Love this! Super simple. I'm working on mine now. Just so happens I had two cakes of this wonderful earthy variegated yarn that I'd been saving for the perfect pattern when I came across your video. Can't wait to wear it!
I hadn't crocheted in a very long time (since the'80s) but when my granddaughter came across a picture of a woman wearing a crocheted poncho, without thinking, I immediately said, "I can make you one of those" and she was thrilled! Well, I immediately Googled for poncho pictures/patterns but immediately realized I was in waaay over my head. Then switched over to RUclips, typed in "crocheted poncho" and, miraculously, your name and videos popped up almost immediately. I decided to make this poncho for my granddaughter because the only stitches I know (chain, single and double crochet) are the only ones used here so I thought, excellent project for me! I measured my granddaughter, shoulder to wrist and and am making rows accordingly. To make the neckline smaller for her, I will add a row of ribbing from one of your hat patterns in another video! The poncho is going so well, if I have time and extra yarn I'll make her the little hat with the ribbing to match! Thank you so much for your amazing, easy to follow patterns and techniques. You made me a hero in my granddaughter's eyes! 💖

I just made this poncho for my daughter, but I used Lion Brand Ferris Wheel in the color Cherry on top. It worked up quick and the yarn gives it a nice drape. She hasn't received it yet, but she was so excited when I showed her the picture of it. My 12 yr old modeled it with a goofy look on his face and pose to match. You know how boys are 🤣😂🤣
I like how this pattern is a good "jumping off point" for us to have fun. We can use your numbers, and then embellish if like. I'm thinking the fun you give us, knows no ends ... Quite frankly, I turn on your videos, and then crochet on one of my projects, and then wish my project was done so I could do what I'm watching. Ugh. lol Thanks for continuing to make these videos~!

I really like this poncho. The colors of the yarn worked up very nice. I would like to make the same but with the front open and a turn down collar. I am on my way over to your playlist and hoping I find something there that I am looking for. Okay as I am looking through the ponchos I realize open in the front would be a shawl. I will look through that playlist also. : ).

You know, I just realized that you have your playlists by type of item as well as having playlists for YARN WEIGHT!!!! Omg THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH!!! I always have the problem where I have yarn that I wanna use and I know what I want to do with it but I can’t find a tutorial that uses that type of yarn or that weight. Right now I have beautiful DK yarn and for the life of me I couldn’t find any ponchos… Until now so thank you thank you!

Why did you slip stitch into 2 stitches & chain one in round 2- to get to first first point(back) but not again in second (front) point?
