My 5 year old found this game two days ago and asked if he could get it. He does all of these but yeah, he's 5. He's still doing pretty well though, usually the 3rd most helpful on his team. I've started playing after he's asleep. My first MOBA and I'm LOVING IT! Will definitely keep these tips in mind as I try to improve my game. Thanks!
Biggest mistake I have seen is people not picking nor going in correct lane based on team composition. Most are just picking the same character every time regardless of team composition, going to a lane where the other pokemon doesn't have good synergy with theirs, or jungling with characters that can't properly gank.
All right, this is late, but I have a question: I find myself typically teamed up with players who will retreat on sight of an opponent. The opponents, meanwhile, will mob me 3-on-1 or 4-on-1 and I get annihilated regardless of where on the map I am, and they'll follow me to the respawn area. We wind up losing because the opponents who don't do this are gathering points and scoring them while my teammates who are out on the map seem to spend their whole time getting chased by opponents, never fighting back. How do I deal with these situations?
6:57 I don't think telling people to face check bushes is a good idea, coming from other mobas face checking is usually not recommended since you can get ambushed. Of course depending on the situation face checking could sometimes be a good idea if you have your team around you but usually it's not. Also chasing an enemy isn't always a good idea since their teammates can come and back them up so 1v1 can easily turn to 1v2 or a 1v3.
About #2... another thing ya have to watch out for with fighting at Enemy Goals is Reinforcements can potentially Jump Pad onto you & get free Stuns on ya faster than ya can beat them down, then eventually the Attrition is gonna add up & if ya persist despite that, you're begging to get crushed & end up with sizeable amounts of Points Dropage, & in extreme cases ya even risk giving them a chance to sneak Goals into YOUR Goal Zones while ya can't Contest. Too much doing of this bad behavior can be flat out Gamethrowing. I know how it feels to feel the Bloodthirst... but we must always remember... our first duty is NOT to our Bloodthirst, our first duty is to the Objectives.
People need to check bushes once our team was losing by like 200 points and I was camping in the grass near Zapdos a garchomp saw me and ignored me while he and slowbro fought zapdos allowing me to last hit steal the bird and let our team win the game
Even if I keep reminding my allies to get down to the bottom path, they never come help and then we lose. I’m spamming head to the bottom path for a reason smh
It's because it doesn't say to go to bottom path, it says you're going to bottom path. I made the same mistake and honestly they should change it to go to because it's just taking up space right now.

Hey there, I'm new to unite and was wondering on what to do when you can't score in your own lane... Not when your losing but when your at a stalemate, and no one is helping you push fowards
The second one is mainly for specific Pokemon or for lower ranks. I'm in Expert rank 5 and the latest video on my channel is a game where I mainly destroyed them in their goal zone. You need to learn and take into account your character strengths, weaknesses, if they can escape, if you can escape, your Pokemon level, their Pokemon level, and overall reward. If I can save my goal by fainting a level 9 Zera as Lucario, I would much rather do that then let my goal take the hits so I can faint a level 3 Charmander and a level 5 Pikachu. It's all about perspective.
The mistakes thats been going on every game, Not learning lanes, or greeding your farming and handicapping your teamates(this one happens too much especially when i’m garchomp and my farming is a bit slower compared to others)
Agreed. This kind of goes into map awareness. If your team is no where nearby and you have no clue where their team is or they are pushed into your goal zones then you shouldn't be initiating Zapdos because 9/10 times your team will lose the Zapdos fight that ensues.
For no.2 when your enemy is on a enemy goal zone, this tip will only work if you have about maybe 70%-100% percent of health, so what you can actually do is pretend your running away and when your enemy is far enough then you can attack them, they will fall for it about 60% of the time but this is what i do
How many times I lose games because teammates don't pay attention to callouts or the minimap is so frustrating lmao, I'll be in ranked games and they just bot lane without actually making goal progress.
As someone who plays a lot of moba, I started playing with other people who also know what they’re doing. We went on a winning streak but there was this one match were we got too cocky and ended up camping the enemy at their spawn. We somehow lost the game...? So yeah. @@spykezspykez7001 Alolan Ninetales. It IS a Generation I Pokémon, just a different form and appearance native to the Alola region (which is the Pokémon world's counterpart to Hawaii). But to each their own.
I’m an Ahri main so I am also now playing this. Though absol / gengar are the bomb. I kinda prefer absol, I think it’s easier to counter jungle an enemy gengar with an absol early in the game but am not 100% certain this is a consistent viable strat yet
I had to guide a streamer who had no idea how to play any form of Moba games, He didn't know how to lane, whether to farm or Fight. In the end after guiding him the outcome was great he won 3 games in a row
Points 2-5 are issues that have carried over from other MOBAs. The fighting and not checking minimap especially... I get a lot of people playing this have never played a MOBA before but there is no excuse not using the minimap.
Can I still damage enemies while they're hiding in the bushes and I can't see them? Feels weird to attack at nothing and not know if it's actually hurting them
Another thing is when team up with mid rank tier, all of them want to use speeder/attacker and act to be carry/hero in game. Fighting each other for mob in jungle and just feed the opponent team with complete team set. Lol. End up losing before 5min.
Some of my teammates in ranked doesn’t help at all or they just run away after getting hit once when we both could clearly take down the other mon smh. It’s super fun though but it sucks when you get paired up with people who have no clue with what they’re doing

Another mistake: taking Slam and Block instead of Flail and Yawn and not playing big chungus bruiser Snorlax. He needs no CC, his CC is DEATH SLAPS BY PHAT!
i feel like the comment about experience gains towards the end(jobs on the team?) was potentially wrong and very unnecessary but other than that, great tips!

@@SuperTeeds yeah we’ll see I dont know if its necessary at the launch of the game but maybe later when the game gets a bit more competetive they will. 🤔 cause some pokemon are definately better in striking from the bushes then others.
Thank you, you're tutorial videos are super helpful, as I've never played a Moba before But about the grass thing, as far as I remember it never got explained in-game (or did I miss it?), so that could be the reason why people didn't think of it? I only noticed the grass after my 5th match >.
Yeah, I saw opponents disappear when they walk in, then reappear when they walk out, as well as my auto-targeting pointing into the grass and making damaging sounds. Then I saw that there was an icon of an eye with a diagonal line going through it whenever I'm in the grass, and I realized what that meant.
Do Objectives instead of just ganking? Obviously you have high expectations for something I haven't seen yet in these types of games. :P But to be fair there is probably a lot of young players and I haven't got far in ranked yet so maybe I'll be nicely surprised.
I always stick with any of the furry Pokémon and snorlax because as an eledegoss I can be safe and heal them I also do what ever they do if they go into battle I do to. If they score a goal I do to.
Besides from this game I only played League of Legends for a month and I'm surprised how much it actually translated to helping me out or maybe it's because I picked Teemo on purpose so the devil's helping me xp
The first mistake of holding on to energy too long feels like a trap for most new players... Like, it seems that Pikachu you mentioned probabaly could've benefitted from that advice, but I'm worried too many new players will hear that and push for goals when they shouldn't and end up feeding kills to the enemy team.
To put it another way: When you have the space and time to dunk some points, you should do so. Generally its much better to dunk it than to hold onto it, no matter how little points you have. Otherwise it builds up and becomes much harder to dunk, making it easier for the enemy team to stop you. A good rule of thumb is after you win a fight, then dunk your points.
other mistake i saw was: not protecting rotom while he goes to the enemies's goal. Me and my team managed to get rotom, "GREAT!" i thought, i start following it (a wigglytuff) to the other team's goal and the rest of my team.... left? they must think rotom is invincible or something, so i got attacked by 3 people of the other team, i died and so did rotom
RESPECT your temmate who marked going to central area/jungle and dont steal their shit! DAAAAAMN I hate that people, they dont even know how this affects the team
I think the reality is that if you're taking the time to watch these kinds of videos, you're a good teammate. You should find people like yourself to play with. The biggest mistake people make playing team oriented games in general be it Smite, Paladins, Overwatch, League or Pokémon Unite is trying to rely on complete out in the wild random people. We're given the ability to create a team. That has the ability to be the most over powered tool at our disposal. You can do everything in this video, and whatever else you've picked up in your years of gaming, but if you're always the person taking the game the most serious on your team, you're not going to have as much fun as someone playing with friends. Make a team.
The exception is games like Splatoon where teaming up with friends is a separate mode and you're given separate rewards. You CAN join friends in ordinary rooms, but the teams will be distributed randomly, and your friends could be on opposing teams. I don't consider this as a flaw though, as the Splatoon games were built mechanically on random teammates. Every mode in the game offers something to do for everyone no matter what build they're using or where on the map they are.
Lol, are you taking the proverbial? :) To be clear, for those who are new to this type of thing, yourself obviously excluded, *DON’T GET KILLED*, if you are dying a lot, figure out what you are doing wrong. Lest you feed the other team with gold and xp... wait, there is gold in this game?
@@spykezspykez7001 There are experience points that help the Pokémon level up to more powerful attacks, speed, and HP. And there's the Aeon orbs as mentioned in the video. If you get KO'd you drop a portion of your orbs around the area where you were KO'd. But there's no gold or in-game currency in the actual match, there isn't an in-battle shop also. But there is in-game currency and shops in the menus outside of battles.
@@spykezspykez7001 Problem is that if this is happening to all of your teammates, or your teammates would rather run than fight, it's going to inevitably happen. Had this happen in a match a couple nights ago where I was playing Crustle, a defender. I decided I'd help out a Snorlax wandering the top path alone. Snorlax would gather points and defeat wild Pokémon as is normal, but if an opponent appeared, they'd run back to the nearest goal of theirs and sit there, not fighting back and would inevitably take out both of us. I soon realized this kept happening and decided the top lane was a lost cause as the other three teammates were all bunched up at the bottom chasing opponents and picking fights. (Somehow, we won that one.)
@@frankysavill1078 neutral camp = wild pokemon in this game. so basically Arkvoodle is saying "there is a setting to have your basic attack button prioritize enemy pokemon with A or wild pokemon with B". i think this setting will be very important to play as optimally as possible.

@@spykezspykez7001 Alolan Ninetales. It IS a Generation I Pokémon, just a different form and appearance native to the Alola region (which is the Pokémon world's counterpart to Hawaii). Trades its Fire-type for the Ice/Fairy combination (not that it makes a difference in Pokémon UNITE).
Personally, I find it to be one of the prettiest Pokémon (and Alolan Vulpix is adorable).
Where is this footage from
The hidden 6th tip in this video: don't fight Teed's ninetails. Unless you crave death.
I need a chat system in this game on mobile and no quick chat doesn't count I want an actual chat system
Maybe that pika was holding the points cuz zapdos makes goals bigger and maybe pika waiting for the final strech to goal
Points 2-5 are issues that have carried over from other MOBAs. The fighting and not checking minimap especially... I get a lot of people playing this have never played a MOBA before but there is no excuse not using the minimap.
Finally 10yrs of playing league has finally paid off
Thank you for the advice 👍
I have 1 tip:when u r hp is low u go in grass and do to base u will get full xp : how is it plz reply
I try to pay attention to the map when I can, but I’m visually impaired and can’t always do so.
Can I still damage enemies while they're hiding in the bushes and I can't see them? Feels weird to attack at nothing and not know if it's actually hurting them
I’m pretty sure if you manage to hit someone they will be revealed to you for a very small amount of time, but I may be wrong
You can. Even over walls if it reaches.
Another thing is when team up with mid rank tier, all of them want to use speeder/attacker and act to be carry/hero in game. Fighting each other for mob in jungle and just feed the opponent team with complete team set. Lol. End up losing before 5min.
your voice is soothing. 😫❤️
Some of my teammates in ranked doesn’t help at all or they just run away after getting hit once when we both could clearly take down the other mon smh. It’s super fun though but it sucks when you get paired up with people who have no clue with what they’re doing
well it just the 2nd day after released, for non beta player
@@hair4571 it just sucks because you would think that the pairings in ranked would be much better. I understand if it’s a quick game but I would’ve been master by now but you points each time you lose when I should be paired with another good player.
Also I see so many new players that don't auto attack during team fights! So important 🙂
Thanks for the awesome tips. I'm new to moba but was able to get to masters in the two day beta. Would love to collab in the future as I'll be streaming too!
Nice!! I can't wait to play ranked :D
Well said. This will help a lot of newcomers!
months later I still catch myself chasing a mon to their goal and battling until I die. lol
Teeds I have a question.
How is it that the turtle objective is always at the bottom side of the map? Shouldn't the map get inverted when you're on the red side? Like in wild rift baron can appear on top or bot depending on what side ur playing?
it gets mirrored vertically not horizontally
Thanks for the great tips. I can’t wait to play this
Best gamer 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Will they implement wards in this game?
I have no idea, would be good though if they did I think! ^_^
@@SuperTeeds yeah we’ll see I dont know if its necessary at the launch of the game but maybe later when the game gets a bit more competetive they will. 🤔 cause some pokemon are definately better in striking from the bushes then others.
Thank you, you're tutorial videos are super helpful, as I've never played a Moba before
But about the grass thing, as far as I remember it never got explained in-game (or did I miss it?), so that could be the reason why people didn't think of it?
I only noticed the grass after my 5th match >.
Yeah, I saw opponents disappear when they walk in, then reappear when they walk out, as well as my auto-targeting pointing into the grass and making damaging sounds. Then I saw that there was an icon of an eye with a diagonal line going through it whenever I'm in the grass, and I realized what that meant.
Spending AOS also gives exp which can give an ex lvl lead
Do Objectives instead of just ganking? Obviously you have high expectations for something I haven't seen yet in these types of games. :P But to be fair there is probably a lot of young players and I haven't got far in ranked yet so maybe I'll be nicely surprised.
People try to hold max points to wait for the 2 min mark to double the points....which is ok if you're very close to the last 2 minutes
Thank you for your advice.
Anyone got a discord made for this game? Would love to join
Bump because I want to join too
I’ve made one but I’m not exactly sure how to set it up so I might need some help
@@patricksmith4505 I could join, but not sure if I’d be able to help lol
I started watching your videos because of pokemon unite and love the videos
So I am new 🙂
Aww welcome! Thank you
Your voice is beautiful :) Thank you for all the hints
500th like, less go
other mistake i saw was: not protecting rotom while he goes to the enemies's goal. Me and my team managed to get rotom, "GREAT!" i thought, i start following it (a wigglytuff) to the other team's goal and the rest of my team.... left? they must think rotom is invincible or something, so i got attacked by 3 people of the other team, i died and so did rotom
Can you make a tutorial on how to get assists?
good video :)
Every mode in the game offers something to do for everyone no matter what build they're using or where on the map they are.
one of the beginner mistakes is not working with other teammates when needed help.
Man one the things i hate about this game is Zapdos . It actually makes you lose games especially when you are in the lead like very far in the lead
Nice important tips for the future new players these tips will help a lot
Don’t feed. If you’re feeding, recognise this, and find out what it is you might be doing wrong in your circumstance.
What does this mean? Should I start fasting? Please elaborate.
-A player with Cinderace Holowear
Lol, are you taking the proverbial? :)
To be clear, for those who are new to this type of thing, yourself obviously excluded, *DON’T GET KILLED*, if you are dying a lot, figure out what you are doing wrong. Lest you feed the other team with gold and xp... wait, there is gold in this game?
@@spykezspykez7001 ah, thanks for elaborating.
I'm a casual one, so I don't give a shit if I make those mistakes or not. Just enjoyin' the game in my own merid, and that's all.
What is the basic attack button?
@@arkvoodleofthesacredcrotch6060 what’s a neutral camp like your own like scoring zone ?
@@frankysavill1078 neutral camp = wild pokemon in this game. so basically Arkvoodle is saying "there is a setting to have your basic attack button prioritize enemy pokemon with A or wild pokemon with B". i think this setting will be very important to play as optimally as possible.
Noted
Last mistake: not picking Slowbro to spam Amnesia near the opponents' base to go ??? and BM.
Dont know how she can say that people hold aeos points than saying that people only fight instead of farming
