video is a lovely example of apologetics. Like when he discussed the 4 different accounts of the number of angels in the gospels. His own words are "Maybe Mark only focused on the angel that was speaking." That Maybe is big, because it creates the possibility, and so long as that possibility exists, then our presuppositions allow us to ignore discrepancies.
@@MrBlakeD82 Going by what Christians are to believe, that the Holy Spirit inspired the writers who wrote these books, to say that 2 Tim 3:16 did not refer to the NT is false. You're forgetting the true author of the scriptures and that he was fully aware of what was being said with those words. It refers to the whole Bible, not just the OT. And the 'maybe' you mention is not ignoring a discrepancy, it's giving a valid reason for why it may exist in the first place.
@@razark9do you realize that all historians worth their salt even in acknowledge Jesus lived. They can even tell historically, not through the bible, that he was a person that was crucified by the Roman catholics. This is stuff that is historically factual. So if you want to take that and go from it, maybe look at it from a different perspective. You sound like someone who's not being objective to both sides, at all.

John 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

The verse that says a man doesn't love his children that spares the rod... Does not mean to beat your children. The rod or staff with hook that shepherds used was to guide the sheep on the narrow paths on the mountain and the hook with to pull them out of holes that they might fall into. Good shepherds did not hit their sheep! It's telling you to guide your children in the way to go! It's easier to teach your children the right way than just to hit them when they do wrong!
And yet here we are, several generations after physical punishment was outlawed, with children showing very little respect for any authority. The Bible doesn’t mean people to beat their children, but the odd smack when they were out of line sure worked wonders in times gone by. But unfortunately the pendulum has swung too far the other way. The elderly used to get respect and placed first, now children are given that place of honor.
Once, a man who had heard his minister say, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and he will not depart from it," and he later asked the minister, "How do I train up my child in the way he should go?" The minister replied, "By going that way yourself."

On March 26th 2022, just past midnight, I was restless in bed, my limbs became numb & tingly, my chest became tight, & my heart felt like it was being crushed. So I sang out to God and Jesus, about my pain, my feelings, my faults and my inabilities.
As I sang, I began to feel like a river, & a hand was on my back, it's fingers where skimming the surface of the waters, separating the waters, causing ripples through my body. Then the hand reached inside my chest, lit my heart on fire, & the heat moved like waves through my body. When I was done singing, all the pain was gone, & I looked at the clock, it was past 1am, I had sang near an hour.
Then the voice of my guardian angel called my name from above, & there was a hymn of energy in the air, the same hymn I hear in my dreams of God. Glory, Honor, blessings, thanks and praise to the Lord my God, for healing my heart during a heart attack! Hallelujah to the Lord my God for healing my heart! Hallelujah for His son Jesus for saving my soul! Hallelujah for every day! Hallelujah for every breath! The Lord is Faithful and true! Hey Mr Chaffey! Glad to have had you as my science teacher in high school at TSCS. Some of my favorite memories heading to AIG with you. Learned a lot from you!
20:48 *"can you give me one example where a mutation has added new genetic information?"* To my understanding, mutation generate new genetic information, that's the point of calling it mutation. New information in the form of new states of biomolecules, makes the DNA to do something different than it did before. Here no information was added (increased) in the genome, but genome information has changed. In DNA ´information´ means the specific physical states of biomolecules that determine how living organisms function. If the information changes, DNA changes, and what is does change. *Now, talking about if is possible to INCREASE the information on genomes, an answer I read was:* Gene duplication followed by divergence is a well-known example of mutation that increases information in the genome. This process is a key driver of evolutionary innovation. What basically happens is that in a cell division, a segment of a DNA containing a gene is duplicated. With time the duplicated genes can accumulate mutations, yet still perform their necessary functions. These mutations lead to the gene acquiring a new function or a modified version of the original function. The genome now contains two genes where there was originally only one, each serving different roles. This way the information content of the genome has increased. *About the "pause" in Dawkins answer:* What was asked to Richard Dawkins was this: "can you give us an example of a genetic mutation or an evolutionary process which can be seen to increase the information in the genome?" And he didn't pause to think for an answer, he paused because the interviewers there did not posed as creationists when they agreed with the interview. He paused because he was about to end the interview, but he was pledged to continue since the people were from Australia or something like that, and travelled all the way just to interview him. So after agreeing to continue, they went to another topic but that was cut out. He does answer this question in his books, but I never read them.
I’d look into other information.. there’s no reason for us to even consider the Bible is the word of anything other than men. You’d need to give people a reason to look at the Bible over any other claim of god(s). So why pick the Bible?

I know, works of fiction can be quite beautiful. Might I suggest something from the realm of sci fi, aliens are much more interesting to read about than wizards. No offense to your lesser Gandalf character.
@@Oskyosky2009There are wizards in scripture? Where? What book? Chapter? Verse? You claim to know something, so please, enlighten me. Or is making up your own stories the best you can do? Yeah, I think so. Trolls just can’t stay away from Christians, can they?
Might I suggest other fantasy novels to read? Perhaps a good sci fi? Wizards can be cool, although Gandalf had quite a bit more powers than jesus, what kind of power is healing the blind when you can blind orks using a staff?
@Oskyosky2009 do you know the difference is between a work of fiction and a historical account? One is real the other isn't. Despite what you may want to believe, Jesus did exist. And there are eyewitnesses who saw him perform miracles. Gandalf is a fictional character, Jesus is a real person. Regardless if you want to believe otherwise.
@@_fire_fox_1152 Please get your facts right. Jesus may have been a real person (or perhaps the stories are based on a real person), but there are no eye-witness accounts. Stories about eye-witnesses do not constitute eye-witness accounts.
@@BruceFox-Lefriche Actually, virtually every scholar to ever live, as well as ancient historical scholars are 100% certain that Jesus not only existed, but even was crucified, and we even have reasonable evidence to support the truth of the resurrection, with the empty tomb. If the disciples were hallucinating, and they really didn't see Jesus, and were just making the whole thing up, wouldn't it be easier for the authorities to just have people check the Tomb? wouldn't it be easier for them to send a batallion of troops, open the door of the tomb, and show that The dead Jesus was there the whole time? but no, We historically have an empty Tomb! the Phariees and other officials simply responded saying that the disciples stole the body... somehow, but that couldn't be possible, because The Romans positioned soldiers in front of the Tomb, with a huge stone rolled in the front. Impossible to get past if these crazed disciples just wanted to steal their master's body. And if you really are going to stick with the idea that it was hallucination, what drug where all the disciples smoking then? How did all of them see Jesus? The same vision. I think it would be a greater miracle that rising from the dead to say that the 500 witnesses who saw Jesus' bodily resurrection were all having the same hallucination. But let's assume this somehow happened, ok. Or, better yet, let's say that the disciples stole the body, and convinced everyone else that Jesus had risen. Ok, fine. The disciples, those who were personally with Jesus, and many others, were led to their deaths. The most gruesome, awful, horrific ends a human could imagine. They were skinned alive, sawn in two, burned, beheaded, crucified, or fed to wild animals. Do you REALLY think that these guys would suffer these horrible, horrific deaths, based on something they knew wasn't true? Based on a lie they concocted to, what? Get rich? seriously, what do you people think these guys had to gain? The bible had to be written by SOMEBODY, and we have valid historical proof that much of it is from the sources tradition credits them with, so why would this happen if it was all a fake?
We can understand what He (God) has given us in His Holy Scriptures through study and prayer. To say that we cannot come to understand all of what God has given us in His Scriptures is to say that He did not do a good enough job in his Word for His children to be able to understand Him. The "not knowing all of that which He has given us in the Bible" is due to our lack of devoting ourselves to His word not on Him being clear enough. The key to all of this is to study and show oneself approved, be in his Word and "study" not just read, you must dig into the Scriptures. We cannot fully know God, but we can truly know God and that is by His authoritative, inerrant, infallible, necessary, and sufficient Word. Enjoyed the video!
"God enjoys hiding somethings from us..." The answer to the that is in Proverbs 25:2 "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter." It is not a matter of if we knew everything, we would be God. It is a matter of Him giving us challenges. We have to really WANT to know the answers. God is no proponent of the attitude, "There are some things that man was not meant to know."

In 2 Timothy 3:16, in my ESV Bible, it says, "All Scripture is God-breathed..." I just prefer that term personally. To me, that term makes it clearer that God spoke the entire Bible. 😊
For whatever it's worth .... I like 2Ti 3:16 KJV - 16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: God communicates in many ways with mankind and that includes the scriptures. He first wrote the 10 commandments Himself. Another example is from Jer 36:1-6 KJV - 1 And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, [that] this word came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 2 Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day. 3 It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin. 4 Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and *Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book* . 5 And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I [am] shut up; I cannot go into the house of the LORD: 6 Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, *which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the LORD* in the ears of the people in the LORD'S house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities. The main thing is that we believe the Bible came from God. 🙂
Thank you for this! I will say some great tools we can use to show why the enemy is wrong is stuff like this - being able to explain why the bible can be trusted. It's hard for me to explain why I have the faith I have other than it being a gift, but when you have solid, concrete reasons why the bible itself can be trusted, it's hard for the nay sayers to argue with that.

@@bbjornr One can judge a tree by its fruit, so I figured the Q'ran was not the word of God. And when researching it, I actually assumed that it would be reasonable, historically accurate, but misconstrued by its clergy. I found out Mohamed married a Catholic woman. Later said that he was punned to the wall of a cave three times by a demon who forced a message on him. He told his Catholic inlaws about it, they convinced him that it was actually the angel Gabriel, and thats just the beginning. If you believe in God being all powerful and literally spoke the universe into being, then how is it difficult to believe anything written in his word?
From what I gather from nonbelievers that aren't full of hatred is mostly scientific. They believe in evolution and a universe made over 10 billion years ago because that's what they were taught. They're either completely unaware of the scientific evidence against their theory, or, they are aware and choose not to believe it. Other reasons they've told me is that you can't see God. They don't understand that mankind is fallen and disconnected from God which is why Jesus existed to reconnect humankind back with God. And one other thing is they want to know who created God. They don't understand He's infinite, eternal and has simply always existed. It's difficult for some people to grasp the eternal aspect of Gods nature.
When someone tells me 'The Bible is full of contradictions' I ask them two questions: 1. Contradictions, huh? Name the one that MOST bothers you. and, once I've dealt with that ''contradiction'' ... 2. Is THAT the only, and REAL, reason you don't believe in the Bible? Most times, I find that at some point the protestor against the Bible will do something that always proves my second point: 1. They shift the goal posts... moving on to some other perceived or claimed ''problem''... because... 2. The REAL reason that people don't reject Jesus and the Bible is NOT because of some perceived ''contradiction''. There's something else at work.
The age at which Ahazia took the throne is given twice, in two different books. Each book gives a different age. This is a clear contradiction. They cannot both be correct.
You know what's funny? Christians act the exact same way as every other religion when their book is criticized. Except yours in the only true one of course 🤣
Oh yeah? Care to explain why God is supposedly omnibenevolent but also creates evil? Proverbs 16:4 says, "The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble". Why would an all good God need to create evil?
@@Sam_Hyde_Apologist Answer: 1 John 1:5 KJV [5] This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. There is no darkness in God at all. Rather we may understand that or not. God created the person, and that person choose evil. Therefore that wicked person who choose evil, is for the day of wrath. Plus God has another plan for those who choose evil, for them to repent. This also what proves my point: Acts 17:30-31 KJV [30] And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: [31] because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. The answer is easy - to help spread the truth through logic and reason. It is disconcerting to see people declare that they love Jesus and then display hate to their fellow man. This shows that people are truly not being honest with themselves about their own values. One way to help people see reality is to gently let them realize that the bible is not inerrant. Careful review of the bible lets one realize that it is a combination of both fact and fiction. This realization does not mean that there is no God nor does it mean that the bible should not be read for the powerful inspiration that it provides. Everyone should read the bible.

I have an issue with the point at 14:22 , God has said that His Word will by no means pass away (Matthew 24:35), so could you consider this to be an example of exactly that happening?
The Bible is the word of God. He chose each and every word carefully. Every word is true. And no word contradicts another word. Some word are figurative, and some words are literal. Both are true. It is not a history book like we would write. It is His story. It is God writing to us about God. To our tiny minds, God is a mystery. It makes sense that we wouldn't understand everything. But thru it we can see and know God. Thankyou for your word, God. Amen.
2 Samuel 10:18 and 1 Chronicles 19:18 both speak of David slaying the Syrians cahriots. The first lists 700 slain, the second lists 7,000 slain. This is a contradiction. I believe in God maintaining the message of the Gsopel, but to say there are no contradictions is a stretch.
Yeah, but that doesn't acknowledge human error. It isn't an error in the Bible, it is an error in the translation, or maybe in the interpretation - perhaps there was another instance not recorded, or maybe it was disputed at the time, but I believe there is a logical explanation in every event recorded on the Biblr
I will say that when people start attacking and attacking, it is a good idea to pause, step back and evaluate what your goal in the conversation is and reestablish what both of your goals and points are

A contridiction is having two statements of the same idea, but they're both saying two different things. You can Google contridictions of the Bible and look for yourself - that's what I'm doing. Some aren't, but some definitely are, regardless whether or not it's significant or not; 700 vs 1000 is a contridiction. Like the Prophet Gad telling David that Adonai says three years of famine in one account, and 7 years of famine in another account; that's by definition a contridiction. Now you may think like me, it's written by humans, as the Bible doesn't shy away from that fact - though guided by the Holy Spirit. However, if a prophet is saying two different things, is he really a prophet? If the Bible is true, we MUST be fearless and search out for the answer, because truth is truth regardless. If we don't, we don't really care about truth, but feeling comfortable in a religion.

The name, meanwhile, doesn't matter, especially when it doesn't actually match the birth year of Christ. The contradictions start in the opening chapters, where inconsistent creation stories are told. Genesis chapter 1 says the first man and woman were made at the same time, and after the animals. But Genesis chapter 2 gives a different order of creation: man, then the animals, and then woman. (?) Genesis chapter 1 lists six days of creation, whereas chapter 2 refers to the “day that god made the earth and the heavens.” (?) Chapter 1 reports that the fruit trees were created before the man, while chapter 2 indicates they were made after him. Genesis 1:20 says the fowl were created out of the waters; Genesis 2:19 alleges they were formed from the ground. (?) Contradictions are also seen in the biblical story of the deluge. According to Genesis 6:19-22, god ordered Noah to bring “of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort . . . into the ark.” Nevertheless, Genesis 7:2-3 relates that he ordered Noah to take into the ark the clean beasts and the birds by sevens, and only the unclean beasts by twos. (?) The Old Testament contains an interesting contradiction in the story of the census taken by King David and the resulting punishment of the Israelites. God was so angered by the census that he sent a plague that killed 70,000 men. According to II Samuel 24:1, god had caused David to take the census - which makes the punishment appear even more nonsensical. But an attempt was later made, at I Chronicles 21:1, to improve god’s image by claiming that Satan incited the census. Further, the Old Testament is contradictory as to whether god commanded the Israelites to sacrifice animals to him. At Jeremiah 7:22, god denies he ever gave the Israelites commandments about animal sacrifices. In contrast, Exodus 29:38-42 and many other verses depict god as requiring the Israelites to offer animal sacrifices. The story of Jesus’ birth is also contradictory. Matthew 2:13-15 depicts Joseph and Mary as fleeing to Egypt with the baby Jesus immediately after the wise men from the east had brought gifts. But Luke 2:22-40 claims that after the birth of Jesus, his parents remained in Bethlehem for the time of Mary’s purification (which was 40 days, under the Mosaic law). Afterwards, they brought Jesus to Jerusalem “to present him to the Lord,” and then returned to their home in Nazareth. Luke mentions no journey into Egypt or visit by wise men from the east. Concerning the death of Judas, the disloyal disciple, Matthew 27:5 states he took the money he had received for betraying Jesus, threw it down in the temple, and “went and hanged himself.” To the contrary, Acts 1:18 claims Judas used the money to purchase a field and “falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.” In describing Jesus being led to his execution, John 19:17 recounts that he carried his own cross. But Mark 15:21-23 disagrees by saying a man called Simon carried the cross. The list is endless ... the bible is an anthology of writings by men over the centuries, redacted, changed, rewritten, etcetera. It's a mess, demonstrating that humans composed it to their views, not overseen by this infallible Sky Daddy.

I wish they had touched on the apparent contradiction of the two genealogies of Jesus. That is the most commonly raised one by critics, being the most difficult to resolve. Having dug into it extensively with two brothers, I'm rather confident at this point that Mary's father was also named Joseph and Matthew has been mistranslated to list Joseph as her husband rather than father, hence the generational miscount stating 14 generations where there is clearly only 13 if Joseph there is her husband rather than father. There are two middle ages Hebrew manuscripts found in Italy that have the Matthew's Joseph down as Mary's father as well.

2:45 Angel Angelo in greek originates from the Hebrew word Malach מלאך and it simply means a messenger. In the Bible many times it is aheavenly messenger, sometimes Lord himself, and sometimes human.
Right out of the gate you poorly define contradiction. It's making a statement claiming truth, and then also claiming it as false. It is making a statement as truth, and then making another statement as truth, but the two statements together cannot be both true at the same time. Example "The sky is blue." "The molecules in the air make the sky green." I have now committed a contracictory statement to the first. He also mentions Mary Magdalen, but not all accounts have Mary Magdalen, and some have a different Mary. That is a contradiction. There's also the reason Joseph and Mary left their home. Was it for the Census of Quirenos, or was it for King Herod. During King Herod's reign, there was no census. That wasn't until years after Herods death. What about the commandment to not steal? Jesus told a man to go into town and take a donkey. If the owner asks why he's taking it, tell him the Lord needs it. Thats theft. No matter how you look at it, they are to take this donkey with or without permission from the owner. We do have four accounts if the gospels, but two of them are nearly identical in every word, which like you said, is suspect to the actual truth of it. There's alsl several "non canonical" gospels that didn't make it in under the idea that they didn't fit the narrative well enough. The church admitted this. To study? What happebed to not rely on your knowledge but to rely on your faith? "Trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." Your first point on common mistakes is wrong. You never assume the author is telling the truth. You can choose to do so for the sake of ease, sure. But that's not a good or valid reason to believe in anything. If there is a claim that is made, it must hsve evidence to support that claim that is independent. That means it supports only itself and no other contradictory claim, can be verified and is true. What would the bible be guilt or innocent of? Its a horrible analogy. They who make the claim have the burden of proof. Not those who don't believe the claim. Also, nonbelievers didnt say the Hitittes didn't exist, they said that we shouldn't take the claim as true until there is evidence of such. And guess what type of science found the evidence. Archaeology. Guess who dated it? Archaelogists. The same people answers in gensis claims cant accurately date things. How do the four corners of the earth mean the four cardknak directions? East and west is just one endless circle that is based on location. It's relative. North is relative to the north cap, south is relative to the south cap, so they at least have stopping points, but east and west don't. Its just a circle. Also, how did you conclude this? Or did you just pull it out from nowhere like God did the universe? Yes, every person who has ever criticized the bible for endorsing slavery, telling you how to buy, sell, trade, beat and even have...uh...less than consensual entertainment with... slaves. And dont give me "Chattel" vs "bonded servitude." It calls them property. That's what Chattel means. You claim the Bible is written by man inspired by God. Well, the only animals we know that can write, have wrote and still write are humans, so ill say there's enough evidence for the first half. But how do you know the bible was inspired by God? Could someone write something and think they were inspired by god? How do you prove who really was? I have no idea what the writinf styles of the bible have to do in rerence to what we're talking about here. It doesnt matter what was okay back then, the reason we have the rules on citation is precisely because of the lack of being able to identify where quotes come from. As an example, the very first line of the bible is a copy of another religious text. Those two verses you showed are an actual contradiction. Like, even the was you explained it is still contradictory because that is entirely made up. The bible doesnt say that they then purchased the field with the money Judas refused but technically it's Judas, therefore he bought it. That doesn't make sense logically either. If I stole your debit and spent the money, that doesn't mean you bought me a car. It means i purchased a car with stolen money. You also make up a story entirely made up, once again, in order to not make it a contradiction. You made thst story up. The bible did not claim that was the vase. That's still 100% a contradiction. Round numbers are fine. As long as they match relative historical numbers and can be verified, i can accept them as truth. Otherwise, i just don't know. How do we know the original text is inerrant if we dont have the original texts? Also, the sections that we do are often still filled with contradictions. You're confident when it was written originally that it was inerrant...why? You have no reason to believe that. Circular reasoning. The bible is true because God made it. Which god? The god of the bible. How do we know he is real? The bible says so. "Just believe" is not a good reason. Just believe me. I'm right. Faith is beleivng in somethinf without good reason. If you jsd a good reason, you eluld give the reason, making faith useless. I don't want to destroy your belief. I care about truth, and I want everyone to care about truth because evidence shows that the more true things you believe in, the better society runs as well as the happier the people are. Every mutation is new information. Easy answer. Evolution is a fact. Its crazy how people miss this. Theories. Explain. Facts. Theories are sets of explanations bscked by the best facts amd evidence we have for OBSERVED PHENOMENA. Gravity is a fact, the thory of gravity explains it. Cells are factually real. Cell theory explains cells. Germs are actually factually real, yet still, germ theiry explains germs. Theories. Explain. Favts. Im done now.
Also, I am stealing that burden of proof part. So many people that I have talked to about my lack of faith say that a god of infinite power could easily fill any contradiction in the Bible. Then they need to prove that that god exists
Hey, I really appreciate this...This may save my families life..I'd say more about the personal details, but it's the internet. Never realized how low of a bar the bible set for god and me about god. A all-knowing god wouldn't use a word that means something entirely different than the definition of that word. ya use a different word/correct yourself, duh. Cheers, mate. Thank you for taking time out of your day to write this.
Faith is choosing to trust and then respond to situations from that place of trust. I trust that Jesus is who He says He is and that He will do what He says He will do. Everything Jesus did happened and everything He says is true. Jesus is coming back to earth to finally bring end to the evil we see now and this earth. All those who knows Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour will live forever with Him on the new earth and new heaven where there will be no more tears and no evil. Everyone who doesn't want to live with Christ, whoever does not want to place their hope and faith in Jesus Christ to the very end will get what they want: a life without the presence of God, but without His presence you lose acess to love, peace, and all things good permanently. That life will be filled with everlasting torment. This is why the news of Jesus needs to be shared while there is still time. The opportunity to know Christ as your Lord and Saviour is open to you until your last breath or until Jesus has come back. The real question is will you let Jesus personally lead you to everlasting life? I don't need to know your answer, the answer can stay between you and God. If I am wrong then you have nothing to worry about but if what I said is true, then everyone's life is a stake. As for me and my household, I will serve Jesus Christ and wait on his promises.
@@tdcampbell7728 you realize that people cannot just *choose* to believe in something, right? If I told you the sky was green, you would say that the sky is blue. If I then said that all you had to do is choose to believe that the sky is green and then it would turn green, you would call me insane. And yet, that's the argument you're making for religion
@@tdcampbell7728 You're definition of faith is a useless definition. If I just trust that Gerald the magic giraffe will set us free in eternal peace of the infinite white room, it makes it no more valid than your claim of Jesus being true. Evidence is required for truth to have meaning. Otherwise, we would believe in any and everything that "feels" right to us, which is not how reality works. It doesn't matter whether I trust in gravity. It works. It doesn't matter whether I trust that atoms exist. They do. It doesn't matter if I trust in electrons being attracted to protons. They are. You're statements about believing in Christ are just stupidly wrong as well. I was a devout Catholic who was desperately trying to to strengthen my connection with God. I believed he was talking to me and guiding me. He wasn't. I was. I realize this for myself. Maybe there is a God talking, I'm not sure. But if it is the Christian God, he's a monster and you shouldn't worship him. He allows slavery, he allows human sacrifice, he allows the murder of humans, he allows the genocide of peoples, and there's no good reason to even believe he's real in the first place.
The best answer I can give you for historical fulfillments, is that the New Testament writers and early Christians didn't explained the Tenakh or Hebrew Bible (text like Isaiah 7) in a mathematical way or in a rigorous precise literal manner. That was not their intentions and it caused them to be branded heretics by the Jewish authorities. Their manner of interpretation was always to parallel (types and shadows) the meaning of what was written to their modern day. 🤔And of course ... this created dual interpretations of prophecies, and the types in the Old Testament were foreshadowed in the New Testament in grandeur and spiritual meanings as to what is coming. For example the sacrifice of the lamb foreshadowed the sacrifice of Jesus. Circumcision foreshadowed baptism. The Passover feast foreshadowed Holy Communion. The Sabbath day of rest foreshadowed rest in Christ and His gospel work. The Ark of the Covenant foreshadowed Mary and the cheribims the angels in heaven. And we can go on ... And this is how many Messianic prophecies of the Old Testament foreshadowed were fulfilled in the New Testament, and still others to be fulfilled until the second coming of Christ ... Now ... of course my dear reader, Orthodox or Rabbinic Jewish scholars will not endorse the New Testament interpretation method (also demonstrated by Peter in Acts 2 using Joel's prophecy).☝🏽 Nevertheless, Christians truly believe and hold that this method of interpretation is INSPIRED. For the Spirit of God is able to add and subtract different dimensions of meanings from His own scriptural works, move people's hearts, and apply the scriptures to our modern times ... so as to bring about the salvation of souls. 🙏🏽Regards
He didn't prove anything, he just stated that the contradictions, weren't contradictions. I guess because he says so? Then he brings up multiple theories, where Is the evidence for them? It seems to me that ones perception plays a significant role In the bible. Also.. who said that All scripture was Inspired by God? I believe It's Paul that says this, correct? Not, Jesus? For me, there are a lot of unanswered things, that I'm just now getting the privilege to explore. Is God static? If so, doesn't that make the bible REALLY REALLY REALLY hard to explain to the younger generations? Considering they do have access to the world wide web after-all. I pray Jesus shows me truth within this topic. I'm searching for answers and I will continue to reflect on this. Thank you. God bless.
It's very important to realise, as you state in the video, that some people, no matter the evidence, no matter how good your case is, they just don't want to believe in God. Scripture sums it up well: "Luk 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. ". Doesn't mean we stop praying for these people's conversion, but we do need to allow it to put things in perspective for us.
Rom 1:20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. Then there is Jesus and passages such as John 14:11. For me this is more than enough evidence. Heb 4:7 ... “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”
@@cedzander You're right, there is no one verse that can prove God, Christianity or anything else. But it does show amazing insight and wisdom in telling us that some people no matter what you say or show them will still refuse to believe. Yes there are many beliefs, but there is only one Jesus. The one and only answer to the world's sin problem is Jesus. As Jesus himself said: "John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me." I encourage you to read the Bible, it will be the best news you're ever going to get.
Concerning Judas, I believe he fell down from where he was hanging during the earthquake that struck when Jesus died. If the quake was strong enough to rip the curtain of the temple and split rock, it could have caused judas’ swinging body to fall and be split open!
10:10 This is a travesty. On the screen at this timestamp is the literal definition of a contradiction. Look at the two verses. They state entirely different things. That is a contradiction. From google, the definition of contradiction is: "a combination of statements, ideas, or features of a situation that are opposed to one another."
Slavery is an acceptable practice according to the bible. there no sugar coating this. what was it again about every story being different? does it even matter?
The Gospel Truth didn't have to be repeated several times to be called 'The Gospel Truth'. Even the repetitions have contradictions in them. What is the truth? What do we believe?
Hi, atheist here! I literally just wasted the time it took to watch that video because you didn't debunk ONE single biblical contradiction. Like whether Jairus's daughter was sick (Mark 5) or already dead (Matthew 9) when he came to Jesus. Whether Jesus stood before Pilate on the day OF Passover (like Mark says) or the day BEFORE Passover (like John says). Whether Jesus went into the wilderness for 40 days "immediately" after his baptism (Mark) or attended the wedding in Cana 3 days after his baptism (John). Whether the men traveling with Paul (at the time of his conversion) heard a voice (Acts 9) or heard no voice (Acts 22). There are more, but I don't want to make this comment too long. All of your reasoning is just support for a presuppositional way of thinking. If someone already believes the Bible is true and the inerrant word of God, then maybe the things you presented here could potentially strengthen that belief (assuming that aren't skeptical enough to question any of it). But not one word of what was said will do anything at all to convince a Bible denier that these contradictions may actually not be contradictions. They definitely are. Nice try. Try harder.
Mark: v22 vs. v35; Matthew v18 vs. 24 - the girl was still alive at first, but died shortly after. Jesus will bring her back to life.|| Mark vs. John re Passover: when does a day start for Jews vs. Gentiles? ||Acts: they heard a voice vs. they heard the voice (one can hear, but not understand what is being said)|| I hope this helps. May the Lord Jesus bless you.
Hello, just wanted to point out that the book of Mark is written chronologically while John is written topically. There is no contradiction, just different ways to present a collaborative account.
There is however objective truth. In my opinion, too much work has to be done to reconcile certain contradictions. For true believers, no work (no matter how seemingly far fetched) is too great.
The Christian saints accepted the contradictions, seeing that the New Testament was an improvement on the myths and stories of the Old Testament and that is why our religion is Christianity and not Judaism.
4:25 "you'd assume someone coached them on what to say" someone like god? if the bible was inspired directly by god you WOULD expect them to say exactly the same thing because it is supposed to be the word of god, they were supposed to have been coached by god on what to say

As you know, in Genesis are the correct, God-breathed answers to these two, interesting questions:
1. *What is earth's all-time lowest, greater-than-0 human population number?* Answer: *1 individual* (namely, Adam).
2. *What is earth's all-time lowest, greater-than-1 human population number?* Answer: *2 individuals* (namely, Adam

*"can you give me one example where a mutation has added new genetic information?"*
To my understanding, mutation generate new genetic information, that's the point of calling it mutation.
*Now, talking about if is possible to INCREASE the information on genomes, an answer I read was:*
Gene duplication followed by divergence is a well-known example of mutation that increases information in the genome.
*About the "pause" in Dawkins answer:*
What was asked to Richard Dawkins was this: "can you give us an example of a genetic mutation or an evolutionary process which can be seen to increase the information in the genome?"
And he didn't pause to think for an answer, he paused because the interviewers there did not posed as creationists when they agreed with the interview. He paused because he was about to end the interview, but he was pledged to continue since the people were from Australia or something like that, and travelled all the way just to interview him. So after agreeing to continue, they went to another topic but that was cut out. He does answer this question in his books, but I never read them.

God communicates in many ways with mankind and that includes the scriptures.

Problem is people actually getting his word. Truth In Genesis - Why use the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible

When someone tells me 'The Bible is full of contradictions' I ask them two questions:
1. Contradictions, huh? Name the one that MOST bothers you. and, once I've dealt with that ''contradiction'' ...
2. Is THAT the only, and REAL, reason you don't believe in the Bible?
Most times, I find that at some point the protestor against the Bible will do something that always proves my second point:

1 John 1:5 KJV
[5] This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
There is no darkness in God at all. Rather we may understand that or not.
God created the person, and that person choose evil. Therefore that wicked person who choose evil, is for the day of wrath. Plus God has another plan for those who choose evil, for them to repent.
This also what proves my point: Acts 17:30-31 KJV
[30] And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: [31] because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Why do skeptics troll Christian sites? What is the payoff/benefit/gain? What makes trolling the highest and best use of their time?
The answer is easy - to help spread the truth through logic and reason. It is disconcerting to see people declare that they love Jesus and then display hate to their fellow man. This shows that people are truly not being honest with themselves about their own values. One way to help people see reality is to gently let them realize that the bible is not inerrant. Careful review of the bible lets one realize that it is a combination of both fact and fiction. This realization does not mean that there is no God nor does it mean that the bible should not be read for the powerful inspiration that it provides. Everyone should read the bible.
@@leeleonard2746 Oh, I understand that skeptics believe that they are smarter, wiser, and more rational than Christians. What I don't understand is how do they, personally, benefit from their trolling? Does trolling give them something superior to all other possible uses of their time?

The Bible is the word of God. He chose each and every word carefully. Every word is true. And no word contradicts another word. Some word are figurative, and some words are literal. Both are true.

@@Taehc *Ironically the only desperate attempt here is demanding to use a different name to distance yourselves from the religious implication, yet still shamelessly use the same number.*
The _number_ is more important here, because a good chunk of our civilizations internal interactions rely on that number by virtue of the cultural dominance of European-descended nations.
The name, meanwhile, doesn't matter, especially when it doesn't actually match the birth year of Christ. Call it Anno Domini or the Common Era, it's still starting at a time that isn't Jesus' birthdate and doesn't _need_ to be so heavily intertwined with Christian mythology.
*Use like Earth's actual age or something, people! Seriously, Dude, seriously.*

It is the year 2024 if we go by the Gregorian calendar. Now that we've got that out of the way, would you quit with the sad whining? And better yet, are you gonna actually deal with the problems your GOTCHA has with Jesus' supposed birthdate?
How would you explain the apparent contradiction in the prophesied name of the messiah (Immanuel) vs. the name of Jesus.
The contradictions start in the opening chapters, where inconsistent creation stories are told. Genesis chapter 1 says the first man and woman were made at the same time, and after the animals. But Genesis chapter 2 gives a different order of creation: man, then the animals, and then woman. (?)
Genesis chapter 1 lists six days of creation, whereas chapter 2 refers to the “day that god made the earth and the heavens.” (?)
Chapter 1 reports that the fruit trees were created before the man, while chapter 2 indicates they were made after him. Genesis 1:20 says the fowl were created out of the waters; Genesis 2:19 alleges they were formed from the ground. (?)
Contradictions are also seen in the biblical story of the deluge. (?)
The Old Testament contains an interesting contradiction in the story of the census taken by King David and the resulting punishment of the Israelites.
Concerning the death of Judas, the disloyal disciple, Matthew 27:5 states he took the money he had received for betraying Jesus, threw it down in the temple, and “went and hanged himself.” To the contrary, Acts 1:18 claims Judas used the money to purchase a field and “falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.”
In describing Jesus being led to his execution, John 19:17 recounts that he carried his own cross.

Isaiah 7:14 is fulfilled in chapter 8.
Thank you.
God bless.
It is encouraging to read you are seeking truth about God. How is it going?
@ Ups and Downs. I suppose that’s normal. Thanks for asking. How’s yours going?
@@IIMeanDeanII Going good. Ups and downs as well. To me it helps finding a time to dedicate to God. Helps you focus and also learn more.
There is no evidence, you dope.
@@JimmyDAal how does that prove that the true god is yhwh ? there are many beliefs. This verse absolutely does not prove chirstianity is true lol
@@JimmyDAal no thank you, this book has horrific verses in it. It's not a benevolent god, read 1 samuel 15:3 it's just one example amongst many.
He doesn't pause to take a breath, this brother. Bravo for the content!
Concerning Judas, I believe he fell down from where he was hanging during the earthquake that struck when Jesus died. If the quake was strong enough to rip the curtain of the temple and split rock, it could have caused judas’ swinging body to fall and be split open!
Someone else talked about this and said that the rope could have been too weak and his alive self fell and splat
Awesome exposition. Many thanks.

The Bible never contradicts itself because it's inspired by God.
That is stupid. Period.
there are so many contradictions it's just false lol and you know it.
If you believe that there are no errors or contradictions in the bible then you'll find a way to prove yourself right.
Then he's lying?
If you believe there are errors and contradictions in the Bible then you’ll find a way to prove yourself right
There is however objective truth.
4:25 "you'd assume someone coached them on what to say"

if the bible was inspired directly by god you WOULD expect them to say exactly the same thing because it is supposed to be the word of god, they were supposed to have been coached by god on what to say
