How to Make a Grave / Graveyard for Halloween with CookingAndCrafting

How to hide your bodies. I mean, how to create an easy grave that you can set up and take down in five minutes!
You will need:
One yard sized garbage bag
Scissors
6 U-shaped anchors (if necessary)
1 bag of mulch

Cut down the sides of your garbage bag and you end up with one long (about 6 feet by 2 feet) sheet of plastic.
Place it down on the ground. Anchor with your U-shaped anchors. Cover with mulch, with it spilling off over the sides, to completely cover plastic.
When you're ready to take the gave apart, just push the mulch back onto the bag and place it into a rubbish bag for next year!
I learned this technique about 15 years ago from Martha Stewart and have been doing this ever since.

I'm so glad you are enjoying! This is my biggest Halloween extravaganza ever!! Every year I have SO many thoughts and ideas and never allowed the time. This year I've stayed up working until 2am just so I can get some of these things done during the day. I LOVE the holidays and decorating for them, etc.!

I suppose it is a lot different when snow and cold weather can come into play.
If you cut pvc pipe and paint it black. Use liquid nails to attach it to the back of the tombstone. You can drive dowels into the ground and mine stay uo even when it's windy

Oooh nice!! I also have "grave covers"... like the lids of the coffins, etc. I have a whole TON of Halloween stuff that I put out. Once the entire graveyard is decorated, it looks very nice :)

Oh yes, that affects it a lot, it is sure a lot spookier, especially when we were young,going in our father's car, along the dark, spooky street at night, and then , when we got older, going out with friends, I remember going very fast from house to house , all down a few streets, we rushed home, and we showed our parents and they with us sorted through all the candies, Oh Halloween is so fun for kids, I don't know what they do now, I know my sister used to take her kids out, I think they went.2

Can you rent a metal detector? It may be worth it. They also have cheapy kid ones. It certainly can't be too deep in the ground and it can detect it? I hope you find it!!

What a fun idea! So good for Halloween! People around here as a rule just put lighted pumpkins in the windows, some do decorate quite a bit, it depends I guess where you're from and how much you like Halloween :)

I was planing on using the garbage bags too. But I was going to use soil for the grave. I didn't think about mulch. Do you find that the mulch dries and blows away? It's relatively windy here so that's my concern and why I thought about the soil.
...2 I think they went in groups, all dressed up, she has a picture, and it was still light out haha, not like the old days I guess! Have a spooktacular Halloween !

Ruthie, I tried SO hard to find that video again. I have almost all of my first two years of YT on my hard drive. I'm not sure what I named it (should probably do a date search!), but I couldn't find it, so we did an impromptu video in the back yard. Yep, wearing a mic. It allows me to do things further away from the camera. I just don't know WHAT to do with the receiver thingy when I'm wearing a dress!! So I shoved it it my bra (LOL!!!!) it was that or hang off my panties hahahaha
