I don't like Claudia, but in her defense, the manager jumped in without context. The family already didn't like the third dress and Claudia was talking about why the first two dresses worked better.
Yeah, the manager is just reading into this in the context of Claudia's struggles as a consultant overall. To be fair, I think other more successful consultants would keep it moving faster once everyone hates the dress and get them hyped up for the next one. Wasting time on why this one is bad just puts everyone in a bad mood, or the bride can interpret the comments as attacks on her body or something.
the manager did not actually contribute anything to this appointment other than undermine the employee, the dress was already picked by Claudia so what's the point of her getting involved and taking credit for it
I know, I don't love Claudia, but she had said the same thing about other dresses in the room showing off her waist better than the one she was wearing. Also, how often does a bride buy a dress after trying on 4? I wouldn't expect to buy one that quickly.
That was awkward ..interupting just made the bride doubt the consultant ..They want sales fine ..but a bride spending big bucks should not be pushed or made to feel bad forv wanting time to think ...
Claudia's biggest mistake in all her sales is that she literally gives the bride reasons to not buy that day. Don't talk yourself into a hole 😂 Closing is an art form
How awful to be followed and judged by your boss while also being filmed. I didn't enjoy this episode because I was left feeling bad and embarrassed for Claudia. I feel to air this was unprofessional and inappropriate.
Thank you. People are calling her arrogant in the comments and all I can see is someone trying to do her best and exude confidence in a very competitive and ruthless sales environment. If she said she was bad at her job and needed help like everyone in the comments wants her to do, she would have lost her job immediately.
@@purple-kp6mk I think they dislike her already from other episodes, but in this one I think she was headed in the right direction with her bride even if she didn't close the sale. She gave the same advice as the manager as far as the dresses were concerned and why should a bride not take time to think about such a purchase after only trying on 4 dresses?
Do you have a brain to understand how shooting happens? It is a long time preparation, the channel spends lots of money, a huge professional team works on it, brides and families are invited from different cities or countries. They just can't drop the show because a bad salesperson feel embarrassed. Also she knew she was on an international tv show
@@purple-kp6mk No one cares if you're trying. You are not a baby who fell trying to walk, yet the parents clapped. It is a professional life and she has to do what she's paid to do
Double standards: Claudia's Bride not commiting to the dress was presented as a very negative experience; however, when the second Bride didn't purchase the gown right away, it was not commented at all.
The second bride looked really lovely in that final dress- she looked so happy and her Dad was such a sweet man. Hope she decided to buy it in the end.
Claudia could have closed this deal if she said " you will always have second guesses, and sometimes when you find the one you love you stop looking. Do with a dress that you do when you find your man."
claudia is far too self-absorbed to afford offering actual attention to another human, (purposely pulling dresses she states knew would be a big flop.....why?)
I don't think the consultant is rude or arrogant, she is just a little bit akward and not the best fit for this role - good consultant should sense what bride will like and what not, her choice of dresses is always so random.
Claudia is a newbie, and not very good at the job. She thinks she knows better than anyone else. You will see other sales reps approach managers with a request for suggestions, but NEVER Claudia. Her sales numbers were always lower than the other reps. She needed to be fired.
An unlimited budget bride and she still didn’t manage… this is rough… why not put her in your most elegant dress you have so the bride gets smitten! First bride did not love those dresses, even if she said she did, she was not impressed , otherwise she would have left with the one she truly loved and not sleep on it.
The second bride's dresses were just over the top, maximalist, all that bunched fabric is so unappealing. Definitely a different era in dress design from today.
The second bride only liked that dress because she stepped up to the platform which made her look taller that she is. The first dress was better on her but she was comfortable and loved her dress.
2:38 Those horizontal lines aren't very flattering, plus the lace at the top of the bust is supposed to stand up but within a couple minutes it's flopping over. I thought she looked better in the second dress at 1:02.
You lost the lottery pick of consultants when you get Claudia. From her whining voice to her opinions that the bride and family never seem to agree with, she sucks big time.
Obviously you can’t close every sale! When you’re talking thousands of dollars for hopefully the only day in your life that you will be a bride, I’d want to first try many different styles and THEN when I know the style, I want to try on a number of dresses in that style. I’d say 10 dresses MINIMUM. And if I got a pushy salesperson then I’d never buy from them.
I don’t think it was the manager pushing for more sales as much as they were trying to figure out why she wasn’t selling anything. She alienated customers and was condescending and rude.
Claudia didn’t read the room. Let them speak. Show them what they ask for and let them comment. Elyse does have a point that she’s not paying attention to the family and their reactions which closing sales is all about. She doesn’t need to talk about the dress. You are there to find her what she likes, not sell her something she isn’t in love with. Elyse did undermine Claudia though. The manager should support the consultant and should be helpful. I also don’t care for that dress the first bride picked. But it is so discouraging as a salesperson when someone says “I don’t think I’m ready today.” Like that hurts.
As someone who works in luxury sales, there’s a lot of issues with how she came about this. She should have listened more carefully to what the bride is looking for rather than pointing out what’s wrong herself. However on the customer view, I can see why she didn’t immediately jump to “yes” choosing the gown on the first stop is very hard to do. You’re scared to make the wrong decision. Have to separate from controllable vs uncontrollable.
Claudia is the personality that doesn't let anyone else in. For the purposes of this show, I think that she is a plant to show the negativity of a negative sales person
Kleinfeld's gowns are way overpriced and the store is run like a boot camp. The pressure for sales from management ruins the entire experience. How could Claudia get a fair break as a new employee with the bosses breathing down her neck and undermining her efforts? Diane is another consultant who seems always so stressed about making the sale. The entire atmosphere is very unappealing. Randy is the only one that seems professional and helpful. I think Gok in the UK store plus Jo and Al in Essex are so much better at what they do. Their gowns are also much more beautiful and reasonably priced!
The manager blew it! She heard part of a conversation and jumped in when she shouldn’t have. Nobody liked that dress and Claudia ONLY picked it because Granny wanted sleeves. Claudia had already picked the dress that became the favorite yet Elise gave her ZERO credit for that. I’ve seen Elise before and she isn’t a good manager. She doesn’t teach the consultant anything nor does she ask why the consultant chose the dresses she did. Had she done that, she would have seen immediately what was going on.

The Father of the Bride who is wearing a suit to her bridal appointment shows how much he respects the entire experience, simply priceless!

I would agree, she is so full of herself and it’s Claudia’s show and not about the bride. But she think she is so wonderful that she is untrainable

The 2nd bride is so sweet & respectful. What a great person.
Claudia is so full of herself that she forgets it is all about the bride to be.
She's the only consultant who is very full of herself, not a team player and has the audacity to get offended by fashion directors and sales managers.
Two consultants, both unable to make a sale. But the way each dealt with their client's wishes was so opposing
First girl didn't like the dress and it showed. If she comes back that would be surprising. When they love it they buy it. When you know you know
Glad she left without the dress...I wasn't a fan at all.
Claudia is my favorite it’s very entertaining watching her arrogant attitude when she really is clueless about wedding gowns 😅
Exactly. And EVERY appointment she pats herself on the back for making an amazing selection, then sells nothing lol.
Arrogance would totally put me off.
She makes too many excuses and she knows it😭
