I love the way you presented this vlog!! It was neat how you presented the media coverage and some of the harsh realities of Yemen, and then slowly revealed what makes it special and made it seem so beautiful!! The local kids were so fun and playful!!! I love how you got so many locals to explain their lifestyles and culture. They seem so confident and their English is great! Beautiful vlog!!!
Thank you so much girls!! Hope you're doing well in your new chapter in Florida and we can see more of it soon! 🫶

True statement "Strength , Resilience and Hope". Thanks for showing another world .
Thanks honey
Wonderful to watch this video. YES, such hope and resilience. When the name "Yemen" is mentioned on our TV screens, it is always in the context of war, famine, disease, misery. So it is uplifting to see another side of this ancient and fascinating place.
Glad you liked it!
It's a nation that has many Islamic terrorists.
That's great that all is well in Yemen. So the west can stop aid money!
@@Kevin-Schmevin like in most muslim countries men rule the streets and women rule the homes. So men are outside and women are inside most of the time. Its the same in India for example but less. Its the eastern way of "gender equality".
That's because the reality there for most of the backward, repressed, 11th century islamic society is just that context. War, because they can't get along internally, famine, (do you see rain?), disease (the gov. pours money in military and itself), misery, because it is a miserable place to live for most people.
I am really happy when I see someone talk abt my country , thx
How about you start doing some actual work? Instead of play football and watch videos about your country on RUclips? Maybe help your country to be better..

What an amazing place and people 🙏🏼 🇾🇪
Are women welcome as tourists? Where are the women in this video? Are they only allowed to stay at home?
It is just that our tradition sometimes are quite strict when it comes to photograph women. In addition to that, most of the places Mr.Salvino visited were for visitors and mainly for men but if he visited local markets, shopping areas, or schools the majority of the people he will encounter will be women. yes shame they buy weapons instead of using money on the people.
Is that why they wage war
Is that why they kill their daughters and homosexual sons in honor killings?

Yes. They are very welcoming. There are in fact so welcoming that you can't move around without a hired security detachment.
Thank you for the video. I come from Poland and our knowledge of Yemen is very poor. Yet, it seems to be a country with rich and exciting culture and history. I would love to visit Yemen in times of peace, which I hope, will finally be reached.
Yeah, if it's so great why don't you go to live there?
@@paulietv2162 You can read? Can't you?
Much like Poland, it once had a thriving Jewish community that was persecuted and exiled. The Jews of Yemen are says to be the most authentic to ancient Judean practice and customs and they strongly preserve Yemenite Judaism. Jewish exiles of Yemen are the most accessible Yemenites. Though there are no Jews there, it is the most antisemitic society on earth. The less functional a country the more antisemitic.

After watching this, I feel even more blessed for the freedoms and opportunities I have..
That was stunning, that was so well done, I am never cease to amaze when we put a face on those whom we are at odds with or vilifying, it shows me the solution is finding a common way to understand our differences and still find ways to live together.

Here is the weird thing: in the U.S., we hardly let our kids play in the streets anymore without supervision. Why? Because it's not safe.
But here are Yemeni kids playing in their neighborhoods.
Here is a question for everyone:
While Yemen is politically unstable, does it suffer from less crime than America? I am not referring to political crime - I am referring to everyday crimes, such as random mass shooting, that are ravaging America. Does that happen in Yemen?
No

One thing you're failing to point out is that only males are outside. That says everything about how unsafe it is. If women and girls are confined to their homes due to fear and 'cultural norms' there is something seriously wrong with the culture.
The vast majority of people in the world just want to live their lives and are happy to meet and get to know visitors. It's the few who seek power over others that mess things up.
Don’t forget the ones starting conflict and promoting conflict with funding and weapons causing carnage live far away

First time visiting your channel. Love your story telling, contact with the people and landscapes, and the way of your editing. You showed us a small piece of a country that is largely shrouded in mystery in the West, where the only impressions we get are of a nation in perpetual conflict and suffering. Thank you for this fantastic piece of travel journalism, Ale! As a Polish person living in Ecuador for a decade now I can tell you that the three qualities of the Yemenites you listed are exactly the same as those of the Ecuadorian people. Interestingly enough, two of them: strength and resilience are also strong attributes of my people but the third one would be "the never ending capacity to complain" in case of Poles... I wish we knew how to be grateful for what we have the way people from less developed countries are!
