I’ve been following your playing when you had less than 10k followers. You are by far the most underrated RUclips Guitarist. You always have great content. Keep up the great work.
Actually, I didn't watch the video long enough to realize that you do go over everything slowly. I stand corrected. You do go on to slow it down and repeat it several times. This is one of the best pentatonic lessons I've ever watched. Thank you. The speed at which you can play is absolutely amazing. You truly have a gift.
I've picked up some really awesome ideas and skills from your channel, but what really blows me away is your attitude of if you just want to like the video and support me that way and take a screenshot of the lesson, says a real lot to me about how dedicated you are to promoting and sharing the instrument to the wider population
Wonderful stuff. That's some playing, not to mention tone, touch and feel. I'll post on here again if I ever get it down to 1/5th of the level of proficiency of yours. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
I've been working on something similar with my own instructor, but mostly to focus on my right hand alternate picking. Using a metronome for timing and gradually building up speed. This is a great lesson. Thanks!
This lesson is very high quality for me and I will try it, thank you and please make more videos like this and with slow version lessons, thank you and greetings from Indonesia
Very cool lick. I think it actually sounds better played a little slower than the warp speed you're playing it at. I really love the sound of that Dorian lick thrown in there. This is the 1st time I've encountered your channel. You've got a new sub. Keep shredding \m/
Great stuff. Touch, tone and feel all superb. Thanks for sharing. Excellent lesson. You know, this could be me in 30 years if I practice every day for 8 hours 🤣
Cool but killer format of Minor Pentatonic with the oscillation of Dorian. Further I request you to share the tone settings with processor's name, what a amazing settings. Plz reply. ....
Bro I;m discovering your vidoes, first saw you from mateo mancuso licks, and I love your videos! you have similar guitar lick taste as me and your videos are super helpful!
Learn the lick from "eyeballing it from the screen." As good as you sound, that was a statement that may very well scare a lot of players away. There is absolutely no way I could "eyeball" that riff and I can sit down and work out Dream Theatre parts. If there is anyone who can, please make a video of you doing it. I'd love to see it.
It is John's fault that I decided to buy my first electric guitar and a Fractal FM9 - at the age of 54 🙄 I think my Nord keyboards are going to gather some dust for a while, as I have a lot to catch up on. Last time I played guitar was about 40 years ago. ‘You are never too old to learn something new’ Nahh, don’t know about this one 😂
Excellent lesson. As a beginner, I would suggest possibly going a little slower. I realize you have viewers with all levels of experience. It's got to be difficult teaching places with high ability, low ability and everything in between. Once you speed up I had trouble following the 9-7-10-7... That's where I got lost. I loved the beginning where you play the first six notes of each shape and progress up the neck. 🙏🕊️❤️
Just start slow, your memory of the pattern will build especially if you know all the notes on the neck. He always puts the notes up, for me it is faster to read those than tablature, but some people are really quick at tab. I started playing way before tab ever came into being, late 70's maybe tab, guitar player magazine i believe helped that one along. I can remember the first tab. I did a copy of eric claptons let it rain, learned it from tab. but see guys play it differently on Ytube.
Awesome run mate. Interesting fingering you've been going on in the 2nd position g, b and e string. I am still trying to figure out what feels the most natural. Also to what extend to use my pinky on pentatonic runs.
What’s the action on the 12th fret if your favourite k-line strat? Less than 1.5mm on the treble side? I assume fast legato playing is easier on lowest action….is strong buzz acceptable for you?
OMG man! Your playing, your tone, the choice of notes, your bends! Impressive
So glad I found John. Loving his Patreon and I am playing more because it’s Very inspiring.
a true master😊

Who is underrating him? Nobody.
@@yksityinenoma7821 If he wasn't underrated, he would have more followers. Seems you don't know what "underrated" even means.
Sooooo he’s overrated? Side rated? Just rated! 😂 10/10!
I was searching for such lesson for my pentatonic runs. Thanks for your lesson🙂

“Send it to your Nan…” Now THAT is the content that brings me MUCH joy!! You’re a true inspiration in many ways Maestro!!

Killer! So good man. Thanks for putting this out there.

That is personally my favorite guitar of yours. That yellow Kline is just gorgeous.
I've been working on something similar with my own instructor, but mostly to focus on my right hand alternate picking. Using a metronome for timing and gradually building up speed. This is a great lesson. Thanks!
Love this even for just the initial climb alone to use as an intro to wherever you want to go.
Holy shit thank you! I think the light bulb finally went off in my head!
Yeah LOVE that OPENING, screaming alternate picking, with the Dashing Dachshund backup band in full swing!!!!
Very melodic indeed. Great phasing and lesson that explains how you’ve put this all together.
Astonishing technique but also melodic pretty amazing.
Excellent exercise! And what an amazing tone!
Very cool playing pattern.
9:47 “Let’s gradually increase the speed” *proceeds to literally double the speed*
Gods have different standards of time to mortals
Thank you so much for your time and amazing skill.
KILLER lick, John! Thanks so much for taking the time out tab it out and video/share the lesson😎🙏
This is sick man. I love the sound of the muting on the low strings
Damn tasty playing and phrasing!
I wish to see you on bigger stages and arenas someday 🙏 with iconic guitarists. You are pretty damn good 🤘
Thank you for you uploads. Your playing is really cool. Makes me want to play more.

Great lesson. Thank you 🙏🏻
Great lesson John! That tune is littered with pentashredatonics. 😮 🫠🤯🫵🪨
It sucks that I love guitar so much but may never reach this level of skill 😔 you are blessed my friend
Lower your action and go for it. You can raise it back up a bit after your fingers learn the motions.
Awesome, dude🎉
Love this John. Thanks 💯
6:36 The combination of picking and pull-offs really make the defending part of that lick flow. ❤
Damn ! Luv your choice of notes John ! Inspiring ! Keep at it man ! Of all the YT players out there--you're becoming my fav ! Thx so much !
Fluid...... simply... fluid as fk lovely flow n feel
Killer opener shred! 🔥😎🤘🏻

My nan would've loved the content, no doubt about it! 😎
Awesome sounding lick that will make a killer exercise I will definitely be practicing that. Awesome Job🎸🔥

Thank you, great stuff. Would like to see a lesson on harmonic minor.
Just sent this shit to my nan! Keep it up!!
Gave me some great ideas to explore, thanks

I wish I had my pentatonics playable at this level of mastery.
Sheesh popping off on this one, JNC!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!

It's the HX Stomp - using the preset Eric Lead 2023 ruclips.net/video/9dCYfZ-8GgA/видео.html here are all the settings
That intro was appreciated.
Wild how close your strat neck and bridge pickup sounds are. For me it's like going from twang city to Blue Cheer
This is Fantastic stuff ! Thanks man !
sick playing
All of it ... Just awesome !
Awesome lick thanks you 😊
At 6 minute mark the dorian part legato run is very Randy Rhoads like and style.
That is a killer line....
FUCK!!! Well done sir, Tore up that fretboard on this one!!!
Thanks for this video.
Thanks for sharing this content 🤟🏻

I’ll be back, unfortunately can’t have my guitar in hand while at work ;-; glad I found this though great content

@@johnnathancordy you are a light in the dark 🙇♂️🙇♂️😂 thanks man 🫶
What’s your setup? The tone is amazing. Sure that’s not modeller into DAW…
Thank you for the TABS for this super Lick ! 😊
Awesome ! This is gonna be my practicing routine from now on. How many hours of practice does one need to get it up to the fast speeds ?
you are amazing
So, I revisited this lick today and was wondering if you could give us another one, shred pentatonics part 2?
This intro song sounds a ton like Aaron Marshall from Intervals 👍
It's the speed I have issues with.

Any chance you could make a very in depth video of how you use fractal gear for your top 40 cover band gigs?
This was a good one! Where can I find the lick you mentioned towards the end from a previous lesson?
I only learned the ascending part of the lick😅
☺ excellent

Is it on the fractal? Sound is amazing, just like the playing
This is my 2nd msg. Sir Ji, Actually what should be the key practice to attain your speed ? I am trying.....but failure....!!!!
What’s the action on the 12th fret if your favourite k-line strat? Less than 1.5mm on the treble side? I assume fast legato playing is easier on lowest action….is strong buzz acceptable for you?
Hi John, do you do lessons by any chance?
Knockout! 👍
You shred
