I stay out of recommending vehicles for people. I like to think of myself as an expert in showing people what the vehicles are all about so that they can make better decisions for themselves. I will say that the X-Line 2.5 litre turbo engine is exceptionally powerful, and is VERY fast. The 2.5 non turbo in the LX Premium isn't weak at all, it's likely fine for most people.
The upside to a wired Android Auto or Apple CarPlay connection is the sound quality is slightly better when you're playing back music, because you're not streaming via Bluetooth. Plus, it always tops up my phone's charge while I'm driving. My phone is too big to fit on my Stinger's wireless charging pad.
I think they balance costs on every trim. You can't have every feature on every trim at lower price points, so they need to choose which features to include, and which to save for higher trims.
I love the auto stop/start. I wish it would work more in my car. I seem to never meet the conditions required for it to stay on. Only after a long car drive will it work.
Yeah, it's not something that activates quickly. Sometimes adjusting your climate settings can make the difference. The fan speed can't be too high, that's one of the more simple variables that can be changed by the driver to activate it more often.
Yes. The USB ports that you see are there. On higher trims there can be a 110 volt outlet in the bottom of the centre console available for the middle row seats.
The Sorento comes with a 4 cylinder engine in these two models, and a 4 cylinder turbo engine in the higher trims. The 4 turbo is very powerful with 311 lb-ft of torque.
I believe that's still the case, but they don't mention that in any official documents. My assumption is that they don't want Stinger people finding that out. :)
@@BrantfordKia it doesn't bother me at all. In fact, that would be a plus in my book, because our next vehicle may be a Sorento. I just wish the base models came in Atomic Blue like my Stinger.
@@paulnieder4236 Yeah, I wish that we could get more colours on more trim levels, but to be fair, that's a customer-driven thing. People LOVE the brighter, or more exciting colours when the first see the cars, but we consistently sit with the more exciting colours compared to the white, grey and black colours. As a general rule, people buy those colours, even if they like the other ones. Thanks for commenting!
@@BrantfordKia question: Why is there a $200 charge for white, black or gray? (My wife was building a Sorento on the Kia website). Is there any colour that they don't have an upcharge for?
Hi Peter, would you recommend the lx premium or x-line? Is the 191 hp engine too weak?

Interesting. I guess I haven't paid attention to that. I'll have to listen better next time.
@@BrantfordKia It's a very slight difference.
I know with wireless headphones, for another example, they don't sound as good as wired headphones.
Both side of third row air vents removed, why?
I think they balance costs on every trim. You can't have every feature on every trim at lower price points, so they need to choose which features to include, and which to save for higher trims.
Well done! Can the third row seats be removed or opted put from factory?
No, they're standard in this vehicle. There's no option to remove them.

Is this vehicle available in all-wheel drive and if so what trim levels do we have to choose to get it?
All Sorento's in Canada come with AWD and with the multiple drive and terrain modes.
Are the three USB ports that are in the back standard on every trim level?
Yes. The USB ports that you see are there. On higher trims there can be a 110 volt outlet in the bottom of the centre console available for the middle row seats.
Do they have a six cylinder model?
Only 4 or 4 w/ Tubro .... Tellie gets the 6

Thank you for this information.
Is the 8-speed automatic transmission the same one that's in the Stinger?

Does it come with a sunroof
You can get a panoramic sunroof on the EX+ and above models.
Does the LX Premium has a remote starter ?
Yes, the LX Premium and above have that built right into the factory key fob.
Can we at powerliftget in lx premium?
The power liftgate isn't available on that trim, you would have to move up a couple of trim lines.
