I stumbled across one of your programs about a year ago. It didn't take long for me to go through your catalog of shows. The one thing you have taught me is to look deep in the word so now I am going back through the programs to see what I missed. Living in a rural community with a rotating pastor can really slow down a person's spiritual growth. Your ministry is so vital to people in my situation so that we continue to grow our relationship with God. Thank you for all that you are providing to so many.

I heard your message and do agree that the sooner we put aside our personal bias and expectations of who God is, the sooner we can start having a very real and personal relationship with a God who reveals Himself to us as our eyes are opened. It's crazy how much the Lord spoke to me through this episode. My last sermon was from that story of Elijah and it was on how to notice God's love in the small things of this life and the next sermon that He's been cooking in my heart was going to be based out of Romans chapter 1 and 2 and it's going to be about the difference between the abundant blessings we receive doing things God's way instead of our way and what it really means when He says that He wants to give us life and life more abundantly you guys are doing God's work in lives more than you could ever know Shabbat Shalom 🙏

This Was AWESOME!! I was feeling a bit depressed/Sad over some trials that have come into my life of late, even the suffering of my long time best fur friend. 😢 I've know our Father for a while and have seen many times the way He's blessed me and shown me His love. But thinking it not impossible I've been asking Him to heal my fur baby and answer a few other prayers for others. No my pup is not healed but getting worse, no my prayers for my family members have not been answered, no my prayers for people who are addicted and suffering aren't being answered-yet. Today Pastor Shawn, you reminded me God sees, knows and may be answering prayers in ways I can't see! I love Him and will step back and trust the process. I know He cries with me, rejoices with me, holds me close as I hold Him close. Silently but present. God knew I needed this today. Thank you for listening to His leading for not just me but for the unbelieving, doubting and skeptical. 🙏🏼❤

Right before turning to my usual Sabbath dose of The Voice of Prophecy, i had one of those what i call Elijah prayers/Jacob's Time of Trouble praying time... the kind , well i NEEDED God. I know enough to understand that God is good and will not my prayer the way i want.
Quite frankly, i don't know what to ask for. God knows the end from the beginning.
One prayer that i know God ALWAYS answers is: " Thy will be done." If i cling to God in prayer long enough, He provides peace. You have to spend quality time with the ONE you love.
I found ,as usual, this video was also a blessing from God . All praise be to Jesus Christ, for we have an High Priest who understands us above and beyond all i ask.

I love this video! Shawn makes a lot of points that help me face my own struggle with skepticism.
I have a question about the parenting analogy. God is definitely in a position to “parent” us, even as adults. Yet, parents are teaching their kids to be ready to exist on their own in a world that doesn't jump to meet their needs. It doesn't seem like God expects us to live entirely on our own. But, is it, in fact, the case that He wants us to depend on Him less, or at least less directly, as we mature spiritually under His guidance? I'm reminded of Galatians 2:22-13 (the fruit of the spirit) which includes self-control. I'm pretty sure, to start with, He wants us to depend on Him more-essentially to let him raise us, but maybe He over time wants us to do things ourselves (fueled by His power). What are your thoughts? What relevant Bible passages come to mind?

Arguments and conclusions drawn from the Bible are only as convincing as the historical accuracy and supernatural claims of the Bible itself. The largely untouched issue is the assumption of the Bible’s status as a record of actual things and the basis of that assumption. The subject of the Bible’s origin, creation, translations, and compilations should be carefully considered before arguing from its presumed authenticity (some irony there). If you do this bit of homework - before assuming the Bible to be an accurate account of ancient world events - you’ll find there are many reasons to suspect the stories within are no more reality based than the discarded myths and tales that preceded them.
There’s little point drawing from points in the Bible to resolve theological questions if the text is fiction - making all this sermonizing an enormous waste of time and so much misleading gobbledegook.
Study the history of the Bible itself and bring a critical eye to its authenticity before deriving conclusions about the world from it.
Preachers require your faith in the Bible’s authenticity to proceed. Don’t yield so easily on this count.
It is challenging to think that God would want to have a personal relationship with me. Trying to put God in a test tube is different from trying to get to know Him. Trying to prove that God exists is more of a sterile activity that doesn’t move you to a personal decision. But if w a’re in a relationship with Him, that changes everything.
I find your program very thought provoking. My perceptions of God and His purpose for me are clearer as I see another way to look at and study His word. Thanks for the blessing your program offers to searching Christians. 🙏
I always struggle with this topic, but my struggle and pain is because of my sin and knowing that God is who He says he is. I know I'm missing obedience and fall we'll short of it. So I fall but I try to get up and ill never stop trying

Because He gave us a brain and He gave us a heart. And mouth, ears, hands, eyes, vocal cords, etc. Matthew 7: 7, 8.
God is not silent he created all things with the commandment of his voice. Word is matter! As far as the context of the video he typically communicates with us by the word, unless you have to discern the spirits, then the holy spirit speaks from your heart.
Your message runs in a thread I have been contemplating, myself.
I think God is speaking to me..
All I have to do is open my eyes and God is true. I see the vast universe and the wonders of creations etc. I do have questions, and some may seem impertinent, but most of us have wonders and questions.

Yep. I do the same thing. If my attention is elsewhere. I do not hear what others are saying. Sometimes I have to ask 2 or 3 times what they are saying.
