Good sales feels good for both sides: they are win-win scenarios where you offer something of value, and get compensated in return. If you are feeling guilty about the way you are selling, it’s likely that you are using sales tactics that go against your values and integrity. Been there, done that. Feels awful, and after being trained in sales by business owner who sells $5M a year without any pushy sales tactics, here’s 4 reasons I was feeling guilty about sales, and how I shifted my sales process 180°, so that I can now sell without any guilt and make great money in the process.

    Gran contenido!!!!

Thanks for tips, will make great use of them. During the number 2 reasons when you talked about time based services, you made mention about "urgency" that we should focus on people needs our services urgently, you asked if we'd love you to talk in depth on that. Pls we do or let me say, I do. Thank you :-)

The guilt for me comes from the fact that web design is often intangible in terms of results. People think design = just that, nice design. It's up to us to make the intangible, tangible. Measurable, needle moving, RESULTS. So I would go through the entire process, from compitor analysis and keyword research to analytical work after the website goes live. Higher client perception towards their brand means higher paying clients, but this is often abstract. A lot of what we do (if you're a good designer) is very difficult to measure. So you turn to the metrics you can measure. Decreasing bounce rates, increasing website lead or sale conversions, higher ROAS from marketing campaigns. All of this translates to an increase in their brands bottom line. Otherwise what's the point?
But what's everyone else's thoughts on this? When selling are they promising an improved business bottom line? Do their customers expect this? I feel like I'm ripping them off, even if it's just transformative design. Thoughts?

I hear you, some things can be difficult to measure. But even intangible things like happiness can be measured. I might do a video about how to define KPIs for your client, would that help?
