I visited Kyrgyzstan June 2019 for my friend's wedding and then stayed for 2 weeks trip across country. It was an unforgetable experience to visit such beautiful and pure country. I will always remember this trip, people, nature. Great that you are showing people there are such places - unexplored, pure and breathtaking.

I totally get Ilimzhat's point about Europeans. There's an atmosphere of clinical complacency and uniformity that feels sterile, bland and depressing. His hometown pride really resonates with me, I live in a tiny Greek province and am the happiest I can be. I'd love to visit Kyrgyzstan one day.

Yes I also had ashlyan-fu but in Bishkek but it was delicious! Really nice mix of spicy and sour! And yeah, I think the way they feel about time is one of the reasons why people seem happier there. Not as much stress, not "just working" as that guy was saying about Europe. Which is not just Europe but I feel the industrialized rich countries in general. Lot of people who are travelling to lots of countries say people often look happier in other countries than they do in the richest countries. I'm European and well not all countries in Europe are the same but I feel I know what he's talking about there.
I wish many western people come and live sometime in not that industrial places like Kyrgyzstan or Kazakhstan, and learn to be more natural and less materialistic. And same our people visit West countries to learn many good things too. So works will be better
Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Mongolia have the most amazing landscapes in the entire world, I wish I can go some day, to the beautyfull Central Asia, exellent videos by the way, and thanks for showing us the beauty of Kyrgyzstan
@@veramiedzinalietuviskas8859 Well that depends on the people, place and culture. In Latin America, and even parts of the US, people love the Spanish language and much of Spanish culture. In the Balkans, they reject Turkish language and culture, though they like to have vacations in Turkey.

I used to live nearby Karakol. That is definitely a fabulous place to visit for a tourist but not live there. The locals make ends meet because there is no job. They mostly do agriculture and cattle breeding for a living. With regards to Ashlyanfoo, don't eat it too much at a time because you can get a sore-throat - just a friendly advice, nothing more. :)

Cannot express how much I love your videos. I love that when you go into a small cafe place everyone is interested in you and starts talking to you. Can you imagine if a foreigner went into a small cafe in the US or UK, people wouldn’t be nearly so forthcoming. I get that it was unusual where you were but still.
Believe it or not this is a place i would rather visit, live, work in more than many places ive seen. Just the fact that people are smiling naturally is enough. Throw in the mountain back drop then it steels your heart
And it is also a name...Kyrgyz name, Chubak 🙂 ....it's not a popular name though..but still few people name their kids Chubak... we have two men named Chubak....one composer id , Chubak Sataev, and another man Chubak is like a very well known imam in Kyrgyzstan..
I have been living in Usa for 12 yrs and every time I go back to Kyrgyzstan, I see people are happier than Usa eventhough the economy is collapsed. In Usa people are depressed. If u loose your job in usa you are homeless the next day.
Oh my, I'm so impressed to watch the video which recorded by American person. It's nice to realize that someone visit these kind of places like KaraKol but what I wanted to tell, you should to visit more wild places for example the mountains, woods, rivers etc. There's so few people who'll manage to talk with you in English fluently so don't waste time. Thanks for sharing these beautiful landscapes and introducing this hidden heaven to us. I hope I can visit there soon. Although I felt a bit lonely when I imagined myself as a solo traveler there.
I've been there, it's really beautiful and the people are very nice. Though you must be proficient in Russian or Kyrgyz because most people don't speak English. The mountains are gorgeous, you must go and hire a guide and spend time there basically as much as possible. It's just as beautiful as the Alps but there are almost no tourists and only a handful of huts. It means that you must carry more stuff like a tent and food with you but it's much more secluded.
