It was a tight contest, but in the end it was all Rayssa Leal as the Brazilian skater took top spot at the first leg of the Olympic Qualifier Series in Shanghai. Make sure to stay tuned for the second stop of the series in Budapest from June 20th - 23rd!

She rides the goat's board! She is on Monarch, that is an Almost deck. Almost is Rodney Mullen. He's the goat of sports, no one else invented 8/10 tricks in their sport and won every contest for 11 years in a row in any sport. Lol. Not to mention, they didn't change the shape of the deck to make it easier to do tricks. the popsicle shape is all him.

The other girls where just on fire and Rayssa has just been on another level as of late, both Chloe and Momiji who have been solid all year are now having trouble , if Momiji does not do well next qualifying round she will be eliminated from the Olympics because they only take the top 3 skaters from each country. Pressure builds as the Olympics gets closer. Chloe is a couple years younger then most the other skaters with exception of Coco so her nerves are most likely getting to her. She just needs to relax and go out there and have fun.

What announcer? You mean the commentators? And what did they do wrong? I don't see any mistake.
Lmao this is how they have their names listed for Japanese riders, I'm guessing you didn't know that and assumed they haven't been watching and commentating on these girls for years 😂
on the brazilian transmission the narrator also make this mistake to call the japan skaters from the surname name just because the caracteres.
But the thing is, you say the surname first when speaking Japanese so they’re accidentally more correct than you.
@@davidmil15 not at all, if you search here and in other officials channels about skate, like sls, you can see that they put the first name almost all time. i never seen them call ou text "horigome yuto", it's always with girls because have names less famous.

Her last tricks while expressive were not as well executed as Rayssa's and I am a Liz Akama fan , and actually think team japan are the favorites in this year's Olympics, however Rayssa has just been really solid lately.
