    #AfterLife is one of my favourite shows, it means so much to me. The pain it shows is real, people go through this. And I have been through similar situations (mentally) and to see Ricky Gervais portray it realistically at the same time as making me laugh. I thank him for that. If you haven't seen it, I strongly recommend it!!

    That dog became his pivotal point as he was at his lowest the dog was the one connection to his wife. This is beautifully done.

    Am currently dealing with grief. Thank you. This video made me cry. I needed to cry. Don't stop doing what you are doing. You make people's life better with videos.

      Ohh... Well 1, thank you so much for the lovely comment - it means a lot. And 2, please talk to people if you are dealing with grief, friends, family, therapists, or even on comment sections. It will get better!
      Also, I think everyone needs to cry. It's better to cry because you miss something than it is to not cry because you didn't go through the something.. (if that makes sense.)

    I've watched my Dear Old Dad go through this loss and grief for the past 24 years since my Mum died. It's terrifying to see someone break with such complete permanence.

    I’m going to be honest, I have never commented on anyone’s video before, but up until now I haven’t watched anything quite as true to the underlying themes of the show.
    After Life was and is a masterpiece and a credit to Ricky Gervais as a actor and writer, but the way this video captures the grief of loss, the hope that comes with it and the depression too really is just phenomenal.
    Keep it up man, I’ve rewatched this video hundreds of times and undoubtedly I’ll watch it a hundred more cause this vid is just simply incredible.

    Beautiful video. I'm going through some real shit thanks to the mandatory army service in the army and the complications it led into my life, in the past few weeks I just don't want to live and I can't find any happiness because all I do is work in the army like it's a nine to five, go back home and go to sleep after one hour of being home, just to wake up again to another miserable day,

    • @Traxedits
      @Traxedits  3 года назад

      First of all thank you. Secondly, and more importantly, Im so sorry. Sorry you feel that way. Sorry that you feel like you dont want to live anymore. Sorry that you cant find any happiness right now. As I'm not you, i dont know exactly whats going on. And im not really good in these types of conversations, so i dont know what to say exactly. But i can say this, things WILL get better, whether you have to go through more pain before you an go through some happiness or just straight to happpiness.
      I went through something quite bad a couple of years ago, at school, when I was about 15. I didnt want to see my friends, family or even live that much. But i found something I enjoy still to this day, and its quite a menial thing in all honesty, just looking after my health. So im suggesting to find something, anything that can make you happier. Even if you only do it once a day, for 5 minutes. Find something that you look forward to after waking up or after working all day.
      Hopefully things will get better and you'll want to live more, I'm rooting for you. Sending love! 💚💚

      @@Traxedits What bothers me most is that nobody can see the pain I'm in, they hear my problems and undermine them as if they are non existent, depression? lol that does not exist in my family's opinion, feeling hopeless is annoying, considering I really don't have anyone to talk to, I can't talk to a therapist because it's strictly army therapists and if they think I have depression they will fuck up the rest of my life and I can't talk about my depression with my family because they hear me and look at me like I'm a pussy (because I don't want to spend 2.5 years doing nothing important in my life while I could be studying, working, DOING ACTUAL IMPORTANT SHIT like moving up in the world)

    This series is not about the after life. It’s about how to cope with life after someone you love dies. It’s about the after life for the living. He plainly states he doesn’t believe in God or the after life of the dead, but what he cannot escape is life’s responsibility of people to keep on living after their loved ones die. Too bad he doesn’t believe in God. If he did, it would not be so tragic. Life would be easier if we all just acknowledge that God DOES exist and there is a plan for our lives. I loved his analogy of what angels are. Angels are us, according to Ricky. It’s those of us who choose to make other people’s lives better through our acts of kindness. I love his analogy of what kindness is. This is a great series and a must watch. The only thing I absolutely hated about this series was it’s raunchy input and terrible language. The language is a bit normal but not something intelligent people do as much as Tony does. The raunchy scenes and humor is totally unnecessary to get the points of the series across. Overall, this series is touching and thought provoking. There are some nuggets to take away and live by that I hadn’t thought about in the way Ricky presents them. Great work.
