Setzer has used the same rig for years: 2 1960's Fender Bassman amps with Chinese tubes, a Space Echo pedal and occasionally a Tube Screamer pedal. in 81 they came to the most isolated city in the world, Perth Western Australia and played the Embassy Ballroom. Great cabaret venue for them and they were brilliant. Ballroom demolished 12 months later.

Thank you for this collection, just super . Yesterday I was dying of pain, melancholy, high temperature, loneliness and other unhappy events, old age is no exception... But now I listen to my favorite rock, my favorite bands and my mood improves. Thank you so much
I've seen Brian Setzer with Stray Cats, and the Brian Setzer Orchestra, and there are not very many guitarists on this planet who can hold his jock
This is one of the leading lights for raw skiffle and enlightened music from America. Congratulations to this band for rock cannot die and provides positive memories of a valuable musical history.
He was 23 or 24 here. Amazing. I could barely tie my shoes.
Amazing concert. Loved there music back in the 80s and wish I’d got to see them live..
They sound better than 90% of the concert footage I see of any band today. It's amazing how humanity gets more lame the more technology advances 😂
I remember seeing this concert live on TV, doesn't get any better than this...
Great SHOW! THANK YOU!
12/31/2023 Start humming " Rock This Town " so of course this comes up on list after no thought no news nothing remarkable and here comes The Stray Cats into my Ears I love it !!
One of the most beautiful places for concerts, the Loreley. Memories in which the Cats have their place.
Hi, hope you're doing well.
I really didn't understand the 50s thing in the 80s.
The song Stray Cats was a huge hit on the radio.
Then I got to see them at the US Festival 83.
Ever since then I don't judge a band until I see them live.
These guys are incredible.
I want to thank you very much for the great footage !
amazing how on his game Setzer is, such command of what he wants to play and an effortless dictionary, great singing too
Slim Jim Phantom is not only a Great and Precise Drummer, but also a great Showman..!
Brian Setzer plays and sing's, like he sold His Soul to the Devil..!
And Lee Rocker on the Bass keeping it all together Masterfully..!
The Stray Cats are THE Finest of ALL Modern Rockabilly band's..!
Hands Down..!
That's a great recording thanks for sharing.
First heard these guys early 82 stray cat strut on little college radio in riverside ca great band first saw them at the Roxy in Hollywood 82 best concert I ever saw wow ! Saw them numerous times thanks for posting this video a lot of memories
Always loved their gig they had it going on , cool as cool cat can be ,,, very simple good old rocking roll ,,, Drummer looks soooo cool standing up cig in his mouth beating them drums, love that 50's vibe ,,,
It’s impossible to overstate the lazer-like way Brian, EVH, and SRV cut through the sappy pop music of the early 80’s. Pure guitar joy. Feels like yesterday.
Born in '77
Wouldn't leave mom & dads record player alone so they bought me a tiny red and white striped record player and a few 45s for my 5th birthday
Stray Cat Strut was the first one I played. I was reborn 😊
