Sick, such a useful stepping stone skill too. Once you master pink, it's time to move up to yellow. (For those confused, painting yellows over pink make the colour pop a lot better)
In the way colours interact, magenta (pink) + yellow = orange. It's how colour printing makes full-colour images from four colours of ink (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black).
More bright and weird colour schemes, yes! Your channel has inspired me to start painting 90s stuff from my childhood, so I've now got a river troll and a squig hopper on the way!
This is awesome. I need to graduate beyond contrasts or basecoat + dip methods and try proper shades and highlighting. This tutorial really shows those steps clearly, and I'm pretty psyched to try.
I've been painting five years and I don't often view hobby videos. I typically paint pink with a yellow basecoat but I recalled someone mentioning another color. I didn't get this in this video, but I did get a lot more. I appreciate how much you've made this an accessible tutorial and have lain things out very clearly. Thanks for your work!
Nice tutorial. I would love to see someone use this to make a sisters of Barbie army. Actually, now that I say it out loud I'm tempted to do it myself. "Sisters of Barbie Army" really rolls off the tongue and they would compliment the metallic pink necron kill team I'm piecing together. On a side note, I just want to say that I discovered your channel today and think it's superb. You are a thoroughly entertaining presenter who's passion for the hobby is infectious and really shines through. I look forward to seeing future content.
Love the video. Would love to see some more on different colours. As for suggestions of things to paint paink: Goblin balloon from moonstone; a kitbash conker snail or a pink ewok would be amazing.
White works just as well (if not better). I like to teach people over black because it's easier to see the consistency of my layers and paint consistency whilst base coating is one of the most important lessons to learn in miniature painting in my opinion
Recently painted a serephon warrior for model of the month in pink and green, was a unusual concept for me as I prefer a darker and grittier look for my models 😅 though it did stand out from the rest
This pink would look really cool on Emperors Children chaos marines in baroque armor, maybe with dark gold trim and glowing green eyes. They’ve been speculated to get their own faction this edition, so I’ll definitely be bookmarking this video.
I normally don't paint pink anything. But this is definitely something I'll stow away for future reference! If it were me, I'd lay down a base color that was germane to making the pink go on easier, or use a different color of primer. Good work, Miss Louise, and as usual, that sprightly smile and wave at the end of the video was just ADORABLE.
A discord full of forklift memes? As someone who works in the forklift industry, I am intrigued. Also, keep up the excellent content, I love the energy you bring to painting and hobbying!
This is perfect. I don't know if you remember but I met you briefly when I came across the pond to Warhammerfest while you were talking to Rob. I said how much I appreciated your style since pink is my favorite color. Thank you for releasing this to the public. Hope to join the Patreon soon. Thanks for all you do, stay amazing.
I’ve never painted pink and my nieces wanted some old school GW dwarves I have laying around with pink and rainbow armour colours! This’ll be great because I was wondering how to go about shading and highlighting such a vibrant bright pink.
I love this because my partner has a whole army of pastel pink space wolves. It was very challenging for me to paint so having a guide to learn some new things was great!
@@Dracobyte I'm not certain about the original Citadel version from the late 80s because I haven't been able to source a pot, but the Warcolours remake absolutely does.
I can’t find Warcolours Nostalgia 88 Titillating Pink anywhere. It’s sold out in all the online stores that had it in Canada, and Warcolours only sells N88 paints in “blind box” …
I painted a pink kill team for my 5 year old niece after she saw my 8yo Nephews Blood Angels and got jealous. My nephew was not impressed with my work 😂 my niece loves them though, 2 years later and she still keeps them in pristine condition and asks to play “Forny Kay” (a very simple version). I bought her 110~ color paint set and a couple of Gloomspitwe Gitz boxes (her choice) for xmas this year. She seems to love painting, and my dream is not to have to do it myself 😂
I've always wanted a good Pink Armor army, but never really had a good work-flow for it. And also starting new armies willy-nilly because I came up with a new paint scheme is dangerous to my wallet; I've resorted to smaller game systems where I don't need to just Keep Buying copies of the same stuff. Luckily, I believe there will be plenty of goblins for me to paint in the future.
Oh Friday just got even better. :) But why am I sudenly only wearing pink? I nead to get some self disciplinen and not let me get swayed like this by a RUclips blogger.. Oh, who am I kidding.. bring on more of this! :)
That comment about the first couple of layers looking wonky for light colors honestly makes me feel a lot better about my slowly in progress Lamenters. I did two layers over black and it was still looking like ass. Guess I just need to stick to it.
I always (usually) start on black for tutorials because most people have that colour kicking around and it's also the best colour for showing how to build up multiple thin layers with a good paint consistency which is one of the most important things to learn in mini painting (in my opinion) You can obviously pick whichever colour you like at home :)
Tempted to start a Barbies of Battle army for my daughter lol ... she's always shown interest when she see's me painting :D
Barbie has been everything else. She might as well career change into Gun Nun.
Go for it we need more people having fun in all aspects of the hobby cluster & its best to start them off young

I did not know that. Thank you for the tip!

Couldn't have come at a more perfect time, been struggling to get a good pink for my eldar
Awesome video. Thank you for having the recesses and different areas highlighted showing off the different paint effects. Keep up the good work.
This is awesome. I need to graduate beyond contrasts or basecoat + dip methods and try proper shades and highlighting. This tutorial really shows those steps clearly, and I'm pretty psyched to try.
Old school painting is great to chill with for a few hours. Chuck on a film or some music and go wild 😀
You’re the coolest. Thanks for sharing this!
that split screen moment is so cool! Love seeing your style side by side the clean finish.
This looks so fun :) I just started watching your channel, and I can't stop, huhu. You're style and content are awesome!
I was just about to paint my eldar pink! so hyped
Yay! Space BarbieMarines!☺
Barberines
Space Barbiens? 🤔
Spice Marines!

Brother Ken looking fantastic

A vibrant blue would be ace to see!
Great diagrams highlighting where to place those boundary shades and glinting edges!
Does this work best on a black primed mini or would white work just as well?
White works just as well (if not better). I like to teach people over black because it's easier to see the consistency of my layers and paint consistency whilst base coating is one of the most important lessons to learn in miniature painting in my opinion
@roguehobbies that makes a lot of sense, thank you!
Superb hand eye coordination, and a great paint job. Learning made fun!
Thanks again for another great tutorial 👍
Angel Delights of the Emperor and Tubby Custardes incoming 👍😅

Yay. Scottish Ork Lady with the content we don't deserve!
Time to break out the noise marines.
Wow Bud, I wish I had that kind of brush control. Excellent work by the way this was very helpful.
Just in time! Planned on making a Bright Pink and Black Battletech mech~
If I remember right, there is a mercenary unit led by a guy that pilots a pink panther :)
Which Mech?
That split screen turntable shot was a thing of beauty, just sayin..

Awesome color
Cool tutorial, but why did you start painting pink off with black? Wouldn't a white or light gray primer have started you off with easier base coats?
Thanks for base pink idea
I will definetly use It at my Tau army
Finally, a tutorial I can use for Necrons.
Yall talk about forklift driving? SOLD
Very titillating. Slaanesh approves.
Hey I recognise those minis from the Discord bit! Thank you!
This would work so well as armour for orks! Can't wait to give it a go 😁
Great stuff friend 👏 👍
Nice! Gonna use this method for my 4th ed Warhammer chaos warriors for skirmish games :)
Shes so polished.

Fun fact: Titillating Pink glows under UV light!

If we don't see a bunch of pink space marines for Darren Latham's classic marine painting challenge, I'll be bitterly disappointed.
Yes! Barbie time🎉
Well i needed this as i am painting a pink tyranids.
Fabulous mini 🥳

I may just have to repaint my Ultramagreens, well, if I can find a suitable pun.
Ultra Magentlemen 🤔😅

Have you considered a video where you deliberately make common mistakes, and then fix them?
very good video i can definitely see how i could incorparate it into my own painting

Have you tried pink primer from army painter?
I recently some Stormcast (from the new Underworlds set) and they all got some Hot Pink Cloaks :D
Doing my part to fuel the kenergy
That's great! Not a good color for my minis, but VERY useful for similar/lighter colors. Thanks! Love the outfit change. Bwahahaha!
Where can I buy the wall paint racks you have?
Soooo sad the squig didn’t win 😭😭😭. Squigs are so cool 🤩
This was 100 times better then the actual barbie movie lol
You've come a long way since being a zombie, Sugs! Keep being great!
I love Presentor!!!
Useful for any potential emperor's children launch in the future
Awesome!
Thanks
Well i wasn't PLANNING to paint my space marine army pink, but i suppose..........
I was wondering how you would paint the Crimson Hunter? It's a red but seems to have some purple in it. I am not totally sure though.
Got an idea for a converted noise marine army, need pink armour. BOOM!😅

Hm, why do you use black primer for bright color like pink? 🤔I would start with white, but maybe its just me..
Just in time for emperor children epic army! :D
I have no idea what I'll use this for, but I'll use it for something 😅
