May I ask why you have not made the whole skin in one piece, the rest of the E9 boot lid skin is quite flat in comparison to the section that you have made especially in the far corners.
Also your wheel makes lines in the top side of the panel, is that due to the alignment of the wheels or that you have cranked up the pressure for speed?

the fact that most of the pannel is almost flat and the rear of the panel has a high curve is exactly how makes this part not so easy to make in one piece, especially because I don't have a machine to perform deep stretch.
The lines at the top is a normal thing. you can avoid it with a high end top wheel and very tight passes

@@slgclassiccars4098 Are you saying your wheel is flexing?
I have a very heavy cast wheel and I do not see lines on the top surface.
E9 bonnets and boot lids are on my list of future forming projects including the inner frames.
Also on my list is the intermediate filler panel between the front skirts and the front guard fillers. i already have made tooling for the guard fillers.
      It is all very interesting.

@@rexjames0015 I don't know how to answer you. When you hit the metal sheet with a hammer, that makes a mark (the stretched area). it's the same with the english wheel.

@@slgclassiccars4098 With respect to the boot lid skin in one piece what theoretically worries me is the skin going hollow in the flatter area, is that your concern?
Also when you say you do not have a machine to do deep stretch do you mean a stretch former likwe Aston Martin used n the DB6?

@@rexjames0015 don't judge an ongoing project, shape will be correct.
I was wrong, I meant shrink and not strech. I meant an Eckold for example
