We have a painter coming in to prep the walls for lime wash. He is adding a drywall compound smooth layer over previously painted walls. He is telling me that I don’t need to use lime wash primer that has a really good primer and that lime wash will work with it, do you think I need lime wash primer or his professional primer?

Does lime wash paint stick to the vinyl panel walls that they put in manufactured homes? Does it need a primer of some sort?

Probably easier to remove the fixture, spray, and reinstall

I used a very light colour and the cloudy effect wasn't too strong, to be honest I can barely see it. Do you think this is because of the shade of the paint was too light? Thanks

Thanks for the video! Limewash is a lovely finish but how does one remove it from walls if one just wants to go back to regular paints? I looked it up online and other than removing the drywall entirely, one has to sand it down or use paint strippers- this sounds like a big hassle to do. You cant just paint over it and make it disappear...

Any suggestions after we applied lime wash a previous dry wall repair is bleeding through any suggestions? 2 coats of latex primer was applied before lime wash

If I wanted to repaint my walls back to egg shell white again … is there a process I need to follow or do I just paint it back the way I would any other wall?

I'd add a little bit of pigment mixed in so you've got yourself a wall with a bit of color and character personally. Gray is a bit depressing

Should the wall be skim-coated before applying this treatment? Asking because so many people in the U.S. have textured walls. I believe that limewash looks best on flat walls with no texture so was wondering about this. Thanks.
