Thats what I like about the Foo Fighters.
They very much have their own sound no matter what kind of record they make (even their disco covers.) But you can still pick up inspirations. Whether that's intent or not.
It's really inspiring to listen to.

Man ,I've been watching Matt for....fuck whenever the fuck he started on Headbangers, and I watched Foo on their first tour in NC in a small venue . Damn am I glad both are still going strong!

I get the feeling Taylor Hawkins wants to tell Dave to try something new with the music but they constantly bump heads about it because Dave is not willing to change.

*BREAKING NEWS* - Foo Fighters have announced that Blink182 drummer *Travis Barker* has replaced the late Taylor Hawkins.
Foo Fighters success had nothing whatsoever to do with Nirvana's fame.. Dave really struggled to get Foos out of clubs & onto stages..
It certainly gave them the boost and publicity they needed, but if they weren't good, you couldn't cost on Nirvana's fame for long.
