I found a 2001 CRV SE with only 100K that had been in a garage and was rust free for $3000. Its been my daily for a year and Im pumped i found this channel because I plan on keeping that car going as long as I can!!!

New Project....! I personally am enjoying my EF civic sedan Build. K20z1, AWD CRV trans with a TSX 6th gear. Wavetrac LSD.. GTX3071r on a sidewinder.. Trying to build a super reliable car this time.. Keeping it under 400hp.. And I have to thank YOU for all your help, tips, and tricks over the last year.

Good to see you. I'm still fighting with my suspension. I can't stand rust either. Everything I pull that is rusted I strip down and repaint. I should probably learn how to powder coat.

Why hasn't anyone made a video showing the easy way to fix the door jamb wiring issue? Step one remove the two Christmas tree plugs under the dash that allows you to pull the wires far enough away from the door jamb to work on. Step two remove the door speaker to allow access to the wires inside the door. Step 3 hardwire the wires together using splice wire.
That's exactly how I do mine. Next time I get one, with issues, I'll do a video on it

I don't have any videos of it, it's not a very fun job on these. If yours is AWD, you will need to remove the transfer case

Ive got a clean jdm rhd awd manual crv(full mark), would just need to sort shipping from new Zealand. Could load it up with some jdm spares for you too. (No rust issues in nz) it has a cooked waterpump and possibly a head gasket but still drives. Dm me if your interested it was going to be a project for the channel
That would be sick, but it would be difficult to find the rhd integra subframe here

I've got a 2000 crv and was wondering what were the symptoms of a valve seat recession or if a valve lash adjustment is necessary?
Usually the valves will be too tight, resulting in burnt valves. I would 100% recommend a lash adjustment

I have an interesting dilemma, I’ve blown the gears of my oil pump apart while running. ACL pumps are junk. Fully built B18c Should I send it back to the machine shop for full cleaning out possible particulates in the motor?

Dude thank you so much for all the content. I've watched a LOT of your videos I'm restoring a clean 99 manual crv ex. ooking to do transmission fluid change and couldn't find a dipstick any where. Did the manuals only have filler/drain plugs?
Manual was just drain and fill plugs on all Hondas

Great video, thank you very much. I have a 2000 CR-V SE 180000 KM, horns only work when ignition is off once I insert the key the horns won’t work, also on start up it makes a rattle noise for about 2 to 3 seconds, any suggestion on what could be the problem?
I don't know about the horns but I have a 2000 CRV as well. My vehicle also has a rattle sound that only last for a minute or so. I can't tell if its coming from the distributor or under the valve cover. I'm in the middle of changing out my suspension and when I'm done I'm going to adjust the valves following the THR video. I'll advise back on this comment if the value adjustment eliminates the rattling sound.
This CRV rattled A LOT. I would definitely look into doing a valve lash adjustment. I'm not sure on the horn situation though.
I keep getting cat efficiency code. Fuel trim on the short side is + 8% the code is intermittent. Some times I can drive it the whole month no problem other times I get the code popping up a few times a week. Any idea where to start. I can smell exhaust every so often but I can’t find any cracks on the manifold or on the collector. The cat is aftermarket.
How old is the aftermarket cat? I've seen them not hold up as long

Have you considered a 1st Gen Rav4 as a project? They were available with manual trans, 4wd and locking center diff. The bellhousing is the same pattern as the 3sgte, so that swap would be an option. Even if you wanted to stick with a Honda K series, that would still be an option while retaining the original trans. HUX Racing offers an adaptor plate that should work.
that would definitely be different. My first real project car was a 91 celica that I converted to RHD and installed a 3sgte into

@@hondaresource The idea isn't so original. Steph Papadakis is building one on his channel, developing some custom parts. There's no word yet on his powertrain choice yet. Just wondering if you can tell me what the 02-06 honda crv market is like at the moment. Looking for a manual AWD with no rust but it's impossible to do that in ontario Canada, people are asking for like 4,000-8,000 for a high mileage rusted out, foot throw the floor board type of crap. Been thinking about just buy one from the USA and importing it up here.

Hey guys, so I have an issue with click clacking noise coming from the front when going over tiny bumps. It doesn't do it over big bumps. I have replaced upper/lower ball joints, upper/lower control arms, shocks, endlinks and tie-rods. It sounds like the upper control arms are flapping around but could it be defective or bad endlinks? if anybody could help I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

I don't, but it would probably be best to replace the seatbelt.

Usually on most manual Hondas, it's easiest to remove the whole swap

You reset it with your key by pressing into the cluster beside the maintenance light. Basically it goes like 6k miles before it turns back red. Just a reminder to change the oil

:( why is my car started making grinding noise after the snowstorm? weather over here can get freezing overnight. so everytime when its 15 degrees below outside... it will always make that loud grinding noise , should i be concern about it? the noise will go away after driving for 20mins or more. then started again after cold start in the morning the next day.
I have no idea on that one. It rarely gets below 20 degrees here
@@hondaresource I found out that the power steering tube was little loose and oil was leaking out. After tighten the tube the noise went away, so i guess that is where the source of the noise.
NEED A NEW PROJECT, BOOST A STOCK LIFTED CRV AND USE IT AS YOUR DAILY OFF ROADER (THEN LET US KNOW THE UPS AND DOWNS)
