I use one. Dries overnight here even in here winter in NZ. So light and wears well. I use a 3:3 even in 11degreeC water. Won’t go back now I don’t think!
Hey Yeowart, do you deal very well with the cold or is this suit really so warm? Do paddle and surf a lot during a session or does it also happen that you have to wait some time in the line up till you catch some waves? In the places I surf it's kinda crowded and I'm looking for a suit that is quite thin but still warm enough to also keep you warm when you're not moving that much. How does that suit perform in situation like that?
Ricardo Klünter it performs well. The only thing I notice getting cold To the point of discomfort is my feet, and very occasionally my knees. I wear 5mm gloves and 3mm boots. But standard neoprene. Google ‘Seventh Wave Wetsuits New Zealand’, that’s who makes my suit. If the wind is up I wear a 1mm vest under my suit and attach a hood in mid winter. And a 3/3 suits fine. So a 4/3 would be more that adequate here.
I bought one. Tried it on, felt tight. Figured it would loosten up in the water. It didn't. Still tight one year later. Im a MT in all other brands I've owned, but apparently i should have sized up with my feral. Still no leaks with 100+ surfs. And very cozy. Just tight
Tyler Muehlhauser I recommend 7till8 custom tailored wetsuits. They also use the Yamamoto neoprene and I love the fit. Best wetsuits I’ve ever had. Would never go back to off the rack as they never fit quite right.
how to the feral volcom modulator suits? they dont use the yamamoto rubber but still made by feral. looking at buying my first full wetsuit for year round in hb so cal.
Hello, I have a bad rubber, neoprene allergy, I have read about yamamoto neoprene, they say it might be okay. My issues are caused by carbami mix and tiurami mix, which are used as catalizators in the rubber. Are these components present in the yamamoto ? thank you in advance
Yammoto neoprene isnt "rubber" in the sense that its not made from natural rubber trees, but rather is actually made from Limestone. its a different chemical makeup. Polychloroprene vs Cis-4-Polyisoprene (naturally sourced rubber)
Yeah! I know half a dozen brands using Yamamoto limestone rubber. Wouldn't it be possible to test them head to head and forget all about the heavy old petroleum based neoprene of old?
Been using this season's Xcel comp 5/4 here in England for the last month luvly and stretchy suit but the knees r starting to wear though probably last another month fingers X used it about 30+ times Xcel used to be bullet proof not anymore my last infinity 5/4 started leaking after half a season and the knees went quicker than ever b4 t time to try something else I think
I don‘t understand 4/3 wetsuits that are made for warmth but don‘t have smoothskin chest and lower back panels. Guess where you guys surf there‘s never any wind.
Feral’s 3/2 is actually 3.5 mm and 4.5mm thick. This info is on their website. This is why it’s warm. I’m sure it’s less flexible than my O’Neill psycho one 3/2 I have Feral 4/3 and it’s actually 4.3mm and 3.3mm. Not sure why they do this.
But you think the yamamoto is flexible? I use only Hyperfreak o'neill wetsuits because they are so flexible even the 5/4! I want to try the Yamaoto but i'm afraid it will be a lot less flexible.
@@goncaloFOD I think that if yamamoto suits/Feral had the same thickness as O'Neil, they will be comparable in flexibility. Feral feels less flexible than O"neill due to their thicker wetsuits (ie 3/2 is actually 3.5/2.5 etc) , in my opinion.
@@ocwaveoc69 Many Thanks for you reply! I just bought one SRFACE remix wetsuit, to try out! It looks very similar to the Ferral and is 100% yamamoto 40# as well! Here in Europe we don´t have the Ferral wetsuits!

I have both the 3/2 and the 4/3. Love them. Can't stand the lining in most suits. Warm and comfy.
Give me one to try in late January in Massachusetts.

The sled is sick too.
Waddell is sooo sharky. Glad you made it out of the water kids!
If we knew how cold the water temperature was during the test it would have been more objective. Now as its stands its just an add.
It's a part of a bigger test, that you can watch on the channel.
You guys should try the Srface wetsuit they should also be made of the same Japanese neoprene but way cheaper
I don’t get it, why aren’t they worlds most popular brand?
Cheap and high quality
DO they ship world wide or is there a place to get them in the USA? Thanks, they look great

Not much of a review, just one big fat advert.
This is pulled from another video where they compare it to other brands.
If you can wear a 3/2, the water is not "frigid and icy"
Tony Stokes he literally said “low 50’s” and idk where you’re from but for me that’s cold
East coast 50 is pretty nice 😂😂😂

Do they ship to Syria?
Sir,, please share me ur website shopping link about this wetsuit... So I would like to get it 😊
How about SHEICO? I've heard a lot from my business partners saying that SHEICO has best wetsuit material and strongest manufacture in the world.
They make pretty much all the name brand wetsuits apparently. Rip Curl, Billabong, Quicksliver etc....all Sheico.

Smoothskin is only good if it doesn't tear, which is does easily.

Wait, this is sponsored by Feral? Doesn’t that make this an infomercial?
The entire wetsuit test was "sponsored" by all the brands in that they provided their wetsuits to be tested and used.
Oh fair enough then, thanks
Yamamoto is a company that makes different types of neoprene. Saying ''It has yamamoto rubber' means nothing.
You have no clue what you’re talking about ….
