Well at 55 years old I got my first PFV racer, omg its so dang fast, but i've crashed it already over 25 times just trying to learn . only broke 1 arm so far so waiting for parts to fly again , love it!
@The Equaliz3r you can get an entry level setup with just about everything you need for around $600. Might want to put away another $200 for replacement parts though for the first couple months. And each prop cost about 75 cents lol
Glad to see the RR brand mature into what I’m watching today. The crew seems way more relaxed and comfortable together. Much thanks to Drew’s crew for driving our FPV culture into a more inclusive, less arrogant expression of the hobby. The change is overdue. Also, Zoe’s flying is on point. That is all.
what a beautiful shot at 13:39, drone in the background, woman in the foreground concentrated on the flight! By the way, I think it's nice to see that this hobby brings so many different types of people together.
I love the idea for the Racer 4. Its like with Nascar. All the specs force the pilots to have to be close to each other, and the frame itself, while not awful, probably isn’t the best either, despite the hot setup. Its all about showing off the skill, and making it an experience for fans! I learned that from the Micheal Rollins interview with Alex. It kinda makes we want to see spec racing for all kinds of RC, but much slower. Todays Plane Pylon racers, and even some car tracks, are stupid fast,
I think this is the best rotor riot video so far. Showing every aspect of this amazing hobby. The building part, testing and freestyle having a good time with friends, sharing experience with more experienced pilots. And finally the competing part at world class level with big events like the DRL. F*** yeah Rotor Riot team rocks !
Drib's piloting style adaptation to the racer4 which is new to him was amazing..he could flow no problem and the inverted yaw was sick! 10:51 it flowwwzz indeed
I love you guys sqaud you guy are like the most diverse group of people iv come across in ah long time oh yeah the big girl in your crew is 🔥 oh weeee👍😘🥰
I actually like that it's flight characteristics depends on angle also not just thrust so now you actually have to think more about actually flying orientation of the craft to leverage its mobility. You're almost actually flying now not just thrusting around.
Zoe you look gorgeous! Im very happy to see you are taking good care of yourself. You look happy also. I sincerely hope this opportunity you got with RR helps your channel grow.
The motors are 2510 stators - realistically you do need 25mm or larger stators to spin 7" props adequately, which makes those absolute beasts of motors. Like everbody else has said - Zoe absolutely crushed it on that thing.
what a great video! So extremely enjoyable over-the-top adrenaline rush! You all have great senses of humor and I'm going to upgrade my drones to these types so I can feed my Need for Speed! love it
Cricket explored the sticks exactly how I wanted to. LSF brought it high for the excellent views, then went for the tight moves, but the quad threw its weight around and gave a real sense of its physicality. Zoe's excitement came through, and her session was a joy to watch. Drew made a heavy-ass quad look graceful. And then Vanover came and really showed everyone who was boss. This was exactly what a Rotor Riot episode should be: a bunch of pilots with truly unique approaches and styles who can make five runs of the same experience seem 100% new and fresh every time another one picks up the transmitter.
Loving seeing y'all play around with a heavy quad. I've been building heavier recently since Zoe's Unicorn frame can take it, and I'm all about the huck :P Also, Zoe's dress is amazing
DRL is another world, thank you Team Rotor Riot for bringing some of this amazing segment. I felt a bit like a caveman, but at the same time I was much more stimulated to move on ...
I was there at the race. Knows exactly where that bando building is. I am a fan of rotor riot, wish you folks would have done a road trip Through Arizona.I live around the mountains and beautiful rock faces.
I built an entire computer from scratch in 3:26 during a tri county skills competition. I got bronze. A drone usually takes longer due to the soldering. Building a drone in 5 minutes is insane. I hope that kind of snap together tech gets better and more standard. I love standards.
Having bigger size is definitely desirable for the spectators, I get that. I just find it interesting that unlike other major racing leagues (F1, RB Air Race, Moto GP, Etc) DRL doesn't push the limits when it comes to weight. Making heavy-a__ drones their standard is a backwards way to go IMO. Setting an example of performance based on power-to-weight ratio has been the defacto approach to pushing say, the car industry to improve its technology and designs. 🧐
DJ BIS that’s true, but with these big underpowered quads, it pushed pilots to find the best lines and fly smooth, where with lighter more powerful ones you can just hit the throttle to correct mistakes
@@GTXgb-gt8lz Also, I don't think they're purposely making them overpowered - it's simply what you get when you have a 1.2 kg drone and that many LED's on it. Both those things are required to make drone racing a spectator sport. Which is DRL's primary aim - in this case, making it entertaining for spectators is more important than power to weight ratio. Like, I would love to go watch one of these races, but I wouldn't really care as much about going to a normal drone race if I couldn't also watch with the FPV goggles. It's just a bit boring to go squint just to see these tiny specs kinda move around. DRL has solved that issue.
Looking at 5 people standing there all with goggles on, is so hilarious. We truly have the most nerdy looking hobby.
Mark Bizilj nein non no
I am definitly a nerd definitely lol
i like it being nerdy cause then ppl can look over and be like “what are they contacting aliens or some shit?”
chess
Have u ever heard of gaming my friend
Zoe killed it! First try,
Kraken King - yeah- and was that her power looping those tight palm trees!?
She's an insane 3D pilot, fucking legend.
Zoe!!!!!!!!!!
Like if you’d beat the breaks off Ms. Zoe
FAA killed it completely

Best advice I was given start out on sim
It is never too late to join FPV
You can buy a flying simulator on steam for like 5 usd, that way you can learm faster withouth damaging the actual drone
@The Equaliz3r you can get an entry level setup with just about everything you need for around $600. Might want to put away another $200 for replacement parts though for the first couple months. And each prop cost about 75 cents lol
There's a Tinyhawk Rtf and it was easy to learn
Absolutely fascinating to see behind the scenes of the DRL quads, thanks!

I see where you guys flew every Time I go to school. That wall is massive I’m person. I rip at the big dirt field like half a mile away
Love what Rotor Riot has been doing lately! Great team!

Wow that Matty Flip 14:48 was awesome! You all kill it out there, and the DRL was amazing also! Drone On!™
For me even on 2D @ZoeFPV is killing it.
Wow ZOE was killing it I love the way she fly’s she so versatile!!!!!!!!!
She's an insane 3D pilot, true technical skill.
Good synergy with the new crew. EDIT: Zoe really makes RR legit. No offense to the other pilots, all are great. But Zoe makes it feel OG.
The Jessie P short cameo was awesome. Top notch episode.
Aww Zoe looked so pretty with the hair and makeup.
I just love how the ladies talk tech.
I'm in love. Rotor riot forever woohooo
Drib's piloting style adaptation to the racer4 which is new to him was amazing..he could flow no problem and the inverted yaw was sick! 10:51 it flowwwzz indeed

What is this suppose to mean? She’s always been beautiful.
That was fun, you guys are great fun. Go Captain Vanover
Damn Zoe... go full send why don’t you! 🚀 showing everyone how you got the title of “the queen of fpv”
And you serach for DRL on nbc.com and:
"Sorry, there are no results for "DRL".
Try searching for a show, episode, or clip."
Good job NBC!
Great episode! It was awesome learning more about the DRL drones and what they are really like. It would be sweet to have one just for the RGB!
You are all so talented but daaaaamn Vanover. You are crazy! Big ups!
Wow. The spacial awareness of the pro is stunning.
Lucky kid. All we had was Pong.
Zoes flying is fireeeee ;)
My favorite part is Jessie p at the end 😂😂 shoutout team tiny whoop!!!

I like how Jesse got his cameo at the end there. Way to go Jesse! Looks like it was a lot of fun.
Looks like Zoe's audition for drl went very well 👍👍👍👍👍
i have been looking forward to see you fly this.
I love these drones, make a vid with flite test again pls
And this Is how the Dji fpv drone should look
That chase footage is A+.
Siiiick quad. I wanna buy the Racer 4 street.
I signed up to buy 4 of them, but unfortunately it won't get funded at this rate :(
@@1randyharbin Really..... Damn :/

Great episode, really interesting to see behind the scenes and how the sport as a whole is progressing.
I defiantly want the racer 4 street. Great rip you guys. Thanks for sharing
Cricket, “I’m gonna get so good I’m gonna beat him”
5 seconds into flight - cracks the lens. Lol.
You guys looked like you all had a BLAST!
Such a awesome episode and fun event nice to meet you guys there!
Holy crap- I think Vanover showed you CAN freestyle it👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Kudos to the girls for not crashing it out in the field!
Awesome video!! Thanks for coming out to Phoenix.
TRONS proud of you love your symbol on t-shirt Tron approved
Zoe showed all them RR pilots how to fly. She killed it.
Love havin' the ladies flying in the videos. Good job everybody hands down!
seeing them putting googles and watching each other seems much nerdier than drone doing those moves xD
Zoe flew it like a champ!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I'm definatly even more convinced to stick with my 5in 😉
I just recently been hooked on fpv really new to this but definitely looking forward to flying my own drone
Vanover. Best freestyler in Rotor Riot.
Vanover: I’ve flown maybe 2000-3000 packs through the racer 4
Le Drib: That’s stupid! 😂
Wow I’m blown away 🤙🏾
I'm loving the diversity and inclusion with the new female Rotor Riot pilots. Zoie ripped it!
Cricket was just trying out a new move called "The Corey Tap"
No he just isn't as experienced enough and to cocky. So I would call it the cocky tap.
Antimatter darkmatter
loved seeing the homie Jesse P at the end!
Ooooooh wee! That was fun!
Crazy skills, great content as always. Inspirational👍
Holy Crap!!! I was there!
Oh my god! This is my favourite race drone!
Great stuff, RR gang!!!!
Sick video! I had no idea so many people attended drone races.
Great episode guys
Vanover & Zoe killed it

Drib is the smoothest flowiest pilot. I'm addicted to watching his flights
That looks so much fun
Zoe is awesome. Keep being you.
