As a motorcycle enthusiast, looking at the current market offerings i am very happy with the options available to choose from. And by god, all the manufacturers have done their best and delivered also. I just hope big brands like harley-hero, bmw (needs to bring in a new face for g310gs), Triumph -bajaj, Aprilia should bring good products in adv segment.
Cheers to himalayan team, for bringing out such an awesome product.
    Ride safe and god speed.
P.s. might have to sell my softail heritage 114 and switch segment to start a new adventure with the new Himalayan 😂

Why not put the taller windscreen and better seat on the standard model already? Also, they have another set of mirrors to replace the jittery ones that come as standard. All these accessories cost far more than what they are actually worth. The fact that RE has released the same as soon as they launched the bike only shows that RE deliberately did not change these because they want to make money at the cost of customer discomfort. This is a very cunning strategy from RE. Already the bike costs a bomb and RE wants us to shell out more for upgrades that should ideally be standard fitment. Very disappointed.

Again an awesome review 😊😊❤. Two take aways:
    1) This bike is definitely not for someone who can afford only one bike which can fullfill both city and touring needs. This is not city machine considering low end torque and weight to maneuver.
2). The 'inconsistency' which you mentioned is something a very scary thing. So then it's pure luck to get a 0 issue bike from factory 😊. Shocking to here that earlier bike you rode, had different power figures.

If I sell the 411 and buy the new one I will have to invest another 150k minimum. Then I question my choice and wonder would it be wise to invest in the new one because of the hype and marketing or shall I invest that much money in fuel and tour on my current 411 OG Himalayan, someone please answer this for me.

    Nice one Sagar..
Have you asked them about tubeless tires availablity on a 440cc engine.
At High speed on highways what would happen if tyre bursts??
Also 10% junta would fo such extreme off roading, rst would be happy with weekend deives on highways...
And if tyrew punctures then you'll probably sell the bike next day...
    Who does all this off-road???
And this bike is probably targetting age group of 30 - 50 year old...
Why would a College kid buy this
Above 30. Years we need stability and assurance of care free ride...
Such cheap tactics of getting ppl to buy first, then introducing tubeless version is not expected from RE whome ppl have loved over the decades.
Be honest and share your price..
    Dont😮 compare with competition

    Sagar boss,
Good job keep on going. Mention more about mechanical improvements which can be done for reliability and durability.
But the real bikes are big capacity multicylinder bikes to be manufactured in India. We should urge all the Japanese manufacturers to setup their factories for their motorcycles to be manufactured in India so that we Indians will get more technical know how (R&D, innovation, engine design, metallurgy, rigorous testing) and the main breakthrough in race development.
Also for vehicles manufactured in India we will get the tax benefits of made in India and a much lower sticker price for many Indians to enjoy big capacity, high performance premium motorcycles.
Common we all should push International manufacturers to make their big bikes in India.

You recommending organic breka pads for Himalayan for off roads and better break pads(Sintered break pads) for scrambler, break pads can't satisfy both the terrains. But this organic brek pads helps scrambler to easily apply brekas in non road condition so it's the advantage of it. Not the problem but on highway you need to apply breks little early because they don't take bite like sintered break pads

You're taking corners on it completely differently than a road bike, why is that? Can we do it the contentional way?
On the 400X, isn't the weak braking coming because of organic pads (and not the tyres)?

    • @SagarSheldekarOfficial
      @SagarSheldekarOfficial  8 месяцев назад +1

Yes! Better to lean the conventional way because counterleaning is a lot riskier. You see me doing this to highlight the stability the longer wheelbase provides even at such high leans. Before the brakes I would change the tyres on the scrambler because you can already feel the abs kick in under hard braking which is a sign that the tyres don't have enough grip to put the braking power down. With sintered pads you will just trigger the abs earlier which won't help you stop better

Sir , a very frank question to you ..
i am from Bengal, a few months later i will be heading towards ladakh , and i have to spend a lot of time on the highways as you know, i know New hamalayan is very capable of off roads, but is it comfortable pn the highways for a long time?

Awesome!!! Mad respect 🫡. That settles it. I’m buying one. One question though, is the Himalayan still the best Value for Money option that one can buy? A complete package in all worlds - city, touring, off-road? And what’s your favorite colour in the offerings Sarge?

When you are not riding it will feel top heavy but once you start moving you don't feel the weight as much. The bike you rode prolly was running low on tyre pressure

Thanks for the review. The low end torque and having to constantly feather the clutch is probably the main reason I wouldn't buy this bike. The suspension and long distance riding on the other hand are the pros though as you say the 390 edges it out there.
