Yesterday I was lvling my monk as WW and a guildy wanted to join a TW run as DPS so I said I'll switch to MW and learn on the fly. No one died and I had a blast healing with the monk and thought this is easy. Then I watched your videos and saw I was doing nothing near optimal healing at all, haha! Yo! Great video. I wasn't really feeling Chi-ji during the prepatch so far, until I realized I wasn't playing with Faeline stomp yet. Those talents under it will help so much once we get into DF.

Great videos! I started the xpac as WW, but I have been playing around with MW with recent waves of buffs. Former CE MW and I can say your content is hands down the best MW content that I've come across. I feel like healing guides in general lack repeatable/max throughput rotations and don't provide a example of say... 5 globals before Hyrja lightning storm, then healing rotation within the storm (shoutout to newer video you posted). You read a DPS guide and it's like you're reading a phd thesis. You read most healing guides and it's like reading an IGN review for a game the author played for 5 hours. Granted I get that DPS is a science where healing is more of an art... but more content like yours!!!

The only thing you'd really gain from Yu'lon > Chi-ji is Soothing Breath which is like our Soothing Mist, and that ability really doesn't do much. Chi-ji offers more in M+ than Yu'lon does and you can still gain the EnvB from Chi-ji even if you get pushed out of melee momentarily. Mana also becomes a concern with Yu'lon, even with the reduction.
4:43 I don’t understand how you get the three bird stacks for your second and third enveloping mist. Rsk and BoK is 2 bird stacks and Tp and BoK is also 2 stacks.
ig it depends on how much u need/want to heal (cause ScK is slower than rsk/bok) and how much dmg u want to do on aoe packs and reject healing for it, i dont think there is a set point for it cause every pull has different conditions
This rotation is only when you have ChiJi up and to get the most HEALING out of it. ScK is for damage, so if everyone is safe and you don’t need the optimal healing throughout of this rotation go ahead and use ScK often.
Interesting and good video! I'm wondering for m+ if there isn't a target cap for it ? Because okay going in with 3 stacks of BoK is great but after? If you stand on fealine stomp for SCK then also SCK heals and does DMG and you get passive stacks of chi Ji.. So I guess you would say if there is low to medium DMG that should be sufficient or even when there are a lot of target better? Do you have any thoughts on that? Or is resonating fists talent so strong that RsK ist over SCK even in multi target ? Cheers :)
It kind of depends on the damage that's going out. If you need smaller instances of maintenance healing or you're just using Chi-ji as a mana saver, you can stick to SCK on 5+ targets because that is the point at which SCK > BoK for damage. But if you have bigger tantrum/burst damage coming out, you'll get more healing out of the BoK cleave.
Great video, thanks for making it. Had a question on the Jade Bond rotation though- right after I use TFT Essence Font, how do I do RSK > EnvM > RSK? I see that it can work with focused thunder, but then we have to give up upwelling in raid which doesn't feel great. Do I just replace the 2nd rsk with tp if it's still on cooldown?
I'm a fresh MW and trying to get this. This EM, you just cast in on yourself and let Chi-Ji do Celestial Harmony? Since when needing to select a target for it, it will slow down.
Brand new to MW for DF. Started messing around in 10 keys just to get a feeling for the class. Great vids btw. My question is outside of chi ji do you ever hard cast EvM? Aldo would should I be using my Tea on? By default I use it on EF but ie that the right move?
Usually only end up using EnvM outside of Chi-ji if there's heavy ST damage going out like a big DOT/stabilizing the tank after a tank buster. TFT in M+ is usually used on EnvM for heavy ST damage, RSK for shorter CD, and EF for Haste when using Secret Infusion
@@Megasett oh and EvM do you ever hard cast it or would you do a smoothing mist first then EvM mist? I ask because hard casting EvM feels so bad, it’s like hard casting holy light as a hpal
@@jonathanr49 with GCD accounted for, hard casting EnvM is faster than SM+EnvM. Agreed it feels slow. Soothing is useful if you're going to follow up with Vivify, but with 10s instant Vivify the value of that combo is less likely to be needed.

It has a range, I don’t remember the exact # but it’s like 15 yards or something so you need to be aware of who you’re putting EnvM on to get it to spread

I don't fully understand enveloping breath when EM is casted. Does enveloping breath affect all 5 party members with a single cast of EM or just the target with EM. Also, is it worth to use TFT for instant EM while chiji?
You could if you can hit everyone with FLS for the HoT because you still have 12 seconds of Chi-ji to use and we want the EF HoT, also with Secret Infusion EF will give us the haste and FLS will not
I'm new to the class and i don't know what x3 stack of ancient monastery is. For me AM is on or off CD (triggered by FLS or EF)... Maybye i'm confused between TotAM and AM... I'm so lost... it would be easier if like my Disc priest i've got a precise cast séquence as for the Ramps up. Also i'm having a hard time to find the talent who add to the Tea a breathing mist in front of me. This talent is not on the Icy Veins guide... I've tried to copy the build for M+ on your google doc (it says click on link who lead to wow head, but it seems outdated...) I"m 376 ilvl and i do only +5 +6 keys because i don't know how to use Chi-ji... I thought disc was the hardest healer class, what a joke ! Sorry for my English i'm French. Have seen some of your videos since pre-patch dropped because I'm rerolling to MW. Great content, great presentation, congratulations. Would the chi ji window make sense within the raid build where we probably won't be rolling with Faeline?
We will still be using the first Faeline talent that gives us stomp because in raid we also run Upwelling so Faeline will be used to trigger AT, helps us full stack to 18 EF without spending stacks to trigger AT
It's been a bit hard to tell with all the health changes/tuning changes but generally mana will improve as people begin to learn mechanics of new dungeons. There's definitely been times where mana has felt worse in the same dungeon with different people.
Sorry to ask but I am new to fistweaving and I was wondering specifically about chino, from what I see you go into the rotation with 3 stacks do 1 3stack blackout and the. RSK black with no stacks then 1 TP into 2 stack blackout right ? Do you RSK inetween if you get a reset before the tea ?

Kind of, when people mention "fistweaving" they're referencing the playstyle that is currently performing the best. This is just utilizing one of our CDs but it does involve doing damage to heal
How many stacks of bok I should have during the crack bird window ? Do I press bok with 1 stack and then enveloping mist , or do I mostly aim for 3 stacks ?
If you have Awakened Faeline (which you should), you will never have just 1 stack. If you have Ancient Concordance (which you should) you will always get 3 stacks. I'd recommend watching the video again or looking at the graphics again, it's all in there.
Hey Meg, great video as always! Just a quick one: cant you just BoK in the Chi-Ji window whilst standing in Faeline and get all 3 bird stacks as long as there are 3 targets in front of you? Asking because you got the TP parts in the sequences shown.
Have you done much Mist Weaver PVP? Struggling to understand if it's even a viable healer choice given how much of the kit relies on melee vs the dangers of being hand-to-hand in these settings.
You don't run a melee build in pvp :) you use stuff like yulon and clouded focus for your talents as well as skipping talents in main tree for dmg, and verse mastery is you primary stats rather then then the pve go to, generally you wanna try to sit 40 yards away, and heal
I would like to know your opinion on the new changes to the classes and some youtubers putting mistweaver at the bottom of their tier lists... Is it really that bad?
Most people offering feedback on Mistweaver do not know how to play the class and think it's bad when it's really their lack of experience with it. Sometimes it's also just regurgitation of opinions from others as well.
I would have mentioned that in M+ just spamming spinning kick can also work really well if the throughout is high enough to maximize damage during the cooldown. But then again with the new talents the cleave is really strong too.
I was just telling a friend this last night, the tooltip given for Chi-ji (and honestly a lot of other MW abilities) just doesn't cover everything and there is a lot left unsaid OR the information for the CD is scattered throughout the talents/the spellbook. Definitely something I hope they are looking to address in the future.
@@Megasett It’s definitely something that won’t appeal to everyone. Especially those who enjoy being in melee actively dpsing. But I found echo to be such a fun and versatile spell I was able to look past its flaws. But to each their own

Does anyone know what the average cd of Chi-Ji ends up as when using Jade Bond? Currently use Gift but if JB knocks a minute or more off it might be better to use that.
wtf are BoK EnvM RSK TP? Why not just write out the names of the skills/talents. When you make a guide people who are new to the class are going to watch it. None of us know what any of that means.

Yeah sorry that was a typo on my part, TFT with EF, pretty much every TP can be replaced with RSK if you get the reset

EF isn't used for the healing it does, more for the HoT it leaves, Vivify cleave would be more effective at groupwide healing than EF

Felt it mostly in Revival and a bit in Vivify cleave, hoping they'll address it but it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be

RSK takes prio to TP if you get a reset yes

If you just want the bird stacks sure, but the additional BoK that we get through cleave will also proc Gusts of Mists from Chi-ji

There's definitely a lot going on with the spec! Lots of micromanagement and buff tracking but it's very fun

It depends on the type of healing you need, but this video was focused on highest throughput

In raid we can get JB to 2:00-2:15 but that’s with perfect windows, in M+ it ends up being closer to 2:30 or so
