Great job my friend. You inspired me and I painted by Jet Ski in the same manner. Just wondering how long before I can throw it in salt water after the paint job and clearcoat?
Seems like you do a bit of paint work, in my opinion enough to make a proper spray gun worth while, not sure if you have a compressor? Save you time with higher quality result
No man I don’t have a compressor yet planning on buying one soon and re-spraying her a different color sometime in the future. For now I’m happy and let’s see how long she lasts I’m going to make an update video in a few months.
You should of put carbon fiber reed valves before assembly? Might as well the motor is apart. Do away with your Oil Injection system Mixing Gas And Hauling Ass. MIX THAT SHIT BRO..
I am planning on upgrading the reeds, I don’t mind taking the front end apart again, definitely would like to bypass the oil injection system just haven’t found the best way to do it.
The oil "injection on the 3 liter Merc outboard motors are super reliable and unless you're turning massive rpm's there is absolutely no need to eliminate it. *2.0, 2.4 and 2.5 motors have a very unreliable oil injection (auto premix system really) because of the large, narrow gear on the crank. They should ALWAYS be removed and pre-mixed..
Bro...my pointer finger is killing me just watching this. Two things you gotta do...#1 get a real spray gun and #2 sell that thing and get a boat with a big block chevy. Outboards are for snowflakes.
Outboards are completely taking over. Larger boat design, 30 to 60 footers are even being configured specifically for them. Why? HUGE advantages. Weight, space, performance, cost, maintenance. And 20 footers like this with the same ponies with an outboard will smoke I/O's. Sure you can put up monster numbers with an inboard but....weight and weight distribution.
I'll take a lightweight, go-fast outboard powered performance boat over a car motor boat ANY day and EVERY day, Period!! Worst case just bolt a new powerhead or outboard on if catastrophic damage ever happens.. My boats have SMOKED every single car motor boat I have ever come up against! And for a tenth of the cost too!!
@@boatvibes I have been but I have been busy as hell lately. I did watch your videos I believe I'm up to date on them you've got some good content, love your channel bro.🤙

@@boatvibes U'll be lucky to get 2 months out of it. Keep it garaged and you can stretch that
The sides and most of the top cab has been a year since I first sprayed it, I’ll make a update video in 6months 🤙🏽
Would that clear coat last in salt water
Yes it has head up well. I'm going to do a update video soon
What primer did you use?
On this boat rust oleum spray cans from Walmart

I know of a couple of 17 18 foot outboard boats that reach up into the low hundred-mile-an-hour range. Your boat ain't doing that.
Damm Daffy long time no comment 🤣 I was starting to think you stop being a fan of my channel. Have you seen my new videos? Go comment what you think 🤓
