- iDubbbz has changed. IDubbbz is a hypocrite. At least, that's what his detractors say. But is it true?
In this video, we compare old iDubbbz to new iDubbbz, and try to answer the question, "has iDubbbz changed?"
iDubbbz was once a highly respected RUclipsr. But recent controversies surrounding Creator Clash 2 involving Sam Hyde, Froggy Fresh, and Anisa Jomha have many people saying that iDubbbz has changed.

Do you think iDubbbz has changed for better or worse?
For a once champion of the "Everyone takes their turn" mentality where no one is untouchable and you shouldn't take anything seriously that's said to you online... hes turned into one scared, closed off lil whiny b-. Exactly the same people he used to rail against.

I was not aware of Ian until a few years ago and all I really knew was that he was the n*word f*word guy. Screaming slurs is not cool at all, so in the sense that he's left the 'edgelord' content, he's better. However, he's still pretty insufferable now, just in a different way. Imo what he did to Froggy is the weirdest bitch move.
Worse. He showed that his values lasted exactly as long as they helped him climb the ladder, and then happily turns around to kick the ladder out behind him.
The best part is knowing that it won't help him though. The Sjw's don't forgive or forget these kinds of things, he was better off making a legitimate point with it and carrying his career with the people who understood that rather than throwing them under the bus to appeal to those who refuse to. It just makes it seem disingenuous to both parties, something he only did to make himself popular. A sellout.

Yeah. Setting hyde up, failing, but coming out of it as a decent dude didnt sit right with him. So he ripped off sam for 10k at cc1, and followed that up by projecting his own shadow onto sam and scapegoating froggy, all the while presenting a disingenuous cut and timeline. In short, he's been dishonest in order to facilitate his the process of rebranding for money, no matter who or how he has to throw someone under the bus to do it.

Exactly, Ian literally made Sam lose money. First he tried to set Sam up and didn't want to post the documentary cuz he got pranked, so Sam had to do it first after Ian didn't get back to him (cuz he invested 10-20k into setting up the joke and get a return) and then Ian played the victim. Then Sam spent more then 10k on tickets to CC1(for him and his crew in good seats) AND also the travel, housing, food, etc (which is another 10-20k), for his entire Crew, and then Ian banned him on the day of the event (maliciously, cause he knew he was going to attend way before the date and wanted to make Sam lose money). So again, Ian escalated every single conflict they had and brought real-life (financial) harm to Sam .
Once Ian spat on Sam's face maliciously, Sam started expressing his opinions on Ian, his content and also his theory of why Ian changed (which I think is due to Anisa myself). Sam didn't say anything about Anisa before Ian messed with him.
There are legit brainwashing symptoms in the interactions, the way how Ian puts himself down and Anisa on a podium. Ian has also changed how he experiences reality (by disavowing the rational and principled stances that he had in the past). But this part is of course just a theory..
just forget for a second the edgy side of ian from back in the day.... he was a smart man who wasnt catering to stupid agendas and movements and wasnt a hypocrite.especially he wasnt somekind of a cucklord puppy who defends her mistress and agrees with normalizing of prostitution.
Dude, the ending where he groveled to her was so funny.
well that's the thing. Idubbbz may have been all for normalizing prostitution the entire time. It's just not really something he ever talked about.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention the collaborations with Filthy Frank and the bois in the first segment. I know the days are gone for various reasons, but it also shows off his general enjoyment of the content he made. If you watch those videos and compare them to the most recent uploads, the difference is night and day.
That could have been another “old iDubbbz” point; “he clearly had fun with it!”
His time with Frank and the bois was full of endless laughter and general excitement, while his recent videos give off a vibe of “just end my suffering.”
I actually did consider adding "collaboration videos" to the list. Honestly, I don't remember why I decided to leave it off.
@@iandecent I suppose- in hindsight- that point wouldn’t be as relevant since Frank has retired to become Joji and Max and A4V have gone the podcasting route. I guess my point should be geared more toward the fact that he’s clearly having fun in the videos (especially when you look at the behind the scenes ones) while in his most recent work (including his recent tier list video) he seems like a miserable husk of a man ready to do something drastic just to end it all.

This ian will never change. (Unless offered a significant or insignificant amount of money to do so or if I just feel like it or pretty much any reason really. tbh I'll probably continually change for the worse for the rest of my life.)

"Edgy humor" is also the same excuse that shane dawson and onision used being racist and disgusting people, as "eDgY hUmOr" and guess what? Those were both genuinely racist and shitty people. More recently, I had suspicions about that one illuminaughty chick, Blair, and guess what? she was exposed for being shitty. I doubt the trend stops with Ian aka idubbbz.

You’re throwing out the baby with the bath water here. Shitty people hide their behaviour behind all kinds of valid things that might take the heat off of them. Mental health issues are also often used as a manipulative way to garner sympathy from a critical audience. That doesn’t mean mental health issues as a whole are invalid.
He changed and people just cant accept it and move on. Its like the people still upset over Stav leaving cumtown. You cant expect someone to force themselves to be miserable for your own entertainment. Move the fuck on, who cares about his wifes booty pics? Just dont look at them if they bother you so much. I would love to see iDubbbz as a guest on Stav's podcast, although I fear that iDubbbz might get eaten depending on how long it's been since Stavros had a gyro.
There's changing and then there's treating your old audience like crap.
Joji actually matured and moved on from his old content where as Idubbbz has just became a sad man.
If he was a hypocrite he would still act like the old iDubbbz and then attack other people for doing the exact same thing. He just changed like people often do, seems like he grew tired of the edgy persona he had created and wanted to move on but people feel entitled to his content and wants him to keep doing the stuff *_they_* like instead of the stuff that he wants to do. Nice timing on posting this two hours before he posted his own video about it haha!
Edit: Also I think you missed the point with that "kid" he responded to, Ian basically just said "did you think I was cool?" and then proceeded to call himself uncool, that was a self deprecating comment and not a jab at his viewers. He didn't say "you're stupid for liking my videos" or even insinuate anything close to it, he just dissed himself and asked if he really looked cool running around in a cop outfit.
