Testing takes so long, but is so important. This is one reason why I completely enjoy you videos for the suggestions and recommendations of wick sizes. Also, your clean drama is bit funny too. 😊 Thank you for another great video! Take care 👍👍
I already had the jars and the wax so I ran to your website and ordered the wicks. Fast shipping was amazing! I hope to start testing these candles tomorrow. Thank you so much for your videos! ❤
Really nice review! Still haven’t had a chance to test these yet, but of this collection, my favorite (ootb) has to be the “White Oak & Vanilla” as well! …Also, it’s funny you posted this video today, as Candle Science literally just dropped yet another new collection of Fragrance Oils today, this time, a 7-Piece Year-Round collection! (I’m assuming they’ll probably be sending you a set for testing!) Have a great one Wade! - ✌🏻🐇
First I am so thankful I came across your channel. I have learned so much.I don't know if it's been asked previously I wasn't really finding any questions in regards to can the jars or containers that are used for the test candles be reused? Meaning that the wax is melted out, jars are cleaned and then reused for testing a new candle.
OMG Wade, I so remember your reaction with that Chamomile Tea, I laughed so very hard again watching this video. I rec’d my wick holders from Norden two weeks ago and they are the best centering devices out there in my opinion, Thanks again
How do you know if a "fragrance is heavy to burn" when wicking? I watch your videos on repeat as I pour candles!! You rule and inspire me to do better!
Thanks! Well a couple ways. One... you can simply weigh to oils. Weigh 2 oils to 4oz for example. Then look at them. Whichever has more volume is a lighter FO snd the one with less is heavier. Also when burning if it's constantly clogging the wick and seems to be tough to burn is often heavier as well.
I usually judge by the color of the oil. Darker seems heavy to me and clogs the wick and I have to reduce (sometimes significantly) the FO %. More clear oils tend to be lighter and easier to wick IMO
Came for the result of the Chamomile tea🤣 I actually ordered the Norden Wick Centering Tools! They shipped out last week and I can’t wait to try them🤩🤩
I'm thinking about trying the passion fruit for sure, love tropical scents. I also need to get some more wick centering tools, this time probably with some wick setters too I'm so glad you advertised them I love them. I like the purple and green colors you have. Great video as always!! 🕯️😁
I did have a good laugh at your reaction to the chamomile tea fragrance and what was funny, I watched another video that was made by Erica from Memory Box Candle on her evaluation of these fragrances and hers was almost identical to yours on that one. I thought she had seen yours first and tried to duplicate it!
Hello Wade, since CS released a new line of essential oils, I hope in the future you will make a video about some of them, and I would also like to know your opinion about essential oils in candles in general.
The chamomile 😅 not testing again , can’t do it 🤣 my poor husband as well, he’s my biggest supporter but , that one nearly made him sleep outside 🤣 unfortunately just tossed everything out , and tested others , I am not a floral lover but Lily of the valley was really pretty definitely surprised, thanks again for another awesome video!
Do you have a video on how you decide which wick to use with which wax and jar size? I have a small leather business and I'm thinking about maybe making a few candles just to see how my customers might like those.
Hey Heat. Most my wicking or testing videos discuss it. But the short answer choose your wax and jar. Then find some wick guides or use my FB group in the description above and peeps will give you some great starting points
As always, I really enjoyed your video. And the timing is great. I just placed my first order for wax. But I'm generally on the fence with fragrance oils, how does one choose when purchasing online. I made the mistake of going to a store front and went hog wild just grabbing everything and inhaling. Gave myself a headache and every oil started smelling bad. I did settle on a bamboo and lotus scent in the end...but man it's not as easy as I thought it would be! Edited to add: would you consider blending the chamomile with another scent(s), like lavender and vanilla?
I Love the dye brown color for your coffee shop selection. I can’t get a nice brown color, I’m very sure is my wax , but… any tip from you I will Appreciated 😋
He makes the candle in the following video ruclips.net/video/JDvwB8rZfck/видео.html video and puts 5 drops of brown and 2 drops of black for these testers.
Yep that is Correct. I mention that in the video and in the description. Especially in terms of wicking. But i use this wax as a baseline for testing all the time so just doing comparative tests to help give people an idea of the scents. A lot of people use the wax too. :)

I love the white oak too . I also made one with the white oak mixed w/ TFC’s vanilla woods . It’s my favorite @ the moment 🥰
Yes!

Anything would be better then by itself. Lol

Thsnks patricia. Try mixing brown and black. ;)
He makes the candle in the following video ruclips.net/video/JDvwB8rZfck/видео.html video and puts 5 drops of brown and 2 drops of black for these testers.
Can you tell exactly what wax you are using?
Yep I mentioned it in the video. ProBlend 600. 😀
That video was hilarious!!! Do you remember what your jar diameters were?
About 2.75"
How long into the candle testing are you showing the candles ?
Various states depending.... I usually say or put it on screen. I may have forgotten though. I usually will show like 1, 2 and 4 hours.
Is it normal for wicks to flicker
I wonder how the white oak and vanilla would be in a diffuser if it’s compatible for a diffuser base
Probably good!
I am new, but doesn’t all this really only apply to your wax? Love my Norden supplies with your link;)
Yep that is Correct. I mention that in the video and in the description. Especially in terms of wicking. But i use this wax as a baseline for testing all the time so just doing comparative tests to help give people an idea of the scents. A lot of people use the wax too. :)
lmbo 🤣! You let your 14 year old out when you first smelled the tea... 😂! loved it!
😆 yes, yes i did. lol
Does anyone know if you have to wait 2 weeks to burn 464 soy wax after you make it? Or is it a preference?
You don't have to. But with some fragrances is beneficial. You will start to get good idea through testing
@@BlackTieBarn thankyou.
Omg I read candy 😂 and cane here to see you make candy so please 😜🙏🏻
🤣🤣🤣 that's awesome!
@@BlackTieBarn 😂❤️
Lmao .... The chamomile 🤣
🤣🤣
Wade I think you need to work on opening up on your feelings you hold a lot back. Try to be more honest about that tea fragrance 😂😂😂😂😂 your so awesome
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The only right way chamomile should be used is as a herbal hot tea with a dash of honey 😂
I 100% agree. Lol
