  • Hey ya'll thought I'd do a lesson on a few concepts I use to play outside. There are a few beginner friendly ideas, and a few more advanced ideas (the altered stuff). Just a note, with sidestepping, you can use your A dorian (G Major scale) and sidestep up and down with that too. I hope you guys find this useful. Sorry for the quick cuts, I'm pretty terrible at speaking.

    Great lesson,but it’s like most of these lesson over a static backing track. Could you please do an outside video of a chord progression in a rock context?

    more lessons! maybe something on legato/phrasing?

    • @BrianSheu
      @BrianSheu  3 года назад +1

      For legato, I highly recommend checking out Tom Quayle's or Tim Miller's tutorials as they can explain mechanics much better than I!
      I also like Simon Peter King's "A little lesson on phrasing". It's humorous and is a short concise explanation on what makes good phrasing. I'll see if I have time to add some additional lessons on different types of phrasing though.

    Man this sound so great, trting to get this stuff going more in my playing, what gauge string are you using? Finding some of this stuff tricky on 11s atm, are you getting overdrive from a pedal or your computer/plugins?
