Hello, I successfully hatched Nannostomus Mortenthaleri using your video as a reference. Thank you very much. I have recently become fascinated with cenepa. I have one question. Are amaya and cenepa females the same species? Is it a different species? If it is a different species, can you tell me what the differences are? Among your videos, I looked closely at the females in the breeding videos for amaya and cenepa, but I didn't notice any differences enough to convince me that they were different species.
@@하하하하하-d7k Top. Thank you for sharing! Females of amaya have a brigth dorsal fin or a little red in it. Females of cenepa have a very thin black stripe in front of dorsal fin.
There were several cenepa men and some females of different species. I bought some and there were mortenthaleri ,amaya and one strange looking female . I took the strange female out . And put it together with the cenepa male. The next day they were spawning. So I was not 100 percent sure ,but they mated. . The fry(only five) are not ready colored. Only then I wil know for sure.
@@hansharreveld Thank you very much, this was very helpful! I hope the fry grow up to be as beautiful as the parents! My fish store has an aquarium with a nannostomus species they call "gold peru" that came at the same time as nannostomus "Cenepa" and "red amaya". They look a lot like your female, white spot on tail fin and very tall body. I will try to match these together and hope that they breed.
Superb vedeo

Very pretty! Which supplier did you get the females from? I have only seen males in fish stores

@@alfrederiksson3093 gold Peru? That must be Nannostomus trifasciatus gold.
@@hansharreveld I don’t think they are, can I send a picture of them and maybe you can help me find out what species they are?
Yes you may.
The easyest way is on my Messenger.

Are they difficult to breed
@@souljahaden6184 They are not so difficult . It is difficult to get the right females.
