ON is my favorite title track out of all title tracks. The level of artistry is showing. I love the idea that they hired an actual band for this song. This proves that the BTS is still growing, exploring and breaking the norm of kpop inspite of their success and achievements. They even have multiple MVs for one song (ON and BS) and they are investing so much on their artistry. They never disappoint. What a legacy.
You really have to check the album now ! :) For me, it's their best album '-'. Honeslty, it's perfectly logic that people are either loving the song or are disappointed, now that they are this mainsteam, this well-known. Some people will always have impossible expectation, and I'm sure they don't know themself what they're expecting. But with so much people who know them and so much people who will watch their next move, it's impossible to please everybody. Millions of people. Millions people with differents taste and different opinions and expectations and with different feeling towards BTS (some wait their new releases but have a negative mindset towards them who bias them and some have always positive mindset who bias them too etc...) For me, anybody can like or don't like this new song and performance but the production of this song, the execution are top notch.. For me, it's ok to not be a fan of it but impossible to be disappointed in it '-' Ow and Sope (Hobi/Suga) transitions are always the best hehe '-'

Being American, my opinion is I LOVE this song. I was in love with Black Swan, but I’m entranced with this song. The American marching band being used is such a unique idea. Love the beat, love the more prominent V vocals, and the choreo of course. The song by itself, great.
I am 1000% with you, PD. Best title track of late. I have total confidence that this MV coming up will be excellent, and even if it’s not, we still got this Kentetic manifesto film, and the song is just *chef’s kiss*. Honestly, the whole album, all the new stuff, is really the culmination of their career. BTS are no joke, man, the hype is real.
*it's just insane how they outsold themselves with 'on'. i totally agree with you, everything is so new with this comeback and so well thought. the way this was filmed just blends so well with their moves and it makes it way more intense for us, viewers. the intensity and the energy was really there, you can literally feel it in your soul. that's how powerful they are. i think that's just incredible*
BTS is fucking INSANE! one of the dancers who was in the video said he was in bed for 5 days after this choreo. It was that tough to do. Now imagine BTS. They just performed it on Fallon and then collapsed right there after the performance. And then they're going to perform it on those music shows too. BTS is just crazy for this. The amount of effort and skills. I can't stop thinking about it.
This is definitely my favorite title track since Fake Love. The fierceness of the moves and lyrics and beat are awesome. My thought was that this was showcasing the choreography and that the other MV will be more story driven like I Need U, Run, or Spring Day?
I really believe that the official MV will follow the inner story for each member what they dealt with to get to where they're at now! From the little glimmer of clues of it shown during performances from the final Speak Yourself Concerts in Seoul, through the vcr breaks that showed clues of what they'll be like! Jimin's part had some dancing during one part so we might see just a little bit of that, but I really believe it will be more artistically creatively done perception of what each members realm of shadows that has haunted them is like!! Maybe some scenes will have the same and or similar effects used for txt!! But since they've done the dancing to perfection already, I don't believe that would be the feature!
"incredibly epic" YESS THE ONLY THING THAT CAN EXPLAIN THIS IS EPIC it was amazing mots7 could be one of their best albums neck to neck with TEAR and wings. I think BTS explained it perfectly themselves the genre they aim for is BTS. They believe reducing music to a specific genre or label doesn't work well and they want to simply continue producing music sincerely, that's what got me into them so I very much support them on that!
Honestly, this album is one of the best albums they ever did! I’m an ARMY from bulletproof era, and I love all their albums. But this one...wow...they outdone themselves.
Yoyo Ana idk...the b tracks are amazing for me!! ON does sound autotune, but I think it’s because it’s been mixed with a lot of instruments & voices. Some parts though don’t sound autotune for me. I hope you did like some songs though, and even if you didn’t, I hope their future tracks will be more your taste 😊💜
@@lana89001 I don't have nothing against autotune but the way they use it is just tastless it's totally unnecessary because they have beautiful voices. They could've done it way better but oh well...I did like Louder than bombs and My time tho..
Hobi’s verse is my favourite part of the song and is one of my favourite Hobi verses of all their songs. Sometimes I don’t love how much autotune BTS use in their songs and how they mix their vocals, but the mixing of Hobi’s voice is wonderful and allows the tone of his voice to really shine. Ugh it’s great. I do have to disagree with you slightly and for me I still like Fake Love and Blood, Sweat, and Tears more than ON but it is for sure top-tier for sure. Oh and I also just got my new credit card and finally joined you on Patreon!
ON is everything and more that i could ask from them. The first BTS video that blew me away was Not Today, and this is a massively updated version of it to me. I'm also a big fan of Mic Drop and live music. Whenever BTS decides to use real instruments on hype songs it's truly amazing, we've seen it at concerts, the songs get elevated, they get better. Plus the use of vocal samples on the beat, rap line's delivery and Jungkook's beautiful bridge.... ON really checks everything i love about BTS.
I loved that you pointed out all the camera punches, zooms and sweeps that I loved, the cuts, the kicks... everything... everything with this video from the facial expressions to the choreo to the camera shots, I loved it.
As someone who really fell in love with their older music first, as much as I love all of their new music I definitely was feeling it lean towards Western music style and I just felt like I was kinda missing that older style. To me this comeback has me freaking out, I really feel like this title track and the whole album feels the most like their older music while still being new and it makes me soooo excited and happy. (That being said I have loved all of their music, am so happy for all they have achieved within the past couple years, and definitely am not saying they need to stick to one style. As artists I love seeing them explore different styles, I seriously love that, but there has always been this raw energy BTS has had and I just feel like it really shows through again here.)
This is definitely one of my fave comebacks from them ever. I love the vibe, choreo, everyone did so amazing with their lines... and the swagggg they exude nowadays is crazy

I agree when you said this is their best title track. This is BTS in the purest form - confidence, pride, and 0 fear. The fact that the kinetic manifesto film is so interesting, and that I can watch it over and over and not get bored speaks volumes, because I am not someone who paid attention to dance before BTS. I'm honestly terrified about the M/V on Friday, it's gonna be on another level. Not only is this song incredible, but so is the entire album. It's their best album to date, and now I know why we had to wait 10 months for it. A lot of time and thought was put into the songs, the concepts, and judging from the On M/V, as well as Shadow, Ego, and Black Swan, the whole promotion of it. All I can say is well done to BTS, they really did that, and has only strengthened their standing as my bias group, which is now entering it's sixth year💖
15:29 As a ballerina, I can say directors that actually know how to film dance are worth their weight in gold. (And filmmakers than consider dance inferior can shove it)

You're uploading so many vids one right after the other, I feel blessed! It's always great to listen to what you have to say, and see your reaction when songs surprise you
I agree.. they are so confident to release a dance performance video before the actual mv.. only BTS can experiment like this just like what they did to Black swan art film. Everyone knows their impact is huge.
"The genre is BTS. That's the genre we want to make and the music that we want. New genre." - BTS,,,, also the album has a variety of genres in it from pop, hip-hop, RnB, latin pop ect ect
pikaaa. yo my thought is that use korean element doesn’t mean it close to kpop Just like some of kpop songs use a lot of edm but it’s still sound like kpop
You were the best reactor for this video. You understood its essence and the creativity of the music film and you are getting me SO hyped up for their official MV. I haven’t been this excited for a BTS comeback since Fake Love. Thank you so much for your reaction!
I really hope this video sets off a trend of actual good, high budget performance videos. As a dancer and someone who really appreciates kpop choreography this was amazing and I loved it so much.
i really hope the “real” MV is truly as epic as we are all expecting, ngl ever since DNA their music videos haven’t been like the best yk??? like idk perhaps i rlly just miss like long ass storyline MV likes i need u , run & bs&t like just something so epic that you can ever understand it 3 years later LMAO
Honestly, I think they released this Performance FIlm because they did the exact performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in Grand Central Station in NYC on 24th. People saw this choreo and were anticipating the performance on television- it`s a smart move since it was a big production stage and it made an impact. They got the people hyped and then delivered.
I’m one with you on the camerawork in this one, Yoongi’s drop during the dance break, Jimin’s front kick, the camera moving closer emphasizing Jungkook’s On and On and On, those are the most satisfying portions of the whole video.
ON is an amazing comeback and I absolutely love it!!! The song is perfect and really what I wanted and more coming off of BWL. I wanted harder and they delivered
Yes that i thing that i have noticed... Like Jimin and j-hope are the two main dancers but jimin has almost double the time in the front (and this song is not the o ly one) . And this type of dance is perfect for jhope. Probably cuz he dosent sing here and most of the slmg and chorus is by the vocal Line
I completely agree about the song. This is my favorite of recent comebacks. Like you, Fake Love has been my favorite but ON blew it out of the water. This album is incredible. So mature and really displays their growth and journey. I think many KPop fans are struggling with the transition/incorporation of the western influence. BTS is not KPop anymore. Not in the traditional sense. They have almost created their own genre. I can't say enough about this album. I'm so damn proud of them and appreciate their rawness. They never hold back from us. Ever.
This song and their new album changed me from an ex-ARMY to an ARMY :) I'm glad that they have such a wonderful title track like ON.. it sounds great! 🥰

What I’m thinking is this video was a focus on choreography and western elements like the marching band, choir background and American dancers. I have a feeling the 2nd music video will be focused more on visual, story, aesthetic and their traditional kpop style. Still going to be beautiful but different forsure
If you go watch the Bangtan Bomb for the “BTS Focus” of this song, you can actually see the drones! Also, they actually had actual marching band members record the instrumental! Check out the On Commentary Dialogue Film.
A year and several releases later- this is still my favorite BTS MV, hands down. The production and creativity is so amazing. I actually used this MV to get a bunch of my friends into BTS
Some people don't like the autotune or reverb but that's just them. Without the autotune it honestly wouldnt sound as complete digitally. Live is obvs another matter.
This is why K pop is so popular. The choreography that goes with it is absolutely amazing. As a child in the 80's I used to watch Solid Gold. It was a variety show with dancing and singing. I loved it. There's just not anything that compares to Korea in the rest of the world now when it comes to choreographing their songs. And as for making a great music video, dancing just makes it so much better. Obviously not all over the video, but there's nothing that pulls me in more than great choreography. But that's just me. And you have to be good to blend the choreography with the song. It's a skill that I think people lack and probably avoid it as a result.
BTS is at another level of all kpop group.. Their production team getting higher and higher.. And esp in US.. They are so many talented production and composers.. It is great they are getting better in all aspect

Millions people with differents taste and different opinions and expectations and with different feeling towards BTS (some wait their new releases but have a negative mindset towards them who bias them and some have always positive mindset who bias them too etc...)
For me, anybody can like or don't like this new song and performance but the production of this song, the execution are top notch.. For me, it's ok to not be a fan of it but impossible to be disappointed in it '-'
Ow and Sope (Hobi/Suga) transitions are always the best hehe '-'
Exactly if army are happy the fans especially the album I'm happy for this comeback from them.
I expected more rap in the album tbh. Still like the album tho! Can’t wait for the MV.
@@kliphord123X I think Army are really happy yes 💕 :D If Army and BTS are happy it's what matters, you're right :)
@@yazdanjf3140 I guess yep :) Still very please with the rap, as all 3 rappers have their solo and two others songs are rap focus :) But only one is hard hard rap, so I guess people who like hip hop and rap, it's not their favorite album. Personnaly I'm very please with all their verse in every songs, it shows the diversity of the rappers :) They can do it all. And as for the vocal line, they're getting better and better and try also others things. As they always grow, it's finally logic that they demonstrate more vocal focus songs, since their vocal abality always grow too :) Personnaly, I really like RNB so I'm very please with this album, their voices and harmonies are honey to my ears 😂😂
And for the stories and lyrics, they never dissapoint :3, still very personals tracks. How they talk about themself but still manage to connect all the songs between them and connect it to Psychologists Jung concepts still amazed me hehe !
Damn it was a long passionate comment, sorry if it's not interesting :'')
@@drennae for sure.
Dear PD:
You were so damn right.
Love,
An ARMY from the future who just watched the official MV.
I assumed they released this first, because of their "connect" art stuff... I see this as a continuation of an "art" installation... if you get me
Had exactly the same thought. They released it first to tie their own work into Connect.
I also thought that it was about spreading art
Ikr! I was watching with my jaw on the floor. How can BTS do this 😭
RESPECT
Marching sound gave this song such a flavour, I love it. And real instruments!
Omg I can’t wait to hear PD’s thoughts because holy shit this music video is a fucking masterpiece
I watch this version many times and it still get my heart pumping and feel the passion from the performance through the screen. It literally move me.
Hope's verse was my favorite part by far, it was so hot. He looks AMAZING.
This comeback has really showed how great dancers they are! It’s clear how much Namjoon and Jin have improved
Honestly, this album is one of the best albums they ever did! I’m an ARMY from bulletproof era, and I love all their albums. But this one...wow...they outdone themselves.
still nothing beats the wings era
For me it was hyyh era and wings..autotune ruined this album for me especially in ON they sound like a frickin robots i hate bighit for this
YakutoSenpai that’s why I said one of the best 😉
Yoyo Ana idk...the b tracks are amazing for me!!
ON does sound autotune, but I think it’s because it’s been mixed with a lot of instruments & voices. Some parts though don’t sound autotune for me.
I hope you did like some songs though, and even if you didn’t, I hope their future tracks will be more your taste 😊💜
@@lana89001 I don't have nothing against autotune but the way they use it is just tastless it's totally unnecessary because they have beautiful voices. They could've done it way better but oh well...I did like Louder than bombs and My time tho..
Just wanted to say this also is the official mv, bighit even confirmed it☺️
Mrs. spill the tae. The official MUSIC VIDEO IS NEXT FRIDAY !!!
it's not the official music video but they are counting it as as a music video, there is gonna be another one
Too Beautiful To Handle for streams , streams count for charts
Jane Grace where did they say that? can you give me a link or something because i cant find anything
If you guys have twitter pls follow BTS, bighit, translators, fanbases and other official accounts for updates everything is literally there
Hobi’s verse is my favourite part of the song and is one of my favourite Hobi verses of all their songs.
"Center Jimin. Come at me"
*Same*
I loved that you pointed out all the camera punches, zooms and sweeps that I loved, the cuts, the kicks... everything... everything with this video from the facial expressions to the choreo to the camera shots, I loved it.
PD both the Kinetic Manifesto AND the one coming out on the 28th are official music videos! Bighit has stated it recently!
honestly out of all youtubers out there, your reaction video was the only video i was waiting for.....you don't sugarcoat and most importantly, you really knows what to say....you know what you're doing and you're doing it as how it should be done
IT IS AN OFFICIAL MV
THERE ARE TWO
I stan tea 📢📢📢
No its not an mv
@@bellatrexy6749 Bighit called it an Official MV
béllà trexy of course it is, on has two official MV‘s I don‘t know how the message hasn‘t reached all armys yet
@@rosedawson3252 Idt it was spread quite enough about it to RUclips Armys and there is some that still don't know otherwise the views for the mv could've been higher in the 1st 24 hours
I love this song. I love the actual instruments used, like all the brass. I love love love it. It's so punchy & it gets me so hype.
i am from the future and im here to say that the on mv is legendary so much symbolism in it
I agree when you said this is their best title track.
(And filmmakers than consider dance inferior can shove it)
ON is for sure one of my top 5 title tracks from BTS. It's that good.
I love the way you speak. You are SO well spoken, the words just come out so naturally and smoothly. I can only hope to achieve your level of professionalism. Have a great vacation!
PD’s face on the tumbnail says it all
You're uploading so many vids one right after the other, I feel blessed! It's always great to listen to what you have to say, and see your reaction when songs surprise you
I agree.. they are so confident to release a dance performance video before the actual mv.. only BTS can experiment like this just like what they did to Black swan art film. Everyone knows their impact is huge.
same opinion! This song is more like mix kpop and USA pop, and not only "on", I think all album mix kpop and USA pop style.
YiJun Liu there's not only pop in that album
There's not too much pop tbh
María Hernández I am not good at English so I'm not sure whether I make myself clear. Just totally agree with PD’s point.
"The genre is BTS. That's the genre we want to make and the music that we want. New genre." - BTS,,,,
also the album has a variety of genres in it from pop, hip-hop, RnB, latin pop ect ect
but the korean youtuber producer say they use a lot of korean element in the song ?
pikaaa. yo my thought is that use korean element doesn’t mean it close to kpop
Just like some of kpop songs use a lot of edm but it’s still sound like kpop
You were the best reactor for this video. You understood its essence and the creativity of the music film and you are getting me SO hyped up for their official MV. I haven’t been this excited for a BTS comeback since Fake Love. Thank you so much for your reaction!
Taehyung in the thumbnail though.. he is so hot
One of the few reaction videos worth my time. Nice job.
You really popped the c on “kinetic” and it made my little singer soul v happy
I really hope this video sets off a trend of actual good, high budget performance videos. As a dancer and someone who really appreciates kpop choreography this was amazing and I loved it so much.
i really hope the “real” MV is truly as epic as we are all expecting, ngl ever since DNA their music videos haven’t been like the best yk??? like idk perhaps i rlly just miss like long ass storyline MV likes i need u , run & bs&t like just something so epic that you can ever understand it 3 years later LMAO
maybe mandatory military enlistment might get in the way?? idk, ive noticed that too but maybe its a change that they wanted
I agree with your comment of Boy With Luv being an experiment. And yes, ON does set in the middle extremely well.
Who cares if it's better, I am going to love both this and the official mv, Just amazing is what people should be saying!!
"Center Jimin, come at me."
I feel you😔✊
I’m one with you on the camerawork in this one, Yoongi’s drop during the dance break, Jimin’s front kick, the camera moving closer emphasizing Jungkook’s On and On and On, those are the most satisfying portions of the whole video.
Yooo PD has been AT IT full force, so many videos coming out, I appreciate
They all look fucking amazing, pardon my language, we've been blessed💜
i love how you call hobi (jhope) hope it's really adorable ;A;
ON is an amazing comeback and I absolutely love it!!! The song is perfect and really what I wanted and more coming off of BWL. I wanted harder and they delivered
I still can't believe Hoseok being main dancer had only 4 sec of dance break, that's my only complain
Ever.
This song and their new album changed me from an ex-ARMY to an ARMY :)
I'm glad that they have such a wonderful title track like ON.. it sounds great! 🥰
Wondering why did you become ex
@@ayeshahmocd6917 ahh.. there are many reasons actually and I'm not comfortable saying it because I will definitely get backlash if I do...
@@nineplustentwentyone26 Glad that now you become re-Army:). JUst remember what Namjoon said in his UN speech that he admited what he did wrong in the past. Truly adore him for have the guts of admitting mistakes, because only strong can do that. Now they are growing and mature young men
@@ayeshahmocd6917 ahhh yes.. even though I'm an ex-ARMY I'm always connected with them because they have a special place in my heart ^-^
But thanks for the reminder my dear! ❤🥰
Same, i joined the fandom in fake love era. I love BWL era, but due to many circumstances i couldn't enjoy it that much. I'm hyping this one. When shadow and black swan first came out, i was very emotional. The lyrics really hit me. I could feel the pain. And now i come back as a loyal fans.
PD, I don't know if you saw, but Big Hit released a, "BTS Focus," video where they actually show the drone camera work. It's really worth watching.
totally agree with you about J-ope, i like how he sound this in song
I love on and I love the manifesto mv, my jaw fell to the floor. I also really love the representation in the video, it's so natural and nonforced
Not to be weird but I really like how you enunciate your words.
6:50 showing us the sneaky middle-finger.
Boy with luv definitely hitted the mark it was one of the top in the americas its awesome ✨️✨️✨️
Who is disappointed about this song?????????? I've never seen anyone dislike this song
I love the song tho. It is different, almost like an orchestra and I really enjoy it.
Too Beautiful To Handle can’t relate
I like it but I’ve liked other title tracks more. The bsides are amazing on this album though
Idk its one of the best title tracks they had in a while
Some people don't like the autotune or reverb but that's just them.
‘jimin looks amazing’
0000.1 second later
jimin: _i know._
BTS is at another level of all kpop group.. Their production team getting higher and higher.. And esp in US.. They are so many talented production and composers.. It is great they are getting better in all aspect
tae and jimin were wearing all white for a reason. at 6:18 if you look at their formation, it looks lika a snake. tae and jimin are the fangs!
thank you for reacting to ON💜
please react to txt's magic island mv i've been requesting this for awhile and i won't stop until you react to it😂
My favorite parts were Jhope’s rap and then it goes right into Yoongi dancing in the front ICONIC
Pd famboying over Jimin at the end. THE JIMIN EFFECT EVERYBODY.
A mix of kpop, marching band and a beaaaautiful gospel choir. I agree this is their best title track and also their best choreo. Just for what they are but also because we can clearly see how they've artistically matured over the years. I'm still at that phase where I've got goosebumps every time I watch it lol the dance practice video with the dancers shouting is also amazing
