Hope it works for you! I've had some success with size 16 flies on Gar in freshwater so it does seem to be an all-round attractor. My next plan is to try it in brown for pellet raised fish.
Yes, it will sit high on the surface. You can strip it too, the esturine mullet around me seem to be attracted by some movement. Works in the surf too.
It was designed to work still, but in reality the mullet will chase it down - I found this when pulling it back from the mouths of smaller fish to avoid a hook-up!
Really easy to tie as well. This is the first fly i ever tied and hope now to catch a mullet. Cheers!
Great idea just made a couple. Going to try adding a bit of white rabbit fur (from a zonker strip) underneath the foam as an experiment.
Go for it! It's been tied with a red tag too, that worked quite well as a floating freshwater attractor.
Thanks for sharing
Lovely tie, I’m going to try it for carp in our local pond.

great video i need to try this asap
tying with foam from a Memory Foam Pillow - works for The ide or orfe in my local river.
Well thought out 👍
No way a mullet in my área (Brasil) would fall for that!
Clever tie
Do you feed the shoal with bread first?
Thanks
Depends on the day, sometimes they need a little encouragement with bread to get them on the chew, other times not. Always worth packing a loaf!
Would you consider selling these? I don't have the equipment (but mostly patience) to do this myself.
Hi JB, do you fish this like a dry fly. Castinf uptide....

Wat color would you recommend for the northern Florida region
It's a little trial and error. Tie in white and colour with marker-pen accordingly
Do you fish it still or moving?
