Oldhammer thing i'd love to see you take on would be the original Snotling Pump wagon with the many, many random metal snotlings - especially the one giving the finger 😂
Thanks so much for making him look like Rincewind. It's perfect. Except of course that presented with a lightning-sub-machinegun Rincewind would off course drop it and run away anyway 😅 The Turtle Moves
One of the things I love about Oldhammer (especially Rogue Trader/40k) is how funny and satirical it was. It came from the same sort of place that Judge Dredd & 2000 AD did. There was Inquisitor Obiwan Sherlock Clousseau. A lot of the Imperium was making fun of Thatcher's Britain. Orks were based on football hooligans. That sort of thing. Gaming in the 80s was so much fun.
youve probably already contacted him since making this... but Bob Naismith is on the Gram. i was chatting with him over the weekend about the old and original metal Warlord Titans from Adeptus Titanicus that him and Jes scultped up back in the 80s which were shown in the Adeptus Titanicus rule book. super awesome guy! give him a buzz. hes still sculpting minis to this day :D
I love how fantasy inspired metal has extended now that there's so many niches... dwarf metal, pirate metal, musketeer metal, gnomish; we now have it all and then some!
I love it when people who have spent literal years and thousands of hours perfecting a skill say "And it was super easy!" Well, yeah, everything is easy once you already know the proper magic incantations :) In any case, Louise, that was a fun video, with fun history, mind-blowing watching you paint that scroll work, amazing to see how you revealed the tiny fiddly details hiding in that lump of lead, and you generally make the world a brighter place with your channel. That's so wonderful you have found your voice.
Showing a discworld cover has catapaulted you to my favorite warhammer channel. (I also loved your recent video on gunpla - I didn't jump in after seeing that video, but I thought about it)
Omg you painted him so well, the Rincewind cloak is incredibly well fitting! I really love it! And I really enjoy your little excourses on miniature history, you've quickly become one of my favourite hobby channels 🥰 For your question: I'd like t see you paint the two Orc models called "Brothers Grimm" in the 1988 Catalogue... or some of the many cool Goblin sculpts from the 1989 catalogue... hmmm on the other hand the old Fimir and Beastmen are also cool... just too much good stuff 🥲
I just love the nostalgia around Oldhammer as well as the goofyness of some of the miniatures. You've really done this one justice. Would love to see more rare minis if you are lucky enough to get your hands on them
I recently came back to Warhammer as my 2 sons have shown interest playing and this channel is so nice to bring back memories I started painting around 1985 and loved the variety of miniatures available back then from the weird and outlandish to the more serious. This gives me a serious nostalgia jab and whilst I understand that GW has to go with the most profitable IP I do feel that making a sculpt that is fun and quirky just for shist and giggles has been lost along the way. The memories of getting the Catalogues/White Dwarf in the post and excitement of paging through looking at all the cool new minis was like Christmas, placing orders with my meagre amount of money that went a lot further in those days, yes I am old! Then waiting 2 weeks for the delivery hearing that heavy thud through the letterbox of my latest bunch of lead! Happy days
Fantastic! I love the old sculpts with all their whimsey and personality (and I regularly kick myself for getting rid of several back in the day and I'm still hoping to one day manage to get my hands on the OG Nagash in all his grinning tall hat glory lol), and this video hit all my old school GW early days feels :D I have a third party 3d sculpt similar to this guy I'm going to crib from this video to work on, you gave me some really great ideas to make him pop.
As someone who predates the 80’s, ya gotta go back to the 70’s with bands like Uriah Heep and the album demons and Wizards, with The Wizard (and easy living ) blasting from the turntable
This was a really great video! Thank you so much for showing this miniature off, and painting them. I'm really glad one of your viewers sent him to you.
Some great choices on this figure! Love the energy crackle effect. I see you were using a Wowstick drill. I've found mine to be an incredibly useful tool. Great video!
I'd love to see you take on the Sisters of Twilight model with the little sprites crawling all over Ceithin-Har. Plus the general madness of large monsters that were partly made out of medal and the hours of agony that caused Oldhammer fans.
Was waiting at the end for him him to start singing I wish it could be Christmas every day 😂 you know with him looking like wizard 😂 excellent work from a fifer 😁
Is the face based on Tony Montana (Scarface, 1983); and so he might be squinting his right eye, while introducing people to his little friend? That robe is a lovely bit of painting; and the lightning effect is so cool (I got chills watching Louise drilling that gun barrel).
This looks absolutely Stunning! I might even say its Very ✨Wizard✨ As a Man who loves the designs of Wizards and Warhammer models. This one of my favorite models that I want and hope I can get one someday.
As you were painting it (but before you mentioned Rincewind, although definitely primed by Pratchett's mention), I thought, "Rincewind with a gat" and "Rincewind is no longer the coward with a thousand backs, but the killer with a thousand rounds"
I like it a lot. Probably the best painted example that I've seen. How about painting a 'C100 Imperial Marine'? Before Rogue Trader era but not too hard to get or too much💰! Just paint whatever one you like and can get, maybe. I always liked 'C100 Heavy Laser'.
I love how by saying rabbits sledding on a whole badger, there is a scenario in which they would be sledding on part of a badger. 😂😂 like they're money python and the holy grail style rabbits that rip other animals limb from limb 😅
This is excellent - really love the final result. Only downside is that every time I see a video talking about this model, I get Mystical Machine Gun by Kula Shaker stuck in my head for a few days. But I can’t really blame you for my weird brain doing that.
Well done! As a suggested project you could track down the Black Library diorama for Gotrek and Felix (with Ulrika, Max and Snorri). That could actually be a super rare composition!
Your welcome glad he's come in useful. I'd never do him justice myself 😁

“You have my sword”
“And my bow”
“And my gat!”
It's dark magician with a gat!
Wizard with sub-machinegun!
LORE OF METAL!
Aka Gandalf with tha Gat

I can hear him manically screaming "lightning bolt! lightning bolt! lightning bolt!" zapping people around😂
Thanks so much for making him look like Rincewind. It's perfect. Except of course that presented with a lightning-sub-machinegun Rincewind would off course drop it and run away anyway 😅

I was going to say exactly this
How do I make this 1980s gem seem like a modern sculpt? [Adds tactical rock.] Nailed it.... ❤

"Whimsical Sleeper Agent" would be an amazing dungeon-synth band name
SMG Wiz- I'm going to cast Gunbeam!
DM- Wait, did you mean Sunbeam?
SMG Wiz- I think you heard me the first time......
That Nagash model is beautiful and I won’t hear any different!
I want to see your take on the old Bloodbowl orc cheerleader. Thanks for brightening the year, have a great holiday!
Nailed it! And drilled it! And stuck wire in it!
That part admittedly made me VERY nervous 🤣
I love that wizard! I’d like to see you paint Zygor or that special beastman I know you have because you showed me at BOYL last year.
The "special" beastman 👀👀👀
@ you know the one. 😁😁😁
Now there's a backstory that needs investigating...enquiring minds need to know. Lol, great model, even greater paint job.
This is straight up amazin!!!! Thanks foe rockin as ya please!! 💯

A humble request for one of Oldhammer’s most iconic evil characters! Thanquol and Boneripper!!!
Thank you SO MUCH for your quirky, off-beat, chaotic energy. Your videos never fail to make my day better. Have a fantastic Christmas!
the lightning gun looks SO FRIGGIN COOL!
Showing a discworld cover has catapaulted you to my favorite warhammer channel. (I also loved your recent video on gunpla - I didn't jump in after seeing that video, but I thought about it)
Oldhammer yay! Surely one of those outlandish Old Empire Marauder Miniatures would be worthy of your attention. Maybe one of the foppish ogres?
The brings back memories. The OG Wizard with a Machine Gun. Have you done any old timey Genestealers yet? They had some great oldhammer models!
Omg you painted him so well, the Rincewind cloak is incredibly well fitting! I really love it!
And I really enjoy your little excourses on miniature history, you've quickly become one of my favourite hobby channels 🥰

That easy (to choose, not to get): Old Genestealer Patriarch- fat one, sitting on a throne. Chunky leader that we deserve.
Ohmygoodness, that lightning!!! And I love the overgrown cobblestones! So good!!!
As someone who predates the 80’s, ya gotta go back to the 70’s with bands like Uriah Heep and the album demons and Wizards, with The Wizard (and easy living ) blasting from the turntable
Brilliant! We need more miniatures like these ones. Totally agree that the silly stuff they did in the early days were about the best!
Now that dude looks very cool. The magic lightning works wonders!🔥🔥🔥
This was a really great video! Thank you so much for showing this miniature off, and painting them. I'm really glad one of your viewers sent him to you.
I’m so glad you had so much fun with this beautiful project 🤯🥰🫶🏽💓🫶🏽💜

I see you were using a Wowstick drill. I've found mine to be an incredibly useful tool.
Great video!
Gorgeous, awesome paint job. Kudos!
So talented! Thank you for sharing your ideas and showing us how you make them a reality, Louise!
Such a cool paint job, and I really dig the lightning effects. Well done!
That is sooooooooo coooooool! I love the finished result! The lightning firing is so good XD
I'd love to see you take on the Sisters of Twilight model with the little sprites crawling all over Ceithin-Har. Plus the general madness of large monsters that were partly made out of medal and the hours of agony that caused Oldhammer fans.
Amazing job and full of creativity! I love you and your channel so much! Thank you for your contagious excitement and entertainment in every post!
Slambo the Chaos Warrior!
Your paint job of WIZARD WITH A GUN has to be one of my favorites you have done. Bravo!
This really made me smile so many happy things in this video.
I love the bright pallet you use. Even the Grimdark comes out with amazing contrasts. Rincewind with an SMG is fantastic.
Shoutout to Manowar was not on my bingo card, but I'm here for it \m/
Nice work! Thanks for the mini(no pun intended)-history lesson as well. Stay rare and weird, like 80s GW minis!
Was waiting at the end for him him to start singing I wish it could be Christmas every day 😂 you know with him looking like wizard 😂 excellent work from a fifer 😁
Ha! Listening to the old Pratchett audiobooks is my pre Christmas tradition. If I get it just right, I'm listening to Hogfather on Christmas.
I love that they kept the LE2 reference in the current lore from all those years ago, what a beautiful miniature you have!
The gun beams looping/connecting to each other is a top notch detail
Have a great Christmas Louise, you've been brilliant all year😊
You left out Ralph Bakshi’s classic movie Wizards. It is magical creatures vs disfigured mutants with WWII weapons.
I managed to at least squeeze it into the into 🤣
@@roguehobbies I must have missed it, then.
Back in the 80s it was such a fringe thing. The vast majority of people had no idea.
Great vid! I dunno about Oldhammer, but I'd love to see you design some 80s-inspired minis!! Be the Heavy Metal you want to see in the world!
Nice Nekrogoblikon refence there :D
With his name being LE-07, I'd say name him Leo Sven, like when Horus Heresy introduced Leetu the first space marine.
Talks about weird old models and opens with the classic Bobo the space clown. I approve.
obviously you need austritch man on horse horse, would be a blast!
Greetings from Germany btw...
I think you did him right. He especially deserves the tactical rock. bravo!
I love that it's now Rincewind with a machine gun ❤ just need the word "wizzard" written on his hat 😂
I'm so grateful to have grown up on the 70s and 80s, and getting to be a part of this stuff first time around.
You've got some real talent there!
Aw thanks friend!
Went through three different eras of hand hearts there, love it.
I'm absolutely not into miniatures but that's very very cool .
sensational - perhaps by favourite Rouge Hobbies video ever.
Is the face based on Tony Montana (Scarface, 1983); and so he might be squinting his right eye, while introducing people to his little friend?
That robe is a lovely bit of painting; and the lightning effect is so cool (I got chills watching Louise drilling that gun barrel).
Bingo!
I love the flowers on his base. It really makes me want to see you paint an Aekold Helbrass model :D
This looks absolutely Stunning!
I might even say its Very ✨Wizard✨
As a Man who loves the designs of Wizards and Warhammer models.
This one of my favorite models that I want and hope I can get one someday.
My daughter loves the paint job, especially the camo and what she calls the ‘silly string’ from the machine gun 😂
As Sir Terry would have said, you must have been struck by one of those particles of raw inspiration that sleet through the galaxy all the time.
Merry Christmas
you are painting in such a magical and beautiful style! :D
As you were painting it (but before you mentioned Rincewind, although definitely primed by Pratchett's mention), I thought, "Rincewind with a gat" and "Rincewind is no longer the coward with a thousand backs, but the killer with a thousand rounds"
Those 3 black and white pictures of those terminaters you showed I have all 3 :)
That is such a fun mini, and a stellar paintjob. Awesome!
I like it a lot. Probably the best painted example that I've seen. How about painting a 'C100 Imperial Marine'? Before Rogue Trader era but not too hard to get or too much💰! Just paint whatever one you like and can get, maybe. I always liked 'C100 Heavy Laser'.
Very cool! Love the Avatar (Wizards) vibe. Absolutely gorgeous work!
The only way this miniature could have been cooler is by making him Rincewind. Amazing work. He looks fantastic! GNU pTerry.
I love how by saying rabbits sledding on a whole badger, there is a scenario in which they would be sledding on part of a badger. 😂😂 like they're money python and the holy grail style rabbits that rip other animals limb from limb 😅
Cool you got your own line of miniatures. They look adorable! Might get one for fams
I knew that this wizard with a sub machine gun needed a gimmick.... 😂
Did you paint his butt with any wizards butt from Pro Acryl? important questions we need the answers too! Sigh have to wait to find out!
NO GOD DAMN IT now i have to repaint him XD
@@roguehobbies or get another wizard for a wizard duel!

Surprised you resisted calling the wee lad Inquisitor Wjiinswand 😆
Magical machine guns! Yeay! Love rogue Hobbies.. Merry Christmas!
That loooks sooo cool honestly so impressive really inspiring and your passion always comes across stayed up late to watch this video 😂
Fantastic video, as always!
Glad you enjoyed it ☺️☺️☺️
Fantastic! Merry Christmas to you! 🎄
Ooh Space Santa is rare? A lovely fellow gifted me him many years ago when I was leaving GW. Still in my parent’s house somewhere!
End result looks amazing. The camo is a nice touch. I dont think it clashes too much.
The very first thing I thought of was "He looks like Rincewind"
Do a Palanquin of Nurgle! Lovely sculpt with all the little nurgling bearers.
He is amazing. Of course, a wizard with a gun + his droopy hat screams Rincewind.
I got your pro acryl set from my DND group for Christmas this year and I am excited to use them!!
They're so much fun I hope you enjoy them!!
Well done!
