Yes it is a beautiful fly. However, Jack gartside created this to be a simple guide fly, tied fast with few materials for stripers and bluefish. All the extras here seem superfluous for a fly that 3 or 4 fish will destroy. Simple bucktail tail, foam wing, cactus chenille or bunny body, whip finish and go. Works just as good.
hello, obviously a much simpler fly would be enough ... as in almost all fishing situations ... I prefer to make a fly that turns out to be prettier (personal opinion) ... the difference in fly fishing I think is also this ... I don't fish with flies that I don't like ... but it's a personal and very subjective condition

I usually use a nano silk by Semperfli ( 12/0 ),
Dubbing is Sybai fine, about foam is a regular one ( thick 0,5cm )
