- Ben Avery’s new podcast, Lemonparty, earns almost $20,000 each month on Patreon. Lemon party is a comedy podcast hosted by Ben Avery, Devan Costa, and Jace Avery. Ben Avery is the former producer of The Tim Dillon Show, and he started his new podcast, lemonparty, after he was fired from the Tim Dillon Show. While Tim Dillon was losing subscribers en mass, Ben Avery and lemonparty have flourished.
Aside from Ben Avery, Lemonparty is also hosted by Devan Costa and Jace Avery. Devan Costa is a stand up comedian known for his comedy sketches and his association with Tim Dillon. Jace Avery is the brother of Ben Avery, and he is also a stand up comedian. Devan Costa also hosts his own podcast called Hate Watch.

I was a lemonparty fan until Ben's brother Jace Avery sent me sexually threatening messages via the patreon app.
Apparently its happened to alot of members.
Still worth subscribing to for a couple of months though.

I was a fan of lemon party until Jace bashed my grandma's head in with a hammer. Couldn't listen to the podcast the same way after that
I was a Lemon Party fan until Jace Avery came up to me at Santa Anita Mall and asked if I wanted to go bug chasing with him
what's wrong with that? I used to love catching lightning bugs when I was a kid.
It turned out to be so far beyond my expectations. Easily my latest favorite podcast. And of course Devan led me to Hate Watch, another Patreon worthy pod! So glad Ben found his bliss.

I used to really like this podcast till I bumped into Jace and Ben at a bar and they forced me at gunpoint to drink booze off the floor.

How do you know he was fired? I’m pretty sure Tim said either on his podcast or the Patreon that he had actually offered Ben a lot of money to stay but that he wanted to do his own thing and not just be the guy who laughs in the background for the rest of his life.
Maybe you know something I don’t, but if he wasn’t actually fired you might wanna pin a correction in the comments…
Ben said he was fired in a reply to a tweet where someone was talking shit to him. I don't remember the exact wording but you might be able to find it if you look... So I don't know for sure if it's true but that is what Ben said

Ben Avery’s new podcast made me realize why Tim didn’t let him talk.
But I will admit Tim’s show has gone down in quality since the split.

yeah because he would've stolen the show away from tim. quite obviously picked most the topics for tim to talk about too, thats why his show is so boring now

Also it's not as hard to gain subs when u used to be attached to a bigger influencer and ur starting from scratch. The 0 to like 10k is gonna b easier than if no one knew who u were. Or if ur already tim dillon who's trying to grow from 500k to a million
I mean, for sure if Ben and Devan hadn't been known from the Tim Dillon show, lemonparty would have probably zero patrons right now. But that doesn't mean that they don't have fans that love the show. But we'll see over time if they keep growing or not.
yeah that's a fair assessment form both you in my opinion.....I guess only time will tell. I wonder what the stats are from the recovery of Tim's drop in views when Ben left 🤔

I enjoy LP and even joined the patreon. Tim Dillons podcast doesn’t feel the same but I should check it out again just to see if its my bias.
I've seen some people say that Tim is starting to be more entertaining again, but idk really. I haven't listened to him in a while.
I enjoy Lemon party more than Tims recently. It's very surprising to me the show quality of Tims has gone down alot but Id say Lemon Party is the top 3 podcasts for me being Lexfriedman, Mat and Shane secret podcast and Lemon party...its hilarious
I saw some comments saying Tim's show has started to get better again, but idk how true it is.
@@iandecent his show never got bad. He just did a lot of interviews to bridge the gap of Ben not being there. Now he's back to mostly ranting by himself and it's great.

His EP calling for a nuclear war to set us on the right path is great. You obviously don't watch his stuff, so it's not like you would know

@@iandecent when ben left i realised that what i enjoyed of the show was two buddies having fun... the hatewatch to me is the best, more than lemon party because the boys in the hatewatch are way more tightly knit as a friend group

We'll see how it goes. They'll either continue to grow, stagnate, or maybe even start to lose patrons over time. I think they have a solid trajectory at the moment, but I could be wrong.

Man, i love Jace and Ben, but with Devan in the mix, they really just copy Devan's style of comedy. They all do the same ironic voice that Devan does when hes making fun of someone stupid. And i like Devan's comedy style, but its too fast paced to listen to for a long period of time. Which his energy does take over the podcast alot of time and they talk fast and dont give time to develop the bits.
I haven't watched another podcast since Lemonparty started (paused this video at 0:00 to come and say that and leave)

I unsubscribed to Tim Dillon. Love the guy but it immediately went downhill. Lemon party and hate watch are the best podcasts out right now.

Lemon party is great. It's my second favorite podcast after the Tim Dillon show. Now. It's edgy and sometimes retarded but I do get a sitting in a room with friends vibe more than other podcast, I agree the Eric cartman voice is super fucking annoying. I thought I was the only one. And did Ben get fired from the Tim Dylan show? I thought he quit

@@youngpolar I think it was from around the time LP was starting up, but I could be mistaken. But it was in a reply to a tweet (just fyi, that might help if you try to look for it). Someone tweeted at Ben talking trash about him quitting, and Ben replied with something along the lines of "I didn't quit. I was fired".

lemon party is the only podcast worth listening to anymore. podcasting is an over exposed medium that hit its peak maybe 4 years ago and is swiftly falling down hill in cultural relevance
and lemon party is like a really really good band jamming out on the titanic as it sinks into the ocean…
A lot of podcasts these days aren't even really "podcasts" in the classic sense. Look at something like Andrew Shulz Flagrant podcast or H3H3. They got full on studio set ups on par with television shows. Why do we still call these things podcasts?

when I read comments about lemonparty outside lemonparty's own subreddit/discord, I see a pretty even mix of comments like yours and ppl that think it's the best thing since c-town. It's definitely divisive.

@@cj-we3jf I agree with you, but lemonparty has some ride or die fans. Part of it could be because Ben seems to engage with the fans a lot, but idk really.
@@cj-we3jf I sorta disagree but I get where you're coming from. For me, I think it's the chemistry between the Avery brothers and Devan that makes Lemonparty so funny. It was the same thing for Cum town as well. Now that Stav left and they started The Adam Friedland show, it just feels...off to me. It's a classic case of a popular group of podcasters/infulencers/whatever, removing one person, that then proceeds to throw off the whole dynamic. I get not thinking the humor is very funny though, because it's definitely not for everyone.

Loved Ben Avery on Dillon's podcast and tried watching Lemon Party few times but hate it. I don't find them very amusing. Maybe Dillon lost a great sidekick in Ben but his podcast even on his bad days will always be better than Lemon Party.
I can definitely understand why some people wouldn't be into Lemonparty. I think it's worth checking out for anybody that likes this type of podcast, but it's not gonna be an instant hit with as many people as early CT or MSSP episodes are. But they've already got some die-hard fans, so lemonparty must have big appeal to the right kind of person.
