    Does accesory pigment have chl a???
    Its only in RC

    • @katharinehubbard5043
      @katharinehubbard5043  3 года назад

      The reaction centres only use chlorophyll a, but the light harvesting complexes contain chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and carotenoids. These accessory pigments pass on their energy to each other through resonance energy transfer, eventually passing the energy to the reaction centre chlorophyll a molecules which undergo photochemistry. Hope that helps!

    Just imagine if a cell had a cloraplast and a mitochondria. They would be passing oxygen atoms back and forth.

      Lol I knew that at one time. I wonder why I forgot. I usually don't forget many things about biology. (But I have had some meurcury poisoning that has took a lot of my cognitive functions away, healing now)

      Just because you can't understand it, doesn't mean the pronunciation is bad.
