Micheal P is the most accurate representation of 2006-era RUclips.
Yeah I wouldn’t say accurate. Most people in this genre misspell every word like theyre fuckin sped. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a person misspell THAT much in the early 2010’s. Other than that I really love the videos in this genre, makes me reminisce a lot.
The fact that he never breaks character really makes you think... is it even a character?
lol I've noticed the thing with spelling too. It makes sense for Micheal P, but I think misspelling is for sure overused by most mock nostalgia tubers.

yeah he's been an inspiration to many. It's cool to see all these smaller channels doing the mock nostalgia thing. It's a movement.

His dedication to the character is hilarious and frustrating as hell. He is master of his craft, completely staying in the same realm of bs the whole time, constantly talking over you like an excited kid and steering the direction of the convo whole time. Now were you aware he was gonna be in character the whole time? Because wow, just wow. Dude is dedicated to this insane lore and persona. Also massive respect for taking the time to dive as deep into this as you are Ian.
He never broke character at any point even behind the scenes as we emailed back and forth to set this up. We actually had to use Skype for this conversation, because (presumably) Discord and Zoom don't exist yet. If I didn't know any better, I'd think Micheal P really is living in like 2011 or something.

1:02:45 There was one Micheal P video I recall watching in 2018, it was in 60fps and the thumbnail was Micheal’s face stretched out. I don’t remember much about it (not even the title), but I think it was related to upload frequency/motivation because I recall seeing comments telling Micheal not to strain himself out.
