Was a blast helping out with this video! Bear in mind neither of us got to play the Canadian beta, this is just us giving our impressions and trying to show y'all what an awesome game this is!
I'm Slowbro Enjoyer on the discord if you wish to flame some of the content EDIT: Can't edit pinned comments but I said charizard might be a special attacker, this may or may not be true, we'll see with the full release.
Hi! Just started this game still trying to figure out everything. I did do the tutorials but I'm still kinda super lost on alot of the game. We can communicate with our team? How? And this might be a dumb question how do we know wich 1 is on our team?
Been looking everywhere for a general guide like this. I've never played a MOBA before, and I appreciated the way you phrased descriptions in a way that was detailed enough for people like me who've never played MOBAs, while also creating comparisons for people who are already familiar with the genre.
Agreed, this was exactly the video I was looking for! Never played a MOBA and barely ever played a Pokemon game but something about this game piqued my interest.
Talonflame is probably the character in the game I least vibe with, but it's also one of the strongest Pokemon, so I'm glad one of my teammates will be carrying me with it :D
10 minutes is just too small to really get into the match. I get that its mobile, but other mobile mobas are designed around 15-20 minutes which hits the spot just right. 10 minutes is like right as the match starts to get good, its over. I havent played it yet but I plan to, im just hoping they pull off the 10 minutes in some really cool really unique way that works for the game and I hope it doesnt actually feel too short while playing
Held items dont really change the game much, they're mostly passive effects. Nice to have, and will definitely give you an edge with the right build, but there's much more of a focus on actual gameplay in Unite rather than your build.
CC = Crowd Control. Stuff that prevents the opponent from moving. Examples of hard CC would be stuns, sleep, and knock ups, where as a slow would be soft CC.
All characters can be purchased with either gems (real money) or coins (in-game currency). Some characters will also be available for free as rewards for various things, such as login bonuses, completing missions, etc. There are no Pokemon that are only available via real money, and I don't think they'll ever add anything like that. So overall, you CAN use real money to speed up the unlock process for characters, but all characters can be obtained without spending any real money.
Only so few pokemons? Like 6 pokemons available per rotation? mobas should have atleast 100 heroes. I thought Hots was dumbed down version but this wins the prize.
@@Leinbaum This isn't an RPG, this is a MOBA. Completely different style of game. You're comparing apples to oranges, balancing a MOBA with 150 characters on release is basically impossible.
Some folks played the beta, and other folks have played other MOBAs before. When I say "beginner", I mean, just jumping into the game with no knowledge. Some people may have experience from similar games, or from reading things online - this video assumes a complete empty slate on the part of the viewer.
@@Technovoid Yeah I just thought that since people had very little time to play the beta they might not be good enough. Also 9:42 I’d use Greninja anyway.
Not a single player in thise video used any of the next things : -Sidestepping -Kiting -Orbwalking Geuss I'll wait untill the next meta to try this out :D
Yeah the stress test players were really bad- a lot of first timers to mobas but once you get to high expert/ low vet people start getting a lot better.

Also can you accidentally hurt your own team mates?

The moment I heard the words "He's Yasuo" used to describe Cramorant my body was immediately filled with *Immense Fear*
even tho Pikachu has the Yasuo ult in his moveset.
This is the most comprehensive beginner's guide about the game that I've seen yet. 👍
I hope it was helpful! Cant wait to start playing for real this time!
This is the first video I see about the game since the announcement but I already feel I have a good grip on it thanks to you two. Good job!
We're both glad to hear it was useful! If you've got any lingering questions I would be more than happy to do my best to help answer them!
you can never go wrong with leftovers in any form of pokemon
Super enjoyed the break down. Subscribed so I can catch more content.
Really glad to hear it, hope to see you on the stadium! The beta was super fun and we are now literally weeks or days away from the full release!

Big hype! I shall return for more unite content!
Potato... So happy to see Wigglytuff as a damage support. I can't wait to bring the fight to everyone.
The moment I saw that tier list appear I was so ready for you to piss off everyone in the comments.
10/10 would pick friendship again.
Wait a second...Absol is just Kha'Zix? Excellent.
Awesome vid guys. 5 hours before nintendo switch launch. Can't wait.
I am fairly new to moba. And this game was a place for me to start. It helped alot. Thank you. Oh Potato:)
Potoooooooo!!
Anyway, I think it's time to be a Talonflame 1-trick, thanks for the recommendation!

Absol can be good if you can power level at the beginning
why did crustle get shafted on the tier list, his icon is the only non-cute one
That's on Slowbro Enjoyer, he made it I think. Can't believe this dude :(

Is it dull without items? I played league for a few years. The different item builds made it feel complex and fun.

i just downloaded pockemon unite thankyou for the tutor
This was very helpful thanks guys
This is a great guide!
A new moba to play the heck out of
Your using terms I don’t understand. “Cc “?
CC = Crowd Control. Stuff that prevents the opponent from moving. Examples of hard CC would be stuns, sleep, and knock ups, where as a slow would be soft CC.
@@Technovoid oh that you. When u say “slow”. Do u mean slow character?
@@Saidnoone Slowing as in slowing another character down, reducing their movement speed.
I wanna try this game out it seems fun and way less stressful than league

League of Legends started with 40 characters, and is now past 150+. This game is starting with 20, it just came out, give it some time.
@@Technovoid Why? Original Pokemon Games didnt start with 20 pokemons but 151.
