  • Finally a gem among simulators that deals with small fpv drones. I don't get too excited about big boy 5 inch racing ,because micro, toothpick and whoops appeal to me. Of course I like all flying things.
    This simulator is not perfect of course (yet) ,but being early access it is a great experience!
    I'm a noob pilot but I enjoy flying ;)

    i took one of the standart drones and it flew verry similiar to my uruav 65 i think its a really good sim for practising tinywhoops but i am a bit dissapointed that they didnt manage to just add it to the orriginal liftoff

      It would indeed have been easier to add this micro part to the Liftoff, as it is in the Velocidrone for example. And you could have flown the tiny quads on more tracks. I've been trying to fly micro quads in Liftoff lately which reminds me more of a "half brick", very old models to choose from unfortunately (which are very heavy).

    Liftoff micro drone is good but soo drifty and hard to make a sharp turn which make it a bit harder to control then a Real whoop.

      Hopefully the physics will be refined. Personally, I'm happy with it as it is, I like the well-designed and good-looking maps the most. A wider quad selection would be nice. And one or two outdoor tracks e.g.: a small garden or playground would be nice. For those who haven't flown live, this simulator is good for learning the basics in my opinion (as is almost any simulator). In reality, every quad behaves differently anyway, you have to get used to it. Especially outside when the wind is blowing, a small copter "slides" in the air. Indoors, everyone goes wall to wall at the beginning anyway (at least that's how I started). ;)

      @@TargetFPV yeah they have to especially for tinywhoop ... and i hope they will add a new map with moving object

    Can you modify the quads like in the base game? (changing props an motors)

      Hello! Yes you can replace parts like motor, prop and frame. I imagine (and hope) that there will be more variations in later updates.

    I play liftoff for 100hours but yesterday i play micro drones and it feels like i fly for the first time…. So hard to control

      Micro quads a little different things, but you can adapt after few practice. I often fly velocidrone and micro drones Vica versa after some warm up. Not as hard I think.

      I also play velovidrone and i still can fly the champion tracks but in my speed😅

      @TargetFPV  9 месяцев назад +1

      There's nothing wrong with not going at a crazy speed on the track, in fact, the wise men say it's hard to fly slower. Micro drones are closer to me than other simulators because they fly micro quads. Of course it's still not perfect ,maybe it never will be ,but even with a BetaFPV literadio1 you can fly in it (of course less precise control). But it helps a lot to fly in a simulator for sure , at least you can go more daring and adventurous ;)

    Awesome video! What the rates after you modified?

    • @TargetFPV
      @TargetFPV  2 года назад

      Thank you! I usually set it at around 1.40 or 1.60 on whoop (if I'm flying in a tighter area). For yaw I set it about 10 more (1.50 or 1.70). But this is an individual preference, everyone has a different preference. My 2.5" - 3" quads are usually with P 1.20 R 1.20 Y 1.30 rates .

    Hi. I can fly in liftoff in acro mode without problem, but I can't fly good in liftoff micro drones. It feels tooo drifty. I saw Joshua flew in level mode, but I can't believe my eyes how you can control this drone in acro mode. It seems imposible for me. How many hours of practice it took to fly like this in this sim? Is time of practice in big liftoff counts here? I have 60 hours in liftoff and < 10 in micro drones and dont feel I'm near the click at all. Can you give me any advice?

      Hi! For me, it helped me a lot to start practicing indoor acro in my narrow hallway.I raised my rates up to around 1.4-2.0 because I need faster reaction and correction in a tighter space (maybe it's just me). Now I try to use 1.6 rate with 0.70-0.75 super rate and 0.10 expo. A little throtte expo 0.40-0.50 may also help. But everyone has a different good setting, I use a narrower range with sticks. The simplest answer is lots of practice + don't give up. Sometimes I run into a manoeuvre 50 or more times, but I still do it :D Anyone can learn it, it shouldn't be impossible! ;) There is always something to practice or learn new tricks, that's what motivates me still. This sim is still in early access and far from perfect. The drifting is noticeable indeed. I use a faulty FC that I connect to with the remote "wireless" and feel less lag (in the control). However, when connected via usb it behaves completely differently for me (as if it is laggy).

    Hi! What control should i buy to play that game? I want a cheap option

      Hello! I can only give you a couple of tips because I don't know the current radios, I have a jumper t8sg plus which is not a modern one. Many people recommend the BetaFPV literadio 2 SE or 3 ,because it is good for simulation and later it can be used for quad. Maybe you should buy ELRS version ,because this protocol is very common nowadays. Mode 2 is used by many people, it is the assignment of the sticks (left side is the throttle up/down). You should check oscarliang.com , because there are quite extensive reviews and product tests. The cheapest is probably the BetaFPV literadio 1 ,but it is quite toy-like ,of course it might still be usable for a simulator. It is worth asking several people what they recommend, don't let my opinion be the deciding factor!
