The spot looks awesome. Be careful with the having shows piece of it. I used to own a record store in Buffalo where we used to have shows. A guy broke his leg moshing and sued us for $500k.
We don't live too far apart...I may have to come to one of those hardcore shows. It's been a while for me but I'm open to getting a black eye.

What an awesome space, man! Really excited for you. Every town and city needs a guy like you with passion and a plan to have some kind of punk/metal/hardcore Mecca like this. I used to tour the country a good bit with my previous bands and I noticed early on there's always at least one of "those guys" in every town that is the foundation of the heavy music scene there. The music scene in Erie may not "be that great these days" but people like you make scenes happen in the first place. It's definitely a "if you build it, they will come" type of effect. Over time this will encourage new bands to start up and record and can really revitalize the entire area. This is going to be a great place to get all kinds of music related things accomplished. I wish I lived closer so I could go check out a show once it's up and running. Congrats!

Dude, you’re doing it by the punk values. Build it yourself. Do it your way. Build community. You’re plying everything corporate to fund it. This a big deal man. You provided a service in showing us gear we probably couldn’t try ourselves. Now you’re providing an affordable space for people to rehearse and put on shows on their own. Massive respect bro.

One way glass film so you can see out but nobody can see in during the day, security features, cameras, motion sensors, insurance, list all gear-values, hinged-lockable window bars, open for occupancies, closed and locked after hours. Now the good stuff, some acoustic baffles, awesome lighting, youtube creator collaboration invitations. I hope it all goes well for you. Perhaps renting your gear for extra income? Nice ride! As a much older dude, let me advise you ahead of time on occupancy. The local fire department will likely need to look at your space before you put 100 people in there. And then there are sprinklers, etc. I’m not dinking on your vibe. Just giving you the benefit of my experience. Best of luck!
