Hi. Really appreciate this video. I was wondering if I could apply this technique to a floor.... I'm currently building a photography studio, and would love a limewash floor. The floor is concrete at the moment.... Thank you.
What an interesting question haha I’m not entirely sure. My thought would be that foot traffic would quickly wear away at the finish. However if I were to take a stab at it, I recommend maybe 2-3 coats of a matte topcoat for protection. Look for something made for flooring/outdoors to ensure it can withstand wear. I’d love to hear how your project goes if you try it out! Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful
Hola, tengo una pared pintada en color naranja, quería saber si necesito pintar previamente con un color similar al tono que voy a utilizar con Linewash, o solo simplemente podrá cubrir sin colocar nada debajo. Gracias Hello, I have a wall painted in orange, I wanted to know if I need to paint beforehand with a color similar to the tone that I am going to use with Linewash, or if it can just be covered without placing anything underneath. Thank you
Hola! Gracias para tu pregunta. Yo recomendaría usar Lime Primer primero, antes de usar el Limewash. Lime primer is white, so it will cover up some of the orange on your wall. It also helps the limewash to stick to your wall as best as possible. If you have a very bright/bold orange on the wall and are trying to cover it with something super light like white, it may be helpful to do a few coats of lime primer to really whiten the wall up first. Or you can paint the walls white with one coat of regular paint, then use the lime primer, and then finally cover it with limewash. Personally I would just put on 2-3 coats of lime primer and then at least 3 coats of limewash. Hope that helps! Y buena suerte!
Should be fine. You can check out my second limewash video for more details. But you may not get the same signature velvety limewash look, so keep that in mind if that’s what you’re going for.
Yes! It can work in bathrooms. But if you’ll be applying it in high moisture areas (by bathtub or sink) you may want to add a matte acrylic topcoat to help maintain the limewash

If my walls are textured, will it look ok?
Should be fine. You can check out my second limewash video for more details. But you may not get the same signature velvety limewash look, so keep that in mind if that’s what you’re going for.
Is this okay for bathrooms?

So soothing I love this

Can you share the recipe for homemade lime paint?
