In an RTÉ exclusive Dave Fanning interviews Dave Grohl backstage in his dressing-room at Oxegen 2011. What are you waiting for check out the two Daves!
I love how Dave loves to just sit down and talk to pretty much anyone who wants to talk and how once you start talking he will keep going until he has to go. It's a challenge for most famous people to do that and that's where 90% of their stress comes from and Dave Grohl is simply an awesome dude. This man is the real deal.
That was an UNREAL show!! I pretty much screamed my lungs out when they played 'Best of You'. And that moment when everyone was singing along with Dave during 'Wheels', and you could hear our collective voices echoing around the stage; that was pure magic. They are all truly legends among men.
Dave is truly a gem. He went to my high school and his grand mother apparently lives across the street of one of my friends house. I hope I get to meet him and show him my appreciation for being so inspirational.
I lovev watching Dave talk especially when you can see he is passionate about what he does. Love that his face lit up when he was talking about jamming with Prince.
I agree with you completely. Most interviewers don't really know much more than the obvious facts about a band/artist and sometimes they just ask really obnoxious or stupid questions. This guy knows what he's talking about.
I just feel like Dave Grohl gets...life, if that makes any sense lol he sees things clearly and says exactly what's on his mind without thinking about sounding like a cool rock star, which is probably why he IS the coolest rock star on earth, and the realest person too.
I'm glad that Dave never lets go of being a drummer because he truly is the best of the best playing today. I try , but I just cannot get into Foo Fighters.. I really do try!!.. but I admire everything he has done as a drummer.. *everything*.
Love the fact that he made the comment about 'who cares about guilty pleasures music'. SO TRUE! If you're not proud of what you're listening to....?Then DON'T listen. So insightful
what Dave said about Kurt and melodies, so true. I notice it when I listen to Nirvana and when I learn to play Nirvana's songs...I mean in my opinion, there are basically no bad Nirvana songs and I always think, how did Kurt come up with this, it's so simple, but the notes and chords take just enough of an unexpected turn, that makes it different, and I wish I could do that as easily as he did. They're all really great melodies...I'm glad Dave pointed that out.
"I'm here because i wanna play music. That's what i live for. I don't live for fast cars and getting fucked up every weekend. I live for THAT (the music)" -Dave Grohl Everythings said. Legend.
No Dave, it wasn't boring. IT WAS AWESOME. Foo Fighter's: Back and Forth is one of my favorite music documentaries and I'm so fucking glad you guys made that movie.
@BOYthatROX they are talking about "Back&Forth" - a documentary about the band's history, they released it in June I think. You really have to see it if you're a fan 'cause it's freakin' awesome :)
i love how the interview guy asks a few question and Dave does all the talking. he is really chatty and fun to be around FUCK THIS SHIT i'm going to meet him
How epic would it be if one day at a big foo fighters gig if they had played all their songs and everyone didnt have a clue what song it was going to be, and they did a cover of Nirvana - smells like teen spirit !!!!!!! I want to see the day that happens!!!!
Found this vid yesterday, watched it twice and again this morning. Luv it and like other comments on here I could listen too DG all day long and not get bored of him. According to Disturbed lead sing "rock and metal is dead" what a tit look at foos look at other groups that are always in Kerrang, popular as ever
i ran into dave grohl yesterday having lunch with boy george at "the hard rock cafe" downtown denver. i couldnt believe it! they both signed my cap. i have posted what happened on you-tube site "jumento nick bengala tiaguin".....just read my comments.
Really?! This interviewer doesn't really ask questions... he just throws out facts to prove he knows about FF/Nirvana/Dave... and then he cuts off Grohl when he's deep into talking about his statements.
True Story: When I'm bored, I sit back and watch David Grohl interviews... The story of this man's life is so intriguing to me...
His story helped me save my life
