Form of Therapy just wondering what you thought about their live performance at the BBMAs. I saw footage of you in the floor pit cheering them on when they won the award.
To be quite honest I like the rock sound better for this song. I’m a fan of rock and to see my fav Kpop group do rock remixes it just felt like a perfect little crossover of everything I love.
Yesss, same here. I was a fan of alternative punk rock before becoming an army, so this was like a dream come true. I thought the remix with RM and FOB was the closest we would get to anything rock. But then we got this version, and the recent spring day remix. I'm just so happy :')
i really liked this version more i felt so nostalgic bc rock was my main genre before getting into kpop and getting exposed to a plethora of new genres. hearing this kind of song in kpop, esp by my fave group, really just made me so happy and gave the song an even more powerful emotional impact imo ❤️
I feel like this version was the demo mix but they just polished it a bit, you can tell by the transitions between verse and chorus being a bit abrupt. I actually like this version more than the OG though haha.
I prefer this version. Only BTS could make a perfect song even more perfect. Or maybe it's just because rock is my #1 favourite genre. Adding the acoustic and electric guitar, the bass and the drums is just so smart and it sounds SOO goooooood
I feel like I would like this version way more if I didn't know the original. The original instrumental obviously fits better, especially to the dance (some moves that are timed on the beat look weird now) but I do like the rock version too, especially since I'm a sucker for acoustics. The giant dropping brick in the end is really awkward tbh, I can't take it seriously at all hahaha
Right I didn’t want to say anything but it’s just way too awkward haha. I think Band PD knew what he was doing when he released the songs. They cut a lot of things that didn’t really need to be there.
Honestly I think because of the colour of the brick and the fact it’s near sand/ in the desert it looks more like a large haystack that they dropped on them by comic accident 😂
Having been raised on rock n roll, I was THRILLED to hear this version! I’m waiting for the right moment to play it for my rock n roll drummer husband, who has poo pooed my love for BTS because they are a “boy band.” 🤨 So I guess I’m saying I like this version more, and I wish it was on the album I preordered! I had the same reaction as you to the new end scene: “weird.” And honestly thought the door crashing down at the end was a little hokey. But on rewatching, I think I like it because it rounds out the whole story line. And I agree with you about the scenes with JHope and RM, that they add vital pieces to the story as well. BTW I really appreciate your honest reactions! It is refreshing to watch a channel that doesn’t give fake love (hehe) for views. 😊
I loved how 5:34 there were a massive amount of water dropping, and then a explosion of fire, but the thing that PD get impressed and say "Wow, that was cool" is just J-Hope getting eaten by all those snickers bars lmfao
At 3:48 when the shot is going from Jungkook down to Taehyung you can here a slight “duuuuu” sound as if its like and elevator or some sort of thing actually moving down. Idk if that makes since but listen to it with headphones!
PD: “Breaking Benjamin” My Brain: “If I had to I would put myself right beside you. So let me ask you, Would you like that? Would you like that? And I don’t mind if you say this love is the last time. So now I’ll ask, Do you like that? Do you like that? No. Something’s getting in the way. Somethings just about to break. I will try to find my place in the diary of Jane...”
“I get ready for a big drop and I fall for it every time.” The big drop comes at the very end making it a true rock version in every sense of the word. 😜
Now I have seen this music video like a million times. How am I just realizing the rooms they’re in line up with the rooms from freaking Wings?! I mean I know there’s a story here but I was struggling to see how fake love fit into that. Isn’t the room Jin is in from Epiphany? Aaaaah the theories are gonna keep me up all night!
i like nj and yoongis parts that are more minimalistic, the drums are so slow and the drum rolls especially, i feel like i expect way more. the guitar riff is fine but its really simple, its just like the same 3 chords over and over again. whoever does the rock remixes, i enjoy them but they really could do with someone more experienced in mixing rock music. i really like rock and guitar, and hearing it in this song made me miss it, but regardless of bias i still felt the remix needed more
I loved this version. I wish this was the OG video and mix but I guess I can understand why it wasn't. Yeah I love rock and when I heard the mix I was thrilled, it sounds beautiful, and with Spring Day having its own rock remix I am living for pop-rock BTS, more of that please. About the video I appreciated the extended Suga, J-Hope and RM scenes, specially J-Hope's, that scene when he bites the candy and falls has so much impact it's amazing, and the drowning was hauntingly beautiful. Overall I loved it, can stop repeating myself that I want more of that from them.
I remember when the teaser photos came out, some people predicted that it would be a rock comeback. I was kind of excited for that, so this is really cool. Before Kpop, I listened to a lot of rock and alternative so it’s interesting to see this little ‘mashup’ of the two genres
As always, really enjoyed your reaction. In regard to the actual music, although I did like it I prefer the original. To me it felt like they were trying to fuse a specific style even if it didn't fit well with the original song. J-Hope's scenes were v interesting and I'm glad that we got this extended version to understand all the storylines a little better. Good luck with the merch sales, PD.
this is in fact a different version youre right and for your first reaction to the mv youre also correct it is related in a way to i nned u because of the story line that goes through some of their videos and webtoon and the notes book its very deep and detailed and amazing really
The falling floor was also practical, the split floors from Jungkook to Taehyung is a common effect in recent BTS MVs. I'm looking forward to how the next LY album will answer questions, if they do a direct continuation.
I got to tell you, your videos are the only ones that I watch 'til the end, because your comments are so on point... I love both versions and I think the same of the scenes that weren't in the original we're pretty dope... Sending love from Colombia (Sorry for my sh**ty english LOL)
I enjoyed the extended version because it's more significance on the struggles of realities of self love ❤️.. The new music arrangement intensifies the struggles.. Indicating still hiding behind a mask, which closed you out from finding true love.. Loved your reactions..
The ending means they are letting the part of them go from their insecurities, fears, depression, pain and to start accepting and loving yourself. That is how I took it.
I love your reviews :) you always comment interesting things and in a proffesional way ^^ I loved the video and, as an emo/rock fan (especially of MCR), I really appreciate the rock vibe this song has. Plus, it is very emotional, sad, as you said, visceral. I kinda wish this would've been the original song, since it has a different sound and it would have been amazing, but maybe they do it again in the future
I loved it and agree that it made it more emotionally impactful and I love the added scenes, although I'm hella confused. I agree that their voices stand out more in the original. They're both incredible.
I had heard from someone that the person in the scene with the carnival objects and snicker bars was actually left at a fair with only a snicker bar and then abandoned by his mother when he was younger
As much I do like Dreamcatcher also, this type of concept music isn't anything new. This is simply K-rock (a bit rock pop/anime ost, has some J-rock undertones.) So yeah, shout out to them but just know they didn't "start" this trend lmao
This is a rock mix versions that’s why the instrumentals are more louder and prominent. I feel like with these lyrics and rock genre in general it fits the darker vibe that this mv originally should’ve been ?. They also released a rock mix version of spring day which is even more emotional than the original if that’s even possible
I would love this video better without the choreography, just full storyline like they did with RUN and I NEED U. It's just that the dancing is obviously made for the original version so it looks kinda off to me in this version.
I preffered this version to the original. I just love how pretty and powerful the variety of guitars sound. It completely transformed the vibe of the song making it so much more tragic, especially by adding the softer acoustic guitar to the rap and pairing the hardcore electric guitars with the vocals.
I wish Day6 and The Rose N. Flying (and Seventeen) would do more Rock music like this. I prefer the hard instrumentals. I love Drug Restaurants Mistake cause its like that. Take me back to those days of hard guitar solos and harsh drums moving your soul.
It's weird.. One would think that as a metalhead I'd like this version better, but I almost feel like the guitars are a bit distracting at points? They kinda overlap the vocals in a weird way and thus I think the original track sounds more intense..... still awesome tho. Yes to more rock in kpop
If you watch the Spotify MV version of 'Fake Love' there are way more different scenes than the 2 on Yt, and you'll definitely analyse a lot more from connecting the scenes of all 3 MVs. The 'Fake Love' Spotify MV's sound is the original sound, not the extended one :)
i think that the problem (dont misunderstand me, i love the rock version too) is i think that they only took the vocals of the original song and added the rock instrumental, and that makes it a little weird or "not compatible", so i would like to hear it live so that their voices combine or go with the rock music goes, just my opinion

"Isn't that like the dark kermit meme?" I'M HOLLERING

Ur joining bts???
RM already said the fanchants was a ritual😂😂so basically it already was a cult😂
It has always been
Bts was always a cult tbh
"we're getting weird now, boys"- aka the understatement of the century
pstmxlmnd I died when he said that!
Should've been "we're getting weirder now, boys" hahahaha
i was surprised cause the rock version gives out more sad and depressing feeling o_O i feel so emo like i’m listening to dashboard confessionals
Army please vote for BTS on Idol Champ we are currently losing and time is running!!
To be quite honest I like the rock sound better for this song. I’m a fan of rock and to see my fav Kpop group do rock remixes it just felt like a perfect little crossover of everything I love.
have you heard the brit rock remix version of spring day? :D if you didn't you should, you'll like it
Yesss, same here. I was a fan of alternative punk rock before becoming an army, so this was like a dream come true. I thought the remix with RM and FOB was the closest we would get to anything rock. But then we got this version, and the recent spring day remix. I'm just so happy :')
That's why I like Dreamcatcher. :D
“The dark kermit meme” lol
Kim Drake-Wayne sorry to be a stickler but "Darth Kermit" meme😁
i really liked this version more i felt so nostalgic bc rock was my main genre before getting into kpop and getting exposed to a plethora of new genres. hearing this kind of song in kpop, esp by my fave group, really just made me so happy and gave the song an even more powerful emotional impact imo ❤️
G.M. Magyes the difference with the original is it's more catchy than the rock version. But yea I feel same as you i love this version :)
Because they almost always have live band at their concerts, I guess this is the exact version which all the people who will attend concert will hear
Jungkook did another GCF a while ago I think you should watch it if you haven’t yet, it’s really well made and funny
Koala chan Do you mind if I ask for the link? I searched it on youtube but didn't see any new GCF from Jungkook. 😢
Elixia Charlotte L'Cruselle search "gcf in osaka" and it should show up
Perhaps you're talking about GCF in Osaka, if i am correct he has reacted to it already.
EDIT: It seems he hasn't reacted to it
Dream:TheScene he reacted to his first GCF
Karel Ligtas
I know, i was talking about GCF in Osaka you see
I feel like this version was the demo mix but they just polished it a bit, you can tell by the transitions between verse and chorus being a bit abrupt. I actually like this version more than the OG though haha.
Yes I love the one they changed but there’s something really cool an unexpected about this version that I’m here for.
Same. Loved this version. Maybe it's just preference haha
This is the same version they performed at BBMA in 2018
Brit rock remix of spring day
min shoga I wonder if their next album or project will be more rock themed
Shikanara omooo. I hope so. :)
Yesssssss!
I prefer this version. Only BTS could make a perfect song even more perfect. Or maybe it's just because rock is my #1 favourite genre.
Adding the acoustic and electric guitar, the bass and the drums is just so smart and it sounds SOO goooooood

The giant dropping brick in the end is really awkward tbh, I can't take it seriously at all hahaha
Mint i hate the brick drop so much it just makes me laugh sksjsj why did they do that
yourguardianangel thank god I'm not the only one :"'')
Jimin's Jams lmao word!
Unpopular opinion this version suits Taehyung's voice more than other vocalists
Having been raised on rock n roll, I was THRILLED to hear this version! I’m waiting for the right moment to play it for my rock n roll drummer husband, who has poo pooed my love for BTS because they are a “boy band.” 🤨 So I guess I’m saying I like this version more, and I wish it was on the album I preordered!

Thanks for promoting the lovemyself campaign!

Ha same
literally same
shiet that's my childhood anthem 😂
saaammmeee
Is it just me or am I the only who sang this? 😂
“I get ready for a big drop and I fall for it every time.”
The big drop comes at the very end making it a true rock version in every sense of the word. 😜

I was waiting for this reaction cos you would probably appreciate the more-prominent drums and guitar sounds!
Army please vote for BTS on Idol Champ we are currently losing and time is running!!
I absolutely love this version, it made fake love one of the best bts song for me
*dark kermit meme* dyiNGGG
this version is AWESOME

PLEASE REACT TO THE BRIT ROCK VERSION OF SPRING DAY
TBH extended version is blowing the original out of the water. It's so so so wonderful. Makes me wanna cry.
THAT CRACKLE SOUND OF THE CANDY WRAPPERS when Jhope fell ontop of it. Was so....satisfying...
I loved this version. I wish this was the OG video and mix but I guess I can understand why it wasn't. Yeah I love rock and when I heard the mix I was thrilled, it sounds beautiful, and with Spring Day having its own rock remix I am living for pop-rock BTS, more of that please. BTS are so amazing! So many masterpieces!
I remember when the teaser photos came out, some people predicted that it would be a rock comeback. I was kind of excited for that, so this is really cool. Before Kpop, I listened to a lot of rock and alternative so it’s interesting to see this little ‘mashup’ of the two genres
I prefer both version honestly
i really want to see yoongi and jin perform a duet, yoongi on piano/keyboard and jin on guitar/e-guitar
Love your reactions and your views on a lot of things please keep doing em!
I dont know if you saw, but if you didint: they did a rock version of DNA on an award show in december and it was amazing
Please react to Jungkook's G.C.F in Osaka!
He saw both of G.C.F
As always, really enjoyed your reaction. In regard to the actual music, although I did like it I prefer the original. Admiralduckychops I’m pretty sure it’s the demo version cleaned up a bit
The fact that he is not bias towards bts nor he is an army, makes me soooo proud of the boys that he likes this so much
Great reaction and great way to support the boys’ UNICEF campaign. Best price I’ve seen for a genuine LY hoodie with free shipping! Thanks, PD!
this is in fact a different version youre right and for your first reaction to the mv youre also correct it is related in a way to i nned u because of the story line that goes through some of their videos and webtoon and the notes book its very deep and detailed and amazing really
Gotta listen to the Brit Rock remix of Spring Day, it made the song sound even more beautiful!
The falling floor was also practical, the split floors from Jungkook to Taehyung is a common effect in recent BTS MVs. I'm looking forward to how the next LY album will answer questions, if they do a direct continuation.
I love that they added the foley effects.

I enjoyed the extended version because it's more significance on the struggles of realities of self love ❤️.. The new music arrangement intensifies the struggles.. Indicating still hiding behind a mask, which closed you out from finding true love.. Loved your reactions..
I fall for it every time too
I looove this ve4sion. You said as I had, it had a Linkin Park sound to it. Really loved it.
To me, this one is like a rock remix. A version with a live band, and it sounds amazing! :) I love both. They are different but equally beautiful.
The ending means they are letting the part of them go from their insecurities, fears, depression, pain and to start accepting and loving yourself. That is how I took it.
3:20 my exact reaction when i first heard the song... and until now
My ultimate groups BTS and Dreamcatcher are doing rock with strong performance is the best thing I witness as a fan 😆!
I absolutely love both versions!! 😭
I love your reviews :) you always comment interesting things and in a proffesional way ^^

Absolutely love the extended version! 💜BTS!!!
i was just about to re-watch your ly: tear album reaction and saw this on my notifs
I had heard from someone that the person in the scene with the carnival objects and snicker bars was actually left at a fair with only a snicker bar and then abandoned by his mother when he was younger
Susan Johnson Yeah he was in the BTS universe.
The video quality on this upload seems amazing compared to usual RUclips standards :o is it just me??
Might be the new $700 lens
Thanks for promote the UNICEF Campaign!!
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Great video! Really enjoy your thoughts and reactions.
7:01 that face change though
No gonna lie, when PD mentioned the Slo Mo Guys I was so shocked lol felt like two worlds colliding
Shout out to Dreamcatcher! 😂😂
I think this version was good even if we only listen the instrumental version.
As much I do like Dreamcatcher also, this type of concept music isn't anything new. This is simply K-rock (a bit rock pop/anime ost, has some J-rock undertones.) So yeah, shout out to them but just know they didn't "start" this trend lmao
Both are good, but the original one is my favor.💜👍
Lucille Mosley Same 💜

Omg yes yes yes thank you so much!!!!
Anyone catch the coat racks from Vs music video for Singularity at the end?
I looooooved the Rock version. I was a big Linkin Park fan so this was right up my alley.
i screamed when the snickers bars drowned jhope like who can say they suffocated by a bunch of snickers
I would love this video better without the choreography, just full storyline like they did with RUN and I NEED U. It's just that the dancing is obviously made for the original version so it looks kinda off to me in this version.
I loved this version more that the og versionn😍
I always love your set up its really cool 💜
Bring ROCK into Kpop music!🙏
Really loved that u but jhope pic in the thmupnail😢💚
4:55 same I always fall for it.
Your reactions are the best
I prefer this.rock vibe!!!!!loveeet!!! You're right, sound emo-rock /linkin park era 😍
I preffered this version to the original. I just love how pretty and powerful the variety of guitars sound. Love the light PD looks good.
Day6 also incorporates rock in their music too 🤘
Hi pd, I'm a new subscriber I really love your videos, keep doing it!
thankyu for the last quote before the mv officially ended.. XD
That moment when theres a BTS ad before a BTS reaction. Coincidence? I THINK NOT.

I love this version a 10000000 more than the original!
thank you
Thank you PD!
‘You’re getting weird now boys’ 😂😂 love it
"Isn't that the dark Kermit meme?" I'm cackling omfg PD
I BURSTED OUT LAUGHIJG WHEN HE SAID "isnt that the dark Kermit meme"
I don't know if you realized but the "Save me" actually spells out "I'm fine" also when you flip it
