I think the grooves and details inside the tire are to support the sidewalls, so that they don't fold over when you are on an angle. They look sweet!👍👍

If you slightly relieve the pressure on the punch, then rotate the tire a couple degrees, without allowing the punch to exiting the hole, then apply pressure again, you will get a clean cut. The webbing inside the tire is for support of the tire. Thanks to an old skool racer named Brian Kinwald, who once cut a tire open and ran the inside out, we have dirt web type tire for our race cars.
Those tires looked great on the Wraith. The whole rig looks awesome! I don’t vent my tires, but I probably should as I have failed keeping the water out of the tires. Enjoyed this.
When I tried it, seems like water eventually got in. Plus, I really didn't like the feel where it had trapped air in it. Glad you have had good results though!
I have 2 sets of very similer wheels by HPI and they are only beadlock wheels i have that have taken any tire no probs. I have a few sets of metal beadlocks in 1.9 and 2.2 and they are a real nightmare to fit any tire i have tried. It bugs me that i cant get my MS XXL to fit anything other than my plastic rims. Ahh well i guess they will find a home some day haha.
I have a set of 2.2 tires the width are 45mm the height is 122mm. I’m not sure the size of the rim. There is a set of tires that measures at 60mm wide and 130mm tall. I would love to get those tires and put them on my rims but I’m not sure they will fit. Even though both sets are 2.2 one is bigger than the other. I have heard story’s if people doing what I wanna do and when they get there tires they won’t fit because there rims are either not wide enough or not tall enough. How should I go about this?
@@RoadsideRC That’s what I was thinking, as long as the tires and rims are same diameter it shouldn’t matter if the tire width is a little bigger. Thank ya!

That does make sense. Would seem to take some of the effort from the foams. Might need soft foams in them.
Right on! Those looked beautiful on the wraith.
Thanks!

Nice vid man. I finally got myself a gen8 yesterday, first crawler in my fleet. Man is this side of the hobby fun
AWESOME!!! The Gen8 is such a great truck! Glad you have been enjoying it.
I love mine! And they’re based in Albuquerque. This New Mexican is a fan. KLRs, U4s and competition pins. I have them all
Great!
I would really like to try some of their other tires as well!
Nice video, I didn’t know about punching a hole in the tire but I never run in wet conditions much less puddles
That is something I do a lot, I guess!
Those are some mean looking tires I need those in my life lol😃🤘🏻👊💯
That is exactly what I said after I saw them!! Took me awhile to pull the trigger - but finally did!
Man those tires looks massive and the thread pattern looks to give some serious traction.
They sure look epic, right!?!? I hope they grip as well as they look!
Those tires look incredible man, 👍👍thanks for the info man. Something to Look out for 👀
Great! I hope they do well!
@@RoadsideRC did you sell these wheels n tires to a Dustin Sanduski ? He's posting your pic of them for sale in FB groups for 100.00 pm me please .
Those are some sick ass tires man. They look awesome on the Wraith 👌🏽. Can't wait to see a running video!! 👍🏼
Thank you!
Working on the comparison video now?
Cool looking tires,great video
Thanks!

Thanks for that suggestion! You are right - slightly rotating the punch would have worked better.
I don’t think there’s a better looking tire out there. I really want a set.
They really do look epic!!!
Thanks!
Woooohhh!! I need these, they're real smart nice one buddy 👍🏻
Thanks! I really hope they do well!

Exactly!
I initially tried to just keep the water out...and have the ripped tires to prove it. Instead - just let the water come back out!
Roadside RC Yup I’m going to do this! Thanks!
That is just awesome so sick,,awesome job brother
Thanks 👍
I hope they grip as well as they look!
@@RoadsideRC Hooah my brother
Great looking tires. I don't vent my crawler tires because of water. Loved the new intro too
Thanks 👍
It seems everyone has their own opinions on venting. I personally do it to make sure I can get the water back out!
I've had good luck with beadlocks and no vents but if the wheels are vented I do the same as you and give it a way out.
Looks sick. Great upgrade👍
Thanks!
Tires and rims look great 👍
Thanks 👍
I really hope they perform as good as they look!
Just received my tires thanks for the videos it helped me to chose these :) they are amazing !!
Glad I could help!
I also did a video where I cut these tires to help the performance in my terrain. Really did help a lot. Take a look at it!
Im wondering which shocks you use on your wraith? Thanks :)
@@Majnuel These are cheap shocks I purchased used at a swap. Honestly, I am not sure what they are.
@@RoadsideRC thanks for the Quick answer :)
Nice looking tires👍👊
Thank you! Agree - they look great!
cool chunky looking tyres but looks and out on the track performance a different matter of course
*👍AU👍thumbs up and a full watch*
Exactly! You are wise with that comment!
They are really nice tires!
I sure hope so! Thank you!
Cool video! Keep up the good work
Thank you!
A test comparison video is coming up soon - stay tuned!
dang those tires though . couldn’t you find anything bigger? just kidding. it looks awesome ✌️
Agree! If I am honest, I didn't realize they were that big! But still, excited to see them m!
I haven't been able to run mine yet. The rain just won't stop lol
Boo! I have got one test in so far. Need to get a little more. Comparison video is in the works.
Interested in how they hook up, keep us posted. Great video
Testing is in process! Hope to get the video up today or tomorrow!
That’s is a great monster truck 🚗🤪
I like it!
Thank you!
To deal with water i only run sealed beadlocks. Water never gets in so dont have to worry about getting it out
When I tried it, seems like water eventually got in. Plus, I really didn't like the feel where it had trapped air in it.
Glad you have had good results though!
They are mean on the rock bouncers that run them, sooo aggressive. Now i wanna get some
Agree 100%. They are a great tire depending on the application!
what and where did you get those foams? will a 6' foam work? thanks I've ordered the tires can't wait
I ordered the foams from Ottsix that they recommend for the tires.

It is interesting how some beadlocks are easier to use than others.
I have a danchee ridgerock and the stock tires really suck when its comes to traction in rocks
That is 100% true!

I have honestly never had a set of tires that didn't mount.
You should be able to mount the tires to any correct diameter wheels.
@@RoadsideRC That’s what I was thinking, as long as the tires and rims are same diameter it shouldn’t matter if the tire width is a little bigger. Thank ya!
how are they bashingwise?
They would be rather bad as bashing tires, depending on exactly what you mean by bashing.
What vehicle do you want to put them on?
😁😁👍👍
Thanks!
where can i get a driver like that?
This is the stock interior in certain Wraith models.
Good way to spend nearly 300 bucks for 4 of those tires 😫
Yes - these were really expensive for sure.
You actually know of a place to GET the ottsix that's not fake & shipping?
Please, do share! LOL!
I got them straight from the source. Their own website.
Supershafty.com had them in stock Friday. Not sure if they still have them
Diameter tire?
2.2 wheel.
OD is HUGE. I forget the exact number, but over 6"
Wanna sell them ?
Sell what? The tires?
I don't have them anymore.
