Hey, why wasn't Hyundai Group (+Kia and Genesis) mentioned? Hyundai group is now 4th biggest seller in USA. Surpassed Stellantis and American Honda. Only behind GM, Toyota group, and ford group.
Hyundai and Kia has taken the high-risk/subprime market by storm. Unfortunately, the only thing good about that is the initial price-point. Build quality and longevity are not traits of those brands
Ain't no way I'd buy a new Nissan with their "quality" issues. Between those crapco cvts and now they have a complicated engine design with that variable displacement design to? Yeah screw that.

Not sure where this is happening but it is definitely Not happening around where I live. I have been to a couple of Nissan dealerships trying to get a new Sentra or Versa and they still want you to pay the sticker price or close to it .
We see a ton of Nissan Rogue’s around here. Dealer can’t get them fast enough. I don’t know what part of the country you’re in, but they’re selling like hotcakes around here.
I've had 2 Sentras and a Juke. Best cars ever no problem. Now have a Honda HRV as I was worried about my Juke's CVT and turbo going bad as I had close to 100,000 miles.
The first quarter for Nissan’s good sales were fleet sales i.e. rental lots, not customers. Nobody wants a Nissan. I like the frontier truck, and GTR, but that’s it!
Sure they can sell, they can sell all they want. They just need to ask for a normal amount of money. The psychosis days are over and now you need to deal with reality.
Nissan is in a tough spot. They don’t really sell anything desirable and their quality is below average. Not sure there’s a reason to visit a Nissan dealer.
If everyone would buy used cars (I mean EVERYONE),then the stealerships would be forced to lower the the price of the cars that are priced double what they are worth
But their Versa, Sentra and Altima vehicles where the most sold vehicles and you could not find any of them on the lots .. Especially the Versa !! I think their Kicks and Murano will be their bigger sellers this lap
Nissans are the sweethearts of the rental car agencies who buys them at cost. They are reliable but over-produced. Lucky are the ones buying them for cheap. I bought my 2015 Note in 2017 with the Certified warranty and I'm hanging onto it until the wheels fall off. (They're really reliable)
It's a lot of money to buy insurance. So forget about new cars or trucks. I think it's a scam with price drops. Hell everything is overall priced into the market.
When auto makers step up and offer 0.2 % interest for 72 or 84 months then they will sell there bloated priced cars. Cut the prices or cut the interest rates it’s very simple. This for all the auto companies not just Nissan. At this moment I think Nissan are one of better brands currently out. I know that there some people that bring up the CVT. Like the new trend of turbo 4 cylinders they are not the best idea for larger vehicles. CVT have their place in a proper size vehicle not a bloated suv that someone will try to tow. That’s where mostly those stories come from.
In Europe, no successor for the Xtrail... No successor for the Pathfinder.. No successor for the Patrol. What do you expect? Everyone who needs such a vehicle is forced to go to Toyota.

The worst car I ever owned was a 1999 Nissan Pathfinder. I bought it new and thought it would be a great vehicle. Every few months something was wrong with that vehicle. I wouldn't get another Nissan if they were the last car maker on the earth. The only thing Nissan is good for is creating a huge market for automotive parts makers to fix their cars, trucks and SUVs.
There's a reason why Ford, Chevy, and Dodge are dropping sedans, yet Toyota, Mazda, and Honda's sedans are still going strong. (Reliability) - something the big three are lacking.
Inventory is getting insane. Stellantis is worst off (Dodge, Ram, Jeep, Chrysler, and Alfa Romeo), but also Mazda, Volkswagen, Lincoln, Ford, Genesis, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Jaguar, and Infiniti are all in trouble judging from the start of this month inventory.
The Genesis dealership in Leesburg FL has a deserted showroom, and no cars, new or used, on the lot recently. Their brand stores advertise discounts, then add $899 electronic filing fees and ,$399 additional dealer prep in the fine print. Karma is now getting back at them. 💰🤑💥😆🤣

Nissan Frontier is a solid old school midsize truck & “reasonably priced” in it’s segment. My father in law just purchased a 2024 Pro4X demo with 6000km on it and the premium package for $48K CAD tax in! Havent considered a Nissan since they stopped producing the xterra. Quirky. Capable. Poor gas mileage. But built like a tank. Probably why they stopped making them? Cant sell you a new one or charge for repairs if the thing keeps working.
Nissan has aimed at the sub-prime credit risks for so long & their quality/durability is dubious at best, it's a crap combo for sales
That’s interesting strategy
@@markholubetz it's exactly why there is "Big Altima Energy" jokes about them. They went for the low-rung strata and that's the behavior, I'd never buy a Nissan for that reason alone. Get lumped in with that demographic
@@olikat8I mean people who buy the mustang are in the same negative stigma as well but they still sell even the Kia and they still sell so I dont get the point
@@TinoMiller uhhhh- we are talking Nissan here. You could talk about "Negative stigma" with those who buy Chargers & Challengers, too...doesn't apply to the conversation though. Nissan is a trash brand for many consumers
@@olikat8he wasn’t really talking about Nissan in specific he actually use them as an example .. Clearly you did not watch this whole video ..
And again my point still stands
Nissan just doesn't have products customers want
Agree
Not that they arnt attractive why would I buy a vehicle with a crap transmission thaats guaranteed to fail.
@@pgrut8880not since 2017.
Hey, why wasn't Hyundai Group (+Kia and Genesis) mentioned? Hyundai group is now 4th biggest seller in USA. Surpassed Stellantis and American Honda. Only behind GM, Toyota group, and ford group.
Won't be behind Furd if not for the idiots who buy f-150 with it's antique, obsolete, el- cheapo leaf rear suspension. 🤡💩🙄🫣🤣
Most stolen you mean or most blown engine
Hyundai and Kia has taken the high-risk/subprime market by storm. Unfortunately, the only thing good about that is the initial price-point. Build quality and longevity are not traits of those brands
Ain't no way I'd buy a new Nissan with their "quality" issues. Between those crapco cvts and now they have a complicated engine design with that variable displacement design to? Yeah screw that.
Really ?! They have quality issues just like Toyota, Kia even BMW and Benz have those issues ..
People still buy Kia and Hyundai knowing their issues and Dodge .. So I don’t get the point you’re trying to insinuate
I don't think they use jatco anymore
Buy a Honda van , take out middle seats, big enough to live in V6 power 29mpg on highway and reliable! Yes bought 4k below MSRP
Quite sturdy vehicles for sure and the Toyota Van is great too
Not sure where this is happening but it is definitely Not happening around where I live.
One word, CVT. lol
Exactly
The first quarter for Nissan’s good sales were fleet sales i.e. rental lots, not customers. Nobody wants a Nissan. I like the frontier truck, and GTR, but that’s it!
Overpay for a bland car with a crappy transmission? Nah. I’m good.
Nice
Sure they can sell, they can sell all they want. They just need to ask for a normal amount of money. The psychosis days are over and now you need to deal with reality.
Not really … New Frontier Pri4x in Tx asking $ 45K up to $50K..
with “0” Interest rate for a balance of $25K🤣 so you have to put 50% down!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
The word is out there junk!!
the word of the day
If Nissan had any brains, they would drop the CVT and go back to a regular automatic and offer much more vehicles with a manual transmission.
Have you done any recent research on Nissan?
People are crazy to take on the debt you need to take on to buy a car today. Most people don’t make that kind of disposable income.
Exactly
Nissan is in a tough spot. They don’t really sell anything desirable and their quality is below average. Not sure there’s a reason to visit a Nissan dealer.
I rather drive a bucket to eat good!
Me too!!!! And travel
Indeed
I actually have a 2014 Nissan I bought for 5,000 it runs great
@@lgee9027.. That is a different scenario and a good deal.. buying used always is
People buy cars like People who have kids, they can get it home, but can't afford the bills that go with them
Often people don’t know what they are getting Into
What do people who bring in the next generation have to do with it?
If everyone would buy used cars (I mean EVERYONE),then the stealerships would be forced to lower the the price of the cars that are priced double what they are worth
That is totally true
Used cars are priced very close to new cars now.
Here watching Mark. 👍
Nice
They need to be 10% under INVOICE to move. Nobody wants a Nissan.
Exactly
It's a lot of money to buy insurance. So forget about new cars or trucks. I think it's a scam with price drops.
Hell everything is overall priced into the market.
Nissan has always stood for Great Engine Rust to me.
10% off? Keep going...
Need more than that
I would consider buying a new Nissan if it was a really great deal and it came with a manual transmission.
Yes and there are a few decent models
When auto makers step up and offer 0.2 % interest for 72 or 84 months then they will sell there bloated priced cars. Cut the prices or cut the interest rates it’s very simple. This for all the auto companies not just Nissan. At this moment I think Nissan are one of better brands currently out. I know that there some people that bring up the CVT. Like the new trend of turbo 4 cylinders they are not the best idea for larger vehicles. CVT have their place in a proper size vehicle not a bloated suv that someone will try to tow. That’s where mostly those stories come from.
Nissan has never been a car I care to own.
Cheers
OK.
In Europe, no successor for the Xtrail... No successor for the Pathfinder.. No successor for the Patrol.
What do you expect? Everyone who needs such a vehicle is forced to go to Toyota.
I understand that Standard and Poor now rate Nissan bonds as BB+ that is junk bond status.
i have toyota 2000 i want to buy a suv but when wwent to dealer i found out the price i said forget it i gonna drive my til it dies thank you
If Nissan wants to give away a vehicle I'll take the V6 Frontier in the configuration that I choose. 😏
Would these Nissan deals last until July? Our growing family needs the room found in a Pathfinder. But we’re not ready to make a move now… July would be ideal for us. I’m not usually one to be influenced by FOMO, but people seem to be spending money like crazy for the past few years like there’s no tomorrow… I don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to save some extra bucks… What do yall think, folks? 🤔🤔🤔
Poor quality from Nissan also contributes to their sales drop.
Yes they are no where near a Toyota or Honda
Chevrolet is dropping their Malibus to around $21,000 USD. What do you think? They're discontinuing the car. No Malibus for 2025.
There's a reason why Ford, Chevy, and Dodge are dropping sedans, yet Toyota, Mazda, and Honda's sedans are still going strong. (Reliability) - something the big three are lacking.
Heard a bunch of yap didnt hear what the deals are.
You are welcome
😂only 10% no try 30 to 40% off msrp
That would help
Inventory is getting insane. Stellantis is worst off (Dodge, Ram, Jeep, Chrysler, and Alfa Romeo), but also Mazda, Volkswagen, Lincoln, Ford, Genesis, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Jaguar, and Infiniti are all in trouble judging from the start of this month inventory.
For sure a lot of new cars piling up could mean some big incentives coming up
The Genesis dealership in Leesburg FL has a deserted showroom, and no cars, new or used, on the lot recently. Their brand stores advertise discounts, then add $899 electronic filing fees and ,$399 additional dealer prep in the fine print.
Karma is now getting back at them. 💰🤑💥😆🤣
people are buying Mazda and Honda. Jeeps are junk with too many repairs
That’s true
Nissan is selling junk these days, crappy CVT transmissions and vehicles with 3 cylinder engines? The Frontier is nice and well made but for the base model they’re asking $32,000 not including junk add ons.
Nissan is going under...auf vieder sehn
Seven minutes into an eight minute video before you get to the actual point?
Nissan?.. Not getting my money with their crappy cvts
Junk transmissions
@@markholubetz definitely
Hyundai and Kia are worst that’s why they give a 5 year and a 10 year warranty
Yes true they have to incentivize people
I like Nissan trucks
Which, the frontier or titan?
@@markholubetz only has frontiers. Never had a titan. I've heard good and bad on the titan depending on year. It's discontinued now.
I do recall Nissan teaming up with Mitsubishi or someone. Speculation a titan replacement is coming
Nissan Frontier is a solid old school midsize truck & “reasonably priced” in it’s segment. My father in law just purchased a 2024 Pro4X demo with 6000km on it and the premium package for $48K CAD tax in! That’s roughly $5000 less than the starting price of a Toyota Tacoma & probably $30K less than the TRD Pro. Unbelievable that a truck made in USA is that much cheaper than the comparable Toyota that’s made in Mexico.
@@markholubetz I've been contemplating a Titan lately. In particular, the gas XD. Not at a point yet where I'd pull the trigger, but they're an interesting option.
You lease a Nissan. Only lease one with a full warranty. Then dump it. Your crazy to buy a Nissan with CVT transmission, thats doomed to fail.
Pathfinder dropped the CVT 2 years ago. Subaru uses them, I’ve driven the outback and it’s a jerky mess.
I had a 2012 nissan altima for 12 years. No issues. I did the maintenance and used the parking brake. No cvt issues
Never put a down-payment when buying a car unless you have to... with ZERO down, you lose nothing if you have to surrender the car to the bank....
Horrible advice. You act as if the bank and its hordes of lawyers won't track you down post repo
Lies
Food or car?? Answer is a truck
Hey genius nobody is selling cars right now.
thanks
