Rich at Airis is a cool dude, I had him make a custom one of design “ Maximum Overdrive” pedal for me on his savage drive platform
this is dash cunning. the output section of a rat is a pretty powerful gain makeup stage. make a blend from the front half to the output, slap an HM-2 EQ in there, merciless.
That last tone was gnarly as fuck, but instead of diming the high end I would back it off just a tad

@@skxj No, the first two Obituary albums predate the Valvestate for one and his use of 800s is well documented, just go take a look at their old live footage. His rig was always a Stratocaster (even tho during the Cause of Death tour cycle he was seen with a Warlock) with a medium-high output pickup in the bridge (tone rolled off) -> ProCo RAT 2 -> scooped out 800 -> 1960B with a quad of G12T-75s -> SM57.

Cool idea and implementation to get all 3 circuits working together. Sounds killer and pretty versatile to work with each of the heads you used
I'm gonna have to get one, because it's awesome and Airis Effects is awesome. I've tried doing modeling this pedal digitally with my HX stomp, and the HM2 EQ with the Rat sound amazing.
My beloved Savage Drive started failing, and Richard fixed it free of charge. Awesome dude, and now I've got my favorite overdrive back.

I picked up a used Marshall 100W Vintage Modern because of the 4 each KT66 power tube section and that it is a fairly simple 2 channel amp. The 4 KT66 power tubes are awesome sounding but I feel like the amp needs a Mod or two too reach its full potential. Does anyone have any suggestions for where and what mods and what mod companies are good? Love your channel Kyle⚡️
