That went by quick, Bud! I could just feel the push of the load going down those grades. Love the old Jake doing it's thing. Owned and steered a couple of 359's. got out of driving in '91 but still would love to make a trip again. Good thing you are always checking equipment. the North is rough on equipment. Love your channel!
Hey bud, firstly awesome video 📹 👏 👍 👌 😎 tons of information, and spectacular scenery en route, wow its beautiful, I can remember some years ago watching the series Ice Road Truckers, it used to take it's toll on the equipment, mostly the vibration on the ice, during your video 📹 when your not on tarmac, your truck 🚚🚚was vibrating I guess it's the grit on the roads, but a great watch, awesome job 👍💪
Yeah lots of potholes and frost heaves and washboard. There’s a lot of road and not enough men to maintain it like it could be so it just ends up being fairly rough most of the time
Those guys that pushed through didn't have the breakfast you had. So that was an advantage of stopping besides more than 3 or 4 hours sleep and being rested for the drive back.
@TheAlaskaTrucker that's awesome man. I'm saving to move up there next spring to truck drive. Do u have any recommendations I've been driving the lower 48 for 13 years now
You can do 4500+ gross a week. But that’s when the road is good and you can do 2-3 runs a week. Some days you’re waiting for weather or chaining up 4-6 times a trip one way. Overall you can make a lot of money but you definitely work for it.
Depends on the freight. Some stuff pays crap most of it pays substantially more then lower 48 due to the extra cost of operation up here. Typically no one runs less than 3 dollars a mile round trip
As many pipe loads as I send North, I've never once went up with one. Respect for you guys that do this everyday.
It takes everybody in different jobs to keep it all moving🤙🏽🤙🏽
I really love that you include us on your trips Dawson! Great territory to run in. Take care. Todd Konoske the retired trucker.

Oh yeah 359s are so sweet. A little shy on creature comforts tho haha and yeah it’s extremely hard on the equipment
Красивый грузовик, звук его мотора это музыка!! Красивый водитель! И Аляска прекрасна! Спасибо огромное за путешествие ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
we need one hour vlogs, loved it ❤
Glad you liked it!
The views r awesome n Alaska.keep the content rolling in from Detroit the mountains beautiful
That pipeline view was awesome
Thank you for this video! What a beautiful area; but eerily scary as well.
Kinda mars like haha
Life has me busy so i cant watch it all right now but i definitely will be making time asap
Young and having fun. I envy you, good video
Pure respect, pure fascination. What about bears?
I agree, keep it long. These are epic rides compared to the lower 48. No comparison whatsoever.
I’ve seen a couple bears here and there but not usually a huge issue

I can tell your a deep thinker
Start a climb at 35 makes a long climb, crawl up one side and creep down the other.
Great video man. Are you an owner operator?
Not at the moment I’m a company driver 🤙🏽

Like the videos, just curious why you don't wear a seatbelt, my son's company here requires it.
I’ll make a video about it sometime. Thanks for watching!
So much yeah!
Impressive
Happy valley is still operational.
Good to know. Yeah it’s been just about ten years since I was up there working last so wasn’t sure
@@TheAlaskaTrucker I own the place so whenever you are driving by and have time swing on by
Can you tell me what the pay is like to haul up there. Currently in ND oilfields. Maybe next year I wanna try it out

@@TheAlaskaTrucker right on, yeah I can imagine. Thanks for the info.
Not a human in sight, must be nice
So why don't you wear a seatbelt? I am familiar with trucking.
Don't worry about it
