  • Metal shaping the front right foot floor for the Lancia Fulvia Zagato "aluminium".
    A lot of hand made with the mallet on the sand bag, a bit use of the beading machine, a bit of Nibbler (reciprocating machine), english wheel, hammer and dolly.
    This repair panel is in steel 0.8mm.
    I took about 2 days, including the cut of the old parts and (MIG) welding

    Good morning SLG cars. You do more with a piece of railroad iron than people with much more expensive equipment. Always enjoyable videos, and lots of tip tricks and techniques. Take care and good luck.

      If you don't know how to do anything with simple tools, you won't be able to do it with complex tools either ;-)

      J'aime bien montrer qu'il ne faut pas forcement des machines très chère pour pouvoir se débrouiller. la base c'est apprendre à utiliser ses mains, ses yeux et sa tête ;-)

    Thank you for sharing this - excellent work as usual! How did you determine the correct panel shape, as most (all??) of that information was lost from the previous hack-job?

    • @slgclassiccars4098
      @slgclassiccars4098  Год назад +4

      well, that's a good question. I always try to shape a new part before I cut the old one, So I can compare with more accuracy hte correct shape. In the cas of this part, it will be totally hidden under the carpet so I'm not spending too much hours for perfection, it doens't worth the while, nobody will be able to see that it's not the original parts.
