Live at The Whisky a Go Go was recorded and filmed in late 2022 during Everclear’s 30th Anniversary Tour back in the band's hometown of Los Angeles and marked the first time the acclaimed quartet performed at the famed venue on the Sunset Strip. The 17-track collection features all the hits and hidden treasures from throughout Everclear’s extraordinary catalog as well as two bonus studio tracks, “Year Of The Tiger” and “Sing Away.”
“Live at The Whisky a Go Go is raw, loose, noisy, and kind of ragged around the edges…just like rock & roll is supposed to be,” shares frontman and founder Art Alexakis. “Having grown up in Santa Monica in the late 1970s, performing at The Whisky was always a dream, and that dream finally came true December 1st, 2022. Everclear has always been one of those bands that are way louder and rowdier live than we are on record, so this performance video and album is a gift of love to the thousands of fans who have come to our shows over the last 30 years.”

I've seen Everclear a few times and loved them each time. Here's a story. The first CD my brother bought with his own money was Now 1 with "I Will Buy You a New Life" on it. He wore the CD out because he played it so much. I found the CD jacket at my house. When I went to a show, I met Art afterwards and had him sign it for my brother. I gave him the jacket for Christmas! Everclear is fantastic!

great film quality and great performance. no idea why people are being goofy and saying that it's recorded in a studio if they actually watched the performance but even the oldheads are turning into ipad babies atp so i doubt they watched more than a few minutes. it takes a lot of skill to sing 100 percent live and still have such a good stage show so good job guys

He had throat surgery and did woodstock 99 like a week later so I imagine that and being a smoker took a toll on his voice but he always seems to do the best he can and I love his voice

Hard to tell… these vox might even have been recorded in the studio afterwards (a la Van Halen’s “Right Here, Right Now”), but there’s a weird push/pull trade-off: hardcore fans will never care, but if any band employing this trick (Offspring, Goldfinger, etc.) is aiming to garner new fans I don’t think they realize how “off” it sounds…
It's been done since KISS Alive & before. It's tricks done by everyone, even your favourite bands. Not a big deal in the end as long as it all sounds great!
Labeling this recording 'live' is just not true. Live should be left live. It really cuts at those musicians that make mistakes and sing slightly off key once and a while and leaves it there for the sanctity of the live recording. That's what separates live from studio; we can't start changing the definitions just to sound better. That's a lie.

Great sound... but 100% post production vox. He leads away from the mic many times, but the vox are still crisp. Very obvious. Again though, sounds great.

It's a great performance, he's a professional, and there is post production with that very dynamic and sound cancelling mic. It's real. Believe it
