“Dont put the board to your feet, put your feet to the board!” Sometimes we fail to realize the things we say might make zero sense to others even though they make sense in our head. Used to constantly be guilty of this as a tutor, thinking I was explaining clearly and simply but failed to realize without already knowing certain things the student would have no clue what was being discussed. Never assume they already know what you think they should know. For physical instruction like skating or sports, its often easier to have a visual demonstration as well as hands on practice. For verbal instructions however, its best to explain things in a way a small child could understand, but also an adult as well. Not too simple, not too advanced.
@@PsychotropicThunderLove it. I used to skate when I was younger, and would always fumble until I was given those types of simple lessons. Small bite-sized tips that you keep saying to yourself to remind you of how to properly do it. Used to hear instructors say "Little tips move you forward to bigger tricks". And it definitely is true. Keep rockin' man. Hope all the best for you and yours.
@@PsychotropicThunderI have to agree, people have different experiences and different perspectives, the things you see will not always be the same to others that is why I never tried to teach someone since it's hard to explain something that they can't understand even though it looks simple.
@@PsychotropicThunderBro the shit is simple. He said put your feet to the board it means she has to keep hand stable and feet moving because she is keeping her feet straight and putting the aboard to the feet
I think it has to do with smart phones starting around 08'. Everyone suddenly had a way to rapidly share their clips and progression to an endless ever-growing cloud of greater progression.
Damn, i wish I could have had a coach like this when I was learning back in 9th grade. Took me so long to grasp the basics through trial and error. This generation is really blessed
The different is if you're trying to put the board under your feet, its way harder, and if you're trying to put your feet into the board its way easier because the board is stable on your hand and your feet just need to step on it
Lol he is an amazing teacher but the death stare he gives the little kids after he makes a point cracks me up. He does it every time. He gives the stare into the soul then gets closer and closer to them.
that kids kick flip indy had great form though. I love how he kicked his front foot out too. I'm sure after your tip he got it in a few tries. he prob would have committed to it on that try but I think he seen he was going to land too low.
To me it kind of looked was he was trying to put he feet to the board but just wasn’t committing. I could be wrong though and it was a great tip for the trick either way.
Everytime i see your video... my 35 yo overweight ass think he can easily do that. Your dangerous men (joke aside your amazing! Keep teaching your a special one my friend!)
@Skateiq (Mitchi): I want 2 buy some new Knee pads. Can U tell me what kind of 187 Killer pads you are whering? Do where the 187 Killer Pro Knee pads or the 187 Killer Derby Knee pads and no matter which one you wqer, have U tried both 2 tell the difference? From what I have found out so far: 187 Killer Pro knee pads provide more protection but less freedom to move espacialy bend your knees. Have you tested both and if yes can you give me your opinion?
Search his vids. Think I've seen him do one on it already. Or just go for it. Start on a mini and work ya way up. It's not as hard or as scary as it looks. The hardest part is the mental commitment. You'll be rippin kickflip indy's in no time mate. 👍🙂
Fantastic instructions dude. Tell them the difference, then show them, so they have a visual reference. Keep kicking ass bro.

The best teacher I’ve seen, showing w explanation then demonstration of both what works and doesn’t, all while keeping it simple.
Consider making a textbook tutorial on a trick by trick level. The things you say are so detailed and spot on, it’s incredible.
Right?! He blows my mind every time. Been skating 25 years and he makes me rethink tricks all the time!
I think he has a course on Patreon
The instruction videos from this man always bring me joy. Pure wholesome content
So satisfying ❤
Man you make every trick seem so simple and seamless, even though they aren’t and take great skill and dedication to master. You’re so damn good.
Damn, i wish I could have had a coach like this when I was learning back in 9th grade. Took me so long to grasp the basics through trial and error.
This generation is really blessed
The fact Mitchy can demonstrate how to "stack it safely" is incredible! 😎👌🏽
Everytime this dude comes up on my yt shorts, instant like
same boat, instant like
is no one gonna talk about how smooth that Knee slide was?
He could have landed the bad example but still bailed on purpose to enforce the good one. Great Teacher. 💯
bro just wanted an excuse to snake him😂
Amazing instructions bro!
Bro is the next kakashi sensei

I wish I could get the chance to learn in person with you man, you do such an amazing job!
dude love your vids
I can't see any difference
Watch it again
Watch again and think of it like this-
step in the side of the board vs step on it...
Then your are different
@@Licht_Law69 you didn't get it either

This is perhaps my first video of yours I’ve watched, but wow. Your teaching is amazing!!!
Seeing you guys fly like that makes my knee feels ticklish😄

This is truly stunning!
You know he is the shit when he teach you in mid air..
Great example of, Practically learning is better than theoretically learning. ❤❤

Great coach🔥❤️
Madness board goes so hard
Lil bro insane for trying 🗣🔥🗣🔥🗣
We all know he forced the bail on that second one but he had to prove the point. Such a bro! Great example for the community

I only know one guy who drops it and sometimes it goes like this. Bro got roasted
Best practices teacher. Awesome.
The kid has the tony hawk pro skater level xF
I don't even use skateboard, but still like to learn thing if someone coaches like that
Hes a great instructor
I used to do it flatground but I haven’t tried it for 2 years

Ngl, the 1st ninja kick would've been the most stylish if landed. I think Arto Saari enlightened me to style in the Sorry! video.
I couldn't even learn a kick flip in 2 years 😅
This guy is sick.
awesome that he can just physically do what he is teaching. kinda rare lmao
Imagine having Mitchie Brusco as your teacher, thats like being thought to drive by Lewis Hamilton 😅 what a great guy
*taught 👈 +👆 🤓

Can I hire this guy for a week?
Cameraman is clean af make it more clean
I love the work you do but hate it not seeing the kids landing them after.
I don't know what it is about the camera or lighting but it looks so much like a game to me
were all in a simulation 😂
I woudl break my ankles jsut when falling because i wouldnt have time to bend my knees 😂😅
The one technique that solved all of my tricks was to keep your knees apart.
1st i though its a high graphic game 😂
I play skateboard too
Blessings 🙌
Remember Skate Barn in Renton?
Good teaching
Me not looking at the tricks and trying to focus on the teachers shoes👀
I see the difference too!!
